    The installation, plumbing and electrical work was carefully planned and completed. We are very happy with the way that it turned out. Luca was very helpful with showing us what the best options will be for our fireplace. Antonio the plumber and Raffi the installer were great also. I would definitely recommend NYC Fireplace and Outdoor Kitchens to anyone that would like to upgrade their fireplace

    It went well--they showed up on time and worked quickly. They did not leave a mess or try to up-sell us in anyway and let us know that our furnace chimney was new (we just bought the house) and therefore did not need cleaning--it would have been easy for them to say that it did need cleaning and make the extra sale, so I appreciated their honesty.

    This is the BEST Company to use!  I had them install the new metal liners a few years back and chimney caps.  I have B&P clean my chimney's every year.  Don't mess with chimney's get them cleaned out every year in early fall.  You run a system or fireplace with a dirty or clogged chimney you will have a ton of problems.  Anyway, B&P team is always friendly and informative.  Paul and Bobby come within the time-frame noted they are clean and lay down drop clothes and do a great job!  My compliments to this company and I am confident you will be satisfied too!

    I scheduled an appointment for a wood stove installation estimate.
    The company gave me an appointment for a Thursday from 12-5 PM. I took the day off to be available.
    The appointment time came and went and they did not show or give me a call.
    I called them to ask the status, and they told me they had cancelled all
    Appointments due to rain. I told them I did not receive a courtesy call and waited
    All day. In an effort to make up for their horrible customer service, they squeezed
    Me into their schedule for the next day, Friday 9-12pm. Once again, I took
    Them at their word and rearranged my schedule so I could be available.
    Again, the time came and went and nobody showed up. I called them
    At 12:45 PM to find out their anticipated time of arrival, and they told me
    They didn't even have me on their schedule and were booked for the
    Day. I couldn't believe this company was on Angie's list when they
    Don't even respect their customers enough to honor appointments
    Or give a courtesy call at the minimum. Instead, they make excuses
    For poor service. The person I spoke to last told me the girl who made
    The appointment did not put me in. That's typical pass the buck
    Excuses you hear when companies give lousy service. I signed up to
    Angie's list to avoid these experiences, now I'm wondering if it was worth my
    Investment since I would have had the same experience on my own.
    I gave this company the benefit of the doubt by giving them two chances
    To fulfill their obligation. They failed miserably both times. Unless, you have
    Time to waste, don't call or hire done right chimney. If they can't
    Deliver an appointment, how could you expect them to deliver on a job.
    This company gets a big thumbs down.
    P.S. When I informed the person on the phone that I was going
    To write a review describing my experience, they said "we didn't
    Perform a service for you, so it doesn't matter." That seems to sum up
    The way they approach their business.

    They are truly professional -- knowledgeable about all products, highly skilled, very responsive and professional. Special kudos to Sarah T., with whom I mostly dealt. This was not a low-cost investment, but the rewards have been high. For two winters, we have had wonderful fires at the flick of a switch; at one point this past Christmas, my two grown sons, daughter-in-law, and three cats all sat on the floor in front of the fire for hours.

    They arrived a little late which is why I gave a B for punctuality. They were there all day.  All the men were professional. They were there to do a job and they did it very well.  They explained everything. They stopped to answer my questions. When they were

    finished, my house and driveway was spotless. One of the gentleman actually called and left his cell number should I have any problems with anything. A fun yet professional group of gentlemen, who knew what they were doing and did it with a minimum amount of fuss. Btw, the date may not be accurate, but it was done withing a week of Aug 1, 2012. (I think)

    As a landlord with many properties in Syracuse, Marty has done a lot of work for me over the years, and I have seen the work before, during and after it was done so I know what he is capable of. He could be a general contractor, due to his skills and knowledge, and just oversee all of the work, but for the most part he does a lot of the work himself. He has had a tough life and gone to the school of hard knocks, otherwise he'd probably be a wealthy contractor by now. Underneath his rough exterior, he is a solid guy who loves his daughters, and I consider him a friend now even though I don't need to use him as a contractor much anymore. In general his prices are very very reasonable considering the quality of his work and his ethics in an industry that lacks these qualities, so I would try to let him make a little money so he can continue in the industry and treat him right if he does a good job for you. You do need to keep tabs on him like any other contractor, make sure the work is being done the schedule you need it done (don't let him do other projects at the same time), and use common sense (pay him as the work is done and not all up front), but my sense is he has a good sense of responsibility and ethics and you will be happy with his work as long as you keep on top of him to make sure it gets done on a reasonable schedule.

    It went well. Mike the tech was nice about explaining what he was doing and why. Another contract how came out later said that the chimney cap was too thin but contractors are always saying that everyone else's work is junk but their own. I trust Chimney Magic did a good job and they guaranteed the work.

    They answered my call promptly, called back with an estimate when promised, showed up for the work on time, & did a great job. They were prompt, courteous, & reasonably priced. I would definitely use them in the future & recommend them to others. They were very reliable. It was a good experience overall.
