I had the pleasure of working with NYZ Contractors represented by Rishi and his team. They delivered excellent results. They were cost effective, professional, and completed the renovation on time. I was very happy with the work they had done. They are dedicated, professional, thorough, accommodating, responsive, hardworking, committed to excellence and nice! I always breathe a sigh of relief when I know I will be working with NYZ Contractors because I know that they will act as an ambassador for my interests and never let me down. The kitchen area was renovated, floors replaced, and apartment painted. New house new life. Thank you NYZ Contractors for helping my dreams become a reality!

We engaged Gaudioso Construction to perform full-scale gut renovation of the first floor and kitchen remodel at our Forest Hills home. We could not have been happier with the quality of their workmanship and are confident in recommending Gaudioso for the most complicated projects. Gaudiosos team of carpenters, plumbers, electricians, tilers, sheetrockers, and painters were all skilled and quite prideful of their craft. Gaudiosos guys were not your typical get in and get out, cut corners at every turn kind of workers. They all worked methodically and meticulously spending the time where time needed to be spent. While pictures of the end product are always great, one needs to see a project from beginning to end to fully understand the skills needed to ensure your walls are straight, your pipes dont clog, your electric doesnt spark, your floors (and hence your cabinets) are level, and and every inch of your remodeled space feels exactly right. Gaudiosos people have mastered those skills which is seen in the photos. The project was based on an architects drawings and was subject to inspection by the NYC buildings department. The project consisted of the following in order of complexity: - Bearing wall separating a terrible galley kitchen from the dining room was removed - A 20ft steel beam installed to support second floor of house (in place of bearing wall) - Steam heating pipes within the walls were re-routed to make way for a kitchen island - Waterlines and waste lines to the bathrooms above were all re-routed to make way for a higher ceiling and increased floor area - Existing kitchen plumbing completely removed, replaced and relocated - Electric in kitchen completely removed, replaced and brought to code (incl. upgraded breaker box) - Complete reframing & sheetrocking of the entire space - Non-bearing wall removed, ceiling, adjacent wall, and floor repaired and matched with existing - Cabinets, lighting fixtures, faucets and etc all installed - Floors removed, replaced and finshed. All of the items above and numerous other ancillary items were completed within the expected timeframe and without any matters of concern. On matters of preference, Gaudioso addressed in a way that told us they wanted us to be happy. One last thing, if youve read this far. Gaudioso took ownership of anything his people did touch or (what he believed) should have touched. During the course of the project there were two unexpected occurrences. In both these situations, most contractors would have thrown their hands up and said thats your problem. Gaudioso, without being asked, scoped the occurrences into his realm of responsibility and fixed both issues at his own expense. Any project comes with its heartaches, especially one of this scale. Its best to hire a contractor with a strong track record and people that are up to the task. Gaudioso is one you can rely on to get the job done without the typical contractor issues.

Allauca Construction did a great job renovating my bathroom and were skilled in every aspect of the job, from plumbing to tile, painting and fixture installation. I provided the fixtures, window and tile and lighting, and occasionally held up their work due to items which did not arrive on time. They were patient, courteous and always tried to accommodate me. Any small changes that I requested completed. Even better, the workers were honest men to whom I entrusted my home. I was always comfortable leaving the house unattended when they were there. I have already inquired about a future job and hope to work with them again.

Ive needed to renovate my kitchen for more than a decade. When I started the process I invited three contractors to give me estimates and plans; one was recommended by a friend, one I found from their advertising on a work truck, and Andy, whom I found on Angies List. Andy was the only one of the three who provided a firm written estimate, a timeline, and detailed ideas for the project. All gave me the same price, but two could not be bothered to provide the sort of written material a co-op Board would need (they gave me oral estimates or sent me text messages). When Andy told me he would have it done in 7-8 business days I became suspicious. Ive never heard of anyone getting a kitchen completely renovated in under two weeks. I was wrong. Andy and his crew were punctual, meticulous, efficient, thoughtful, tidy, and polite. Andy responds promptly to his text messages, he attends details with care, not just details of the job itself but also of things like cabinet design, Certificates of Insurance, proof of licensure, co-op Board approval. Working with Andy was a pleasure and I could not be happier with the finished product. Anyone in need of a contractor would be foolish not to consider hiring Andy.

What can I say about the wonderful people of Next Level Construction that surpasses the overall "A" rating that we gave them? They were marvelous to work with! Their understanding of my personal vision and suggestions they made to make my vision possible was priceless! They were extremely helpful and a dream to work with! The finished product of the kitchen and bathroom were totally beautiful and exceeded our expectations! Any future projects will be done with Next Level Construction for sure. They were on time everyday and especially clean. What we valued the most was the open communication between Pablo and Evelyn. I never worked with contractors like this. Hope they stay around forever! Thanks guys for great work!

I've been slowly renovating my home over the past 20 years and have always used Metropolitan Painting & Contracting to do the work, which has ranged from room painting to gut renovations of bathrooms, kitchen, basement, window replacement, floor refinishing, roof & chimney repair plus other tasks. They are fully licensed, insured & bonded, so are not cheap. However you can be assured that the work will be done safely, correctly and up to code. And they clean up after every days work, so you can be in residence, while the work is ongoing.

From the start, Dominick approached the job with a positive, "can do" attitude. After starting the work, we realized things were going to be a bit more challenging than we had originally thought. My kitchen would need some custom plumbing to make the new appliances fit. Dom handled the situation like a true professional and with a little bit of troubleshooting, he figured out the solution with ease. He's such an expert craftsman, I might ask him to help fix up my dad's vacation house.

I contacted Allauca Construction to receive a quote on a bathroom gut on October 9th and scheduled an appointment for October 12th. Mario arrived almost an hour and a half late to the appointment which is fine, I understand things happen. He was very nice and took his shoes off and provided a verbal quote immediately. It took him 5 days to send me a physical estimate with details. I reviewed the document and got back to him with feed back. For instance his estimate details an $800 fee for drywall, cement board, joint compound, electrical wire, and plumbing pipes, but his ad on Angie's list states that actual materials like a tub, tiles, vanity, toilet, medicine cabinet and so forth are included. Because of the discrepancy I asked that the material fee be removed and I would provide all materials on my end. It is now 12/6 (2 months since he viewed my 5 x 7 bathroom) and I am still waiting for the updated estimate. I asked questions that were never answered. I have followed up with him 5 or 6 times and decided that someone this unresponsive just does not want my business. Unless you have several months to kill before you start your project, don't waste your time. Price breakdown of original estimate: $6,700 labor, $800 supplies, $675 taxes = $8,175
