    St Joseph's Hospital Health Center
This is the first therapist I have gone to that I've had a truly good experience with. I have tried multiple (6 or 7) places in the past but was never satisfied with the treatment I received. I think my issue was too severe to be handled by just any general counseling office. St. Joseph's provides thorough, all-emcompassing treatment for mental health issues that are a bit more complicated than anxiety or depression. (Although I'm sure you can be treated here for either of those, too.) This is exactly what it claims to be - an outpatient mental health clinic. They provide attentive and thorough treatment that is only one step down from an intensive inpatient program. All of my mental health needs are fulfilled by this one location - I see a therapist (LCSW) every week, a psychiatrist once a month for medication management, as well as group therapy sessions each week as part of the treatment program for BPD. It's extremely convenient that this location is prepared to offer all of these services in one place. They regularly deal with BPD patients and are very well-versed on the most successful treatment plan. I can be confident that I'm receiving exactly the treatment that I need, from competent people, and am on the road to recovery. They aren't just treating the symptoms, as therapists in my past have tried to do, but are addressing the true cause - the underlying personality disorder. Also everyone in the office is very friendly, especially Suzanne - the receptionist on the Mezzanine level :) She is always cheerful and greets me by name.

    Dragos Mihaila MD
Dr. Mihaila is a very easygoing Dr. with a great bedside manner. He greeted me and asked how I had been over the last few months and actually sat and listened and was genuinely interested in what I had to say. He then performed several neurological tests and reviewed my chart and my meds. with me. He asked how my RLS was affecting me since my last visit and if my medication was still working well. He decided that I was still taking the appropriate dose and that he wouldn't change anything at this time. He said I was good to come back in 6 months, but not to hesitate to call in between if my symptoms got any worse. He asked me if I had any questions for him and again sat and waited for my reply. This rapport always impresses me about him because you don't see that with a lot of Dr's especially working in the hospital clinics.

    Nasri Ghaly MD
After five years and ten different psychiatrists/therapists. I was referred to Dr. Ghaly by a friend of mine in the medical field. After two months under his care, I feel better than I ever have. At my first appointment, Dr. Ghaly spent two hours with me. TWO FREAKIN HOURS. He strives to be current with new diagnoses and therapies that others are too old-fashioned or lazy to be concerned with. Sometimes I'm in the waiting room for five minutes, sometimes it's an hour - but who cares? Very small price to pay for what each patient of Dr. Ghaly's receives.

    J Alexander Davidson Esq
Alex is an A++++ attorney. He has been with my family for over 12 years and we will continuously seek his legal counsel as our lives progress. Anyone would be lucky to have an attorney like him in their corner.

    Scaturo, Janis l.
My daughter continues to see her, and we're delighted to have Janis as another support for our daughter. About a month ago, I contacted Janis to explain a challenging situation with my daughter and received outstanding--and free--counsel in the process. Janis has 38+ years experience as a CSW and is just so wise in a common-sense kind of way. An added benefit is that it's very easy to schedule with her, unlike the counselor for our other daughter. Sadly (and understandably) Janis won't work with siblings. It's too confusing to keep things straight with different family members. Highly, highly recommended!

Psychiatric Wellness Care: Dr. Anil K. Verma, M.D.
I have seen this provider for many years.  I am always seen on time.  They are availavilable by phone and e-mail.  If I need a prescription it is usually ready the same day.  Parking is plentiful and it is handicap accisible.  Scheduling visits is easy and I have had very few cancelations due to the provider being unavilable.

    Wood, Patricia
She is very good at what she does and I highly recommend her to anyone who has psychiatry problems for counseling. She is very friendly, open and honest and she is very hands on.  She doesn’t rush you through.  She has always been available to me even after hours if I need her.  I would recommend her without a doubt in my mind and I would recommend the whole office.  I like them very much. I see her every two weeks.

    University Health Care Ctr Neu
My former neurologist worked out of his home and he was crazy (in a great way!) and the most amazing man ever, but he retired and I had to find a new place so I came here. They listen to what you are saying and take into consideration what you think needs to be changed with your medication, if anything. during my checkups we have to make sure the medication is still working and the seizures are still controlled, and they conduct little tests. I didn't even know what he was doing until I started asking questions and then I realized he had been testing me in different areas for balance, feeling, etc. The only negative thing is I don't feel like it's on a person level as it was with my former neurologist where he knew every detail of your life and made sure to ask about it when you came back to him in 6 months because it made you feel like you were just going to visit a family member. But, I would say for people to go to Upstate because the staff is friendly, the doctors really do listen and they aren't in a hurry when they are with you which is extremely important because some places like to rush you out of the office as quickly as possible.
