Eye Q said they are charging me $15 to honor the warranty because that was the cost to package the frames and send them back to Davis for repair.(it sounded unethical to me, but I could see some reasoning behind it.) But instead I contacted Davis Optical who agreed to send the lenses directly to Eye Q to make things easier for Eye Q.  When I came to pick up my glasses, they insisted on the $15 fee for shipping the frames. . I reminded them that it was I that arranged for the lenses to be sent.  Now the owner/manager/clerk/whatever said it cost  $15 to send back the scratched lenses. When I disputed that, he said there is a $15 dispensing fee.  They lied right to my face by telling me they sent my glasses out.  I suspect they are afraid of the direction the eye glass industry is heading, and the relatively small reimbursement they receive from the employer plans *such as Davis Optical) and now they nickel and dime the unsuspecting customer anywhere they think they can.  Its a shame they can't be like the many excellent Optical places in the immediate area.  There are several excellent opticians on Austin Street.  In my opinion; Eye Q optical is a very sleazy operation.

I don't have my glasses from Eye Q, but it's not worth the fight with them. Luckily my benefit year has come around again, and I knew where NOT to go.  I purchased an excellent pair of glasses from a local participating provider and the transaction was flawless.  Competition is a wonderful thing. Human kindness and honesty is also a admirable quality.

Everything went off perfectly.  Surgery was a great success.  Aftercare was very good.  Dr. Menger injected humor prior to the surgery further calming me and all went quickly and efficiently during the surgery.  BTW, his care includes cab service if needed to take you home following the surgery.  I thought that was a very thoughtful consideration especially for some of his older patients.  I luckily did not need it, but appreciated his thoughtfulness in providing this service.  I will need surgery on my other eye before too long and will definitely be using Dr. Menger.

I've been seeing her for about ten years. She is excellent. She is thorough. She knows her business. She is a prominent doctor in her field in all of her organizations. She is second generation optometry. And I knew her socially before she became my doctor. Andrea is excellent.

They are very responsive. They send confirmation and the actual workings of what they did. It was excellent. I wrote on their website that I would recommend them highly. I've been using them for 7 years. Recently used Dr. Rosin, colleague, who was also very thorough and helpful.

Needed new prescription on one lens.staff was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. The cost was very reasonable. Lens was ordered and received in 2 days. I have since gone back to purchase 2 new pairs of glasses.

This is a busy, crowded office, and there was a bit of a wait, but the staff was cordial, the doctor was very thorough, as was the young lady who tested my eyes. The waiting room is very plain, quite utilitarian in fact, not nearly as luxurious as you would expect on the Upper East Side. There is not a separate office entrance, you come in through the main residents' lobby and go to a door in the rear.

The staff was friendly, helpful & well informed. My exam was performed in an efficient & professional manor. Dr. Wlaschin was caring and took extra time to find the correct contacts for my needs. I will recommend Dr. Wlaschin & Clifton Park Eye Care Assoc. to all my family & friends.

She managed to get a prescription for my mom that was helpful. She was very helpful. She made it all very easy. My mom's eyes are changing fast, and she is able to identify the problems each time we come in. She is very smart and professional.

I go twice a year to see him. He does a visual field test, and then he dilates my pupil to see the veins in my eyes are clear. He checks that there is no build up of plack. This doctor is also a surgeon, but I have never had any surgical procedures done. Perhaps I could go somewhere else, but since I don’t have anything seriously wrong, I have been continuing to go there. Since he talks very quickly, some people might have a difficulty in following him. He is very quick with his answers, but then again I've never had to ask him anything in detail. So far thank goodness I've never had anything seriously wrong with me. I also go to him with the convenience of where he is located. He is not far away from my home. He also has another office in Manhattan. He is not available everyday; he has only day time hours and is in only 3 days a week. He may not be convenient for people who go to work. He has an old office and it's not a pleasant looking one. He does not have a fancy office. May be its good that he is an eye doctor, so if you have a problem with your vision you don’t see the office so well. There were times he is very punctual, and there have been few times I have waited for a few hours. I don’t know why that happened; maybe he was stuck at the hospital or something. Some years ago there was a time when I was there for like 3 hours and there was no explanation. I thought the staff at the front desk would explain why I had to wait. Most of the time I have a half hour wait. It does not mean he's finished with me when he first calls me in. If he has to dilate my eyes, I have to go out again into the waiting room, for another half hour. Then he'll call me back in again. I would not get worked up if I have waited for an hour. His office manager is really nice, she is really friendly.  Like some doctors have an attitude, he does not have any attitude. He is not much of a people person, He seems to be the kind of doctor who does what he has to do and that’s pretty much it. Sometimes it feels nice to feel comfortable, not rushed in and rushed out. He never had to give me any medications or any prescription for glasses. The billing is good. I am going to visit him next month. If I have a serious problem, I might as well go to someone for second opinion.

She was very personable. She referred me on because she felt that my problem was beyond her expertise, and she was correct about that. The person she referred me to was very nice and very good. The problem has now been dealt with by the professional who was appropriate to deal with it. The problem is that she must work elsewhere because she is only available two days a week. The billing has been efficiently handled so far. I probably may not see her again because I am going to have to see the person she referred me to on a regular basis, and I don't need to see two eye doctors.
