    The Doggie Chalet
My wife had two serious medical problems 2 years in a row and this guy came out on his day off and to get our dog when he realized that we had an emergency. It's really really easy working with him. He's not a family friend. I was just amazed. I told him my wife was in the ER both times and he just came out and got the dog. He is great. The experience is absolutely great. They have a big farm. They keep the smaller dogs in a pen and the larger dogs in a pen and they can play with each other. They make sure when you first come there that your dog isn't violent. They have a test and our dog passed and so we know that none of the dogs there are going to be violent. It's a great place and the guy has helped us out several times and not charged us for it.

We've been using them for close to 5 years. If my wife thought it wasn't a good price we wouldn't be going there. He is fantastic. If he realizes you have an emergency, he will go out of his way. Our dog is happy to see us but he is also happy to be there.

    Master's Way Dog Training
Rick at Master's Way Dog Training helped teach us how to
have an outstanding canine companion. I
would highly recommend Rick for any size or breed of dog. He uses methods that you have probably never
heard of but most trainers do not really know how to foster a good relationship
with your dog. Dogs need to be shown
leadership and people need to develop a strong relationship with their dog in
order to have the dog trust that their human owner is the leader and to respect
We adopted our dog as a 12 week old puppy at DeWitt Animal
Hospital. She is a Pit Bull mix and she
is very energetic. We went from having
to have her in her crate most of the time the family was around, because she
was so energetic , to having her a part of our family the entire day. Rick does not use treats to reward your dog's
every move and he does not harshly punish the dog. He teaches the dog to be a calm and obedient
member of the household and a joy to have around.
We had a hard time with her mouthing our family and
visitors, chasing the cat, and jumping on visitors or us when we got home. Rick was able to train her first then he
spent the next five weeks training the owner.
He gave very individualized service and was available more than weekly
if we had any questions or needed to practice.
She no longer jumps, chases the cat, or mouths people.
Rick can help the most frustrated dog owners who have
already tried other trainers because his methods are not run of the mill, I
have truly never met anyone so naturally in tune with what you and your dog
need to have a good relationship and an enjoyable member of your family. He is able to work with dogs with problems
with aggression to puppy education and has excellent advice and training for
    how to housebreak your dog.
I wish we would have had Rick pick our dog up from the
shelter for us and help us start off on the right foot with our new
addition. This is a service that he provides!
Rick is an expert in the field of dog training and he really
helped us to develop a well-trained dog and owner in order to help us really
enjoy our puppy! His training was more
    than worth the investment.

All my experiences with the vets, the vet techs, the PT's and the receptionists have been positive. Whenever I need an appointment, they move mountains to fit me in, and I always know I am getting quality care, not to mention love and compassion. I have rarely had to wait more than 15 or 20 minutes passed my appointment time, and if so, it is usually for an emergency. If I have an emergency of my own, VVH has 24 hour emergency service with a vet on call. Always, I am greeted by a vet tech who listens to the current issue; then I might wait another five minutes for the vet. For most medical issues, aside from check-ups, I get a follow-up call from either a vet tech or my vet for more serious problems or any surgeries. There many be other veterinary clinics around who give quality care, but I doubt there would be any where all the people who work there know and truly love my animals and mourn with me when they pass away. I cannot say enough to emphasize what a wonderful place this is from the people who work there to the lovely grounds to the variety of services. I've been there too often and too long to cite one specific experience, but I know people who bring their pets to VVH from much farther than I travel--from Rome, Clinton, Utica and even Canada--and there are many great reasons why!

    Super Paws Kennel
I boarded my dogs with Super Paws several times throughout 2011 and was very pleased with their facility. The owners live on the property and take excellant care of the dogs. They provide food, exercise and care for the dogs and when you pick your pet up they smell GREAT. The owners are obvious animal lovers and keep your pet safe clean and happy while you're away. I believe the prices are $17/day for one dog or $26/day for 2 sharing one space. As long as I live in the Syracuse area this will be my dog's kennel.

See above. She doesn't need more business, but if she takes your dog on, you have a loving caretaker: direct voiced and acitive and a good, no a great environment. She isn't a quet person. She is boisterous and direct. These dogs are like hers--so if house visits aren't the thing, though i have only heard that she isn't a cat person, look elsewhere. But those of us who have depended on her to keep working will tell you the environment and care is beyone A plus. And our dogs all run to her when she shows up for them.

    Fayetteville Veterinary Hospital
One dog was heartworm possitive and instead of testing before surgery, he did not, and the dog almost died of pneumonia Another dog during neutering, he must have cut an artery and the dog would not stop bleeding. The Vet claimed the dog as a "bleeder" which was not the case A third one, her spay stitches broke and her intestines came out and had to be removed, only immediate emergency surgery saved her life
