    This is the 2nd time we used Blue Ribbon and again the service far exceeded our expectations. Our phone call was returned right away (on a Sunday!) and we were given an appointment for the very next day. Our technician came in within the promised time period. He identified the issue within 5 minutes of entering our home. We thought it was a coil, but it turns out the people who installed our floors crushed the dryer vent. He is honest and knowledgeable. It is never fun when an appliance breaks down, but Blue Ribbon makes the process much easier!

    Wonderful service! I called Tuesday evening after Sears failed to arrive. I was given an appointment for the very next day between 10am and 12pm. The gentleman who arrived was on time and able to diagnose and repair the issue on the spot. The call out fee was very reasonable (only $65!) and the total repair cost was reasonable as well. They gave us a 1 year warranty covering the services performed. I would absolutely use them again for any appliance repair and recommend them to family and friends!

    Sears Appliance Repair
    We were given an appointment for a technician to come on Tuesday, 1/3 between 10am and 2pm. At 1:30pm my husband noticed that Sears had emailed him (NO phone call) to inform him that our service call had been changed to between 5 and 7pm that night. This was a great inconvenience because he works nights and I had a Dr. appointment scheduled. He called customer service and there was no way they could send a technician at the agreed upon time but guaranteed one would arrive in the new evening time slot given. I cancelled my appointment and waited...and waited...At 6pm I received a call from the technician himself informing me he was stuck on a call in Hampton Bays and I would have to reschedule. I called Customer Service and the best they could do was offer me an appointment on FRIDAY- 3 days later. After waiting the ENTIRE day for someone to come I no longer trusted that they could provide the service we needed in a timely fashion and decided to use a different repair service. I was also put off by their attempt to sell us a service plan for $50/month before we even had the chance to book our appointment and explain WHY we needed the call. I've owned my home for almost 3 years and this is the first time I've needed a technician- so why would I spend $600 a year on services I may not even use?? My uncle was a Sears repair man for many years- it was a name I trusted and always associated with quality...no more.

    It turned out there was no fee. They dryer was seventeen years old, so he didn't charge the first time or the second time and that was nice. His professionalism, service and cleanup throughout the job were fairly well. He knew what he was talking about. In fact, I have had this fellow come once before and that is the reason we had used them again because it seemed like they knew what they were doing. The only problem and it is not really a problem I guess, and this happened also the time before we used them is that they had to order parts and it takes them a week to two weeks and I don't know if that is something that is normal or it is something that maybe they don't dispatch parts and they should. That was the only thing I would say about them was an inconvenience. He didn't charge me but when they come there is a fee and it wasn't different than anybody else I have heard of, $39 or $49 just to walk in the house. Last time when he came to fix my refrigerator, he had to do some pretty fancy work on his own; it wasn't just a part replacement. So he seemed to know that job. They were right on time, both times. I would look for somebody else just for the fact that both times they did provide an inconvenience as far as the part thing.

    It went very well. I used this company before at their Naples, FL location for a repair on a cracked iPad screen. The repair went so well that when the iPhone cracked I wanted to go to the same company. I drove all the way from Farmingville to Syosset for the repair. I told them I had gone to their FL location and was very happy and told them I drove all the way from Farmingville for this repair. With that said he told me they will get this repair done in 45 min's if I didn't mind waiting...it was great that I didn't have to leave it and come back another day, I was thrilled. He also gave me a little discount for coming such a distance! I went and got some lunch and while eating they called and said my phone was ready. They were very nice guys to work with, very polite and professional. I would definitely go back for any future breaks or cracks.

    When the ten year old refrigerator stopped keeping things cold, I figured it was time for a new unit. Refrigerators are expensive. I decided to check Angie's List. It was the first time I've used the list. A most positive experience. I found a repair service with an A rating not too far from me. I called and asked whether I could get a report on whether it could be repaired. Repairman was competent and friendly. Work was done quickly and neatly. The part that had to be replaced was in his truck, so entire job was finished in less than thirty minutes. Saved me from a major expenditure.
