They had it set up like an antique road show in specialties and so the person I went to in Heritage works at the road show. When I went there the first day, I brought a Murano vase and the gentleman who looked at it told me that the vase was worth about $350. One of the staff members walked by, stopped suddenly, said it was a beautiful vase, and asked me if she could take it to one of the other people. She went and came back and said in an auction this would go anywhere between $3500 and $4500, so it was such a big difference, discrepancy. I have seen him at antique road show, I haven’t liked him, and I feel like he always low-balls things. Then there was another woman that dealt with fine art and she said referred me to another place and I contacted them, eventually, this vase was sold at auction for $40000. You could call Heritage, go in and ask for an appraisal. There are no charges to go in and they had experts of every kind, they have books expert and I had a book that I thought was of value, I showed to her and she said it was not. They had many appraisers who were experts in their particular field. I saw a number of people that came in with things and they signed documents and left them. They list all of the auctions on the newspaper that was going to take place; it was a special edition on Sunday New York Times. The fine arts girl that I met with at Heritage, her name was Barbra; she was very honest and very helpful.

I didn't use Sister's in Charge because I decided against holding an estate sale but would still recommend them.  Ann who works the phones is a real gem. She was compassionate and patient in answering my many questions and concerns. The owner of the company Denise really knows her stuff and projects the kind of confidence that let's you sense you are working with a real professional. I also liked her straight forward no BS approach.
