    My 1.5 year old Mitsubishi Hyperheat 24,000 BTU mini-split hadn't been functioning properly in the heat of this summer. Overnight, I'd wake up sweating and my 3 year old daughter's room would be intermittently warm as well. I called several of Mitsubishi's Diamond Contractors, but had a hard time getting someone to come and look at my system. Art from A&R called me back promptly, showed up to the appointment early, diagnosed the issue quickly, and gave me a fair price. I hired him to do the work because I had confidence that he was knowledgeable and could fix the problem. It was a sensor issue, as the attic walls where the units were installed were getting very hot (close to the roof line) and causing my units to run constantly and freeze up system. Art suggested remote thermostats that could be positioned in a better location in each room. He ordered the parts quickly and came back when he said he would. The work was performed neatly and professionally. Art explained everything to me and even emailed me a youtube video about using the new thermostats. He called a few days after installation to make sure everything was running well. There are not many honest, reliable contractors out there, so I was very pleased to have found one. I could not/would not call on the original contractor who installed my Mitsubishi system because they bumbled the installation from start to finish. I was thankful for Art's expertise, professionalism and willingness to help fix something someone else had screwed up. There is only one company I'd call if I needed additional service or eventual replacement of my system and that is A&R.

    I had an issue with the boiler not firing. The technician that came out, Danny, was prompt and professional. I appreciated that he wore shoe covers so as to not track outside dirt into the house. Danny did diagnose the problem and found that the boiler was not getting enough voltage to operate properly. He instructed me that an electrician needed to be called to fix the wiring. The issue(s) that arose that is prompting this average review is what transpired afterwards. In examining the boiler, we discovered that there 2 random wires that were disconnected. We did not know what wires they were, nor where they were supposed to go (I found out later that my contractor had disconnected the thermostat wires to see if the bypass would fix the problem). I asked Danny where those wires were supposed to connect to. He wasn't sure. I asked him if they might connect to the motor; this coming from someone who doesn't know a thing about boilers. He says he wasn't' sure, but proceeds to connect the wires to the motor anyway. When the electrician came by afterwards and fixed the wiring, the boiler turned on and a loud clicking noise emanated from the motor. It was due to the extra electricity flowing into the motor from the 2 wires that were connected. We quickly disconnected those wires and the boiler turned out to be fine. No harm, no foul I guess. But my concern is that a trained technician just carelessly connect wires to something without first trying to figure out what wires they were or where they were supposed to go. Secondly, when Danny wrapped up, I also asked him if he could take a look and give me a quote on installing a whole house water filter. I already have the filter, I just needed a price for installation. He said he'd speak to his boss, Mike, when he got back to the office and will have a quote for me the following day. The quote never came and when I called Mike a week later to talk to him about the wiring snafu, he just said he'll talk to Danny to get more info. I also inquired a second time about that plumbing estimate and Mike also said he'll send something over later that day. Still waiting for that estimate.

    Master Plumbing Heating Cooling
    On 08/25/17 MASTER MECHANICAL came for a service call to repair LG Ductless AC Unit. Unit kept tripping the circuit breaker and would not properly work. Repair man Robert said that the units control board and motor need to be replaced. Did not specify why the problem occurred, just stated it needed to be replaced. I agreed to the labor and paid $1162 for repair. The unit worked for approximately 2 hours after repair and then stopped working. I called MASTER MECHANICAL back and they told me that unit is still under their 90 day repair warranty. When the technician showed up he said that he had to call LG to diagnose why the same issue occurred and there would be a charge of $189. I refused to pay since it was still "under warranty". I have been calling Master Mechanical asking that they honor their repair warranty, but they would not return my calls and would not let me speak to a supervisor. Every time I call, Jeanine would answer the phone and would be very rude and nasty. She would tell me that she just came back from lunch and cant talk to me at the moment or she was in the middle of something with another client. She would not return my calls or connect me to a supv. I called numerous times and every time they would refuse to talk to me or refuse to resolve the issue. They don't want to fix the unit under their promised warranty or refund my money.

    They service our unit once a year. I have a contract with them. The price of oil is probably going up after the hurricanes. They may gouge me. All the oil companies are going to just like gasoline. They are not always responsive to our needs. They were out here recently to check on my heating system. Who wants a heating system checked in July? I tried to get them out here in the winter and they wouldn't come. They usually do do it in the winter time. In past years they would come out and do it sometime during the winter because that's when you need your heating system working at max and you want it checked. I don't need them to check in July. The heats not on in July. They're on time. They come when they say they'll come. They do my heating and air conditioner.

    Scheduled appt. told receptionist boiler shut down.she told me check emergency wall switch which was in on position. Tech arrives tells me no power to boiler asked if i checked fuse box. I did all fuses appeared to be ok. Long story short bad fuse.changed fuse all systems go.Tech is at my house for less than 20 min. He uses my fuse then writes me a bill for $ 165.00, I explain i have the Gold service contract with them, he says not covered and this is service fee.i speak with owner of company to no avail, mind you this is plumber who did my initial gas boiler conversion, who tells you any problems call us and when you do they hit you with an excessive service charge,at no time did they inform me of the excessive amount for vist .The gold service contract i paid $265.00 for is a waste of money, anyone you speak with in office sounds like their doing you a favor by speaking with you.They want loyal customers but offer no loyalty to their customers.If they needed to charge a service fee for 20 min vist it should have been a more reasonable amount.I cannot recomend this plumber.I have learned their are plenty of other plumbers in my area who offer much more reasonable rates for service contracts and who appreciate their customers loyalty and wouldent consider ripping off someone the way Gayson plumbing did to me.Next step file complaint with consumer affairs and BBB.

    it went well. the only thing was he put in a different shape water heater. the old one was taller and slim. the one he put in was shorter & fatter. it's my fault for not paying more attention. i only realized it when i was taking clothes out of the dryer, it just felt a little tight. don't make that mistake i did. just ask questions & know everything that is going on.

    Every year they come out and do the servicing of the system and make sure it's working right and everything. I did have a problem one year. It turned out that a part had gone bad and they replaced the part. It was still under warranty. The only thing was, we had to wait for a while till the part came in, but then that happens.

    The guy dropped his toolbox in the attic and it damaged our ceiling. They just told me to get an estimate, I don't know who to get an estimate from. They've been very responsive. They always call to give us a time frame about when they're going to be here. They give me like a four hour window. The only thing is, they're supposed to call us on their way, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

    Art (the company owner) came and consulted with us for approximately 2 hours. We were very impressed with his knowledge and expertise and how much time he spent with us because we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We had two other companies come, and there was no comparison. Art laid out exactly what he was going to do and he walked out of our house with a signed contract. He started a week later. He didn't contract out the job, he did it himself! He showed up promptly each day for 5 days and each day, he cleaned up after himself so you never even knew he had been there. The units were installed, and it's absolutely the best money we ever spent. We HIGHLY recommend these units and A&R Technical Corp. It's almost 10 months, and during that time, anytime we've called Art with questions, he has answered and even stopped by. He truly is a man who stands by his product and the work he does.
