    Pediatric Opthalmic Conslnts
Again Dr. Grace Liu was very proficient and warm towards my 3year old. Made us feel very comfortable. She gave him a thorough exam- explained all the options very clearly and was very efficient and proficient. The staff members also represented the office very well as they were all friendly and helpful both in person when we went to the office as well as on the phone to schedule the first appointment and follow up appointments. I would highly recommend this practice to others.

    Thau, Dr. Andrea P.
I got in right away and met with Dr. Reinstein. My very anxious daughter immediately felt at ease. So far she has worked with both Dr. Fran Reinstein and Dr. Marilyn Vricella. They've been wonderful and in just a few visits her eys have shown some improvement. I could not have made a better choice. The doctors are lovely people and I can see why their patients regard them as family. They are punctual and their staff is very helpful. We actually enjoy going to the doctor.

    Millennium Eye Care
He went for a routine eye exam and there wasn't nothing wrong with his eyes. Millennium Eye Care was fine and I can't complain. I've been going to them forever and it changed hands from the original two doctors and now it's a big practice.

    Auerbacher, Dr. Jeffrey H.
I waited for 2 visits with Dr. Auerbacher before I did any review. And I am so pleased we found him -- and not to sound like an advertisement, I went to him based on reviews from this site. Staff is fine. It's in Pearle Vision, and as I haven't been to a chain store in decades, I was pretty wary. But so far, both visits went very smoothly and with no problems. It was easy and quick to make an appointment. You can make an appointment online but for my daughter, I decided to call. I needed one that same day as I was in the midst of ordering her eyeglasses online and decided last minute to spend additional money on another exam than spend on eyeglasses with the wrong script. (she had her annual exam earlier with a local optometrist who did not provide trial lenses for first-time-diagnosed astigmatism and turned out prescription was wrong for her; said they didn't have it in stock as it was special lenses) So this was our situation at our first visit with Dr. Auerbacher, who saw us on time, explained everything and did not rush at all. He knew we were there just for the eye exam and understood that I was merely trying to save money. He came across as knowledgeable; he inspired confidence that he knows what he's doing -- and again, all with a very pleasant demeanor. On cost: with the same exact insurance and same purpose (exam for eyeglasses and contacts), I paid a whole lot less than what I paid other optometrists. (eye exam co-pay is insurance-specified, but contact lens exam varies from 1 provider to another; one also charged an extra fee for the alternative exam that did not require drops to dilate the pupils.) The "Do's and Don'ts" specify not to talk about other providers, so suffice it so say that I have been in search of a good, trustworthy optometrist for a while now. Between myself and my 2 kids, I assigned each one of us to (3) different ones so I can efficiently compare and stay with whoever was okay (not perfect, just okay). Within the last few years, sadly these 3 dwindled to 1; then as of this year, the 1 remaining did not work out. As of date, my daughter's corrected contacts (yup-- had to pay for a new set of 1-year supply of contacts for her; returned half a year's supply of unopened boxes but had to bite the bullet for the opened ones) and eyeglasses scripts are great; and so are mine. From ease of making appointments, helpful staff, minimal to no wait time, to a very very nice, knowledgeable doctor and really reasonable out-of-pocket costs/correct billing -- and more importantly, correct prescription! -- we are pleasantly surprised and happy to have found Dr. Auerbacher whom we feel confident with. And, we hope we continue to receive excellent service.

    Lederman, Dr. Martin E
our 3 year old daughter's pediatrician recommended we see Dr. Lederman regarding the clogged tear duct she had since birth. Dr. Lederman's office is wonderful - lots of toys ad distractions for kids. We waited a while to see him but when we did he gave us his full attention and did a complete check up for her eyes. He recommended that we schedule surgery with him at White Pains hospital to probe the duct and spent a god deal of time explaining the procedure, the general anesthesia, and follow-up care. He also sent a letter explaining his recommendation with a copy mailed to me for our child's pediatrician. The surgery went really smoothly and doctor Lederman came in beforehand and made our daughter feel really at ease. The surgery went quickly and Dr. Lederman called personally to follow up the next day. I should add that when we couldn't schedule the surgery until 2 months following our consultation, which was very close to my due date with baby # 2, Dr. Lederman added a day of surgery to his schedule to accommodate us. Very generous!

I have been taking my three children to Dr. Lederman for approximately ten years. He is a wonderful doctor - he listens to the parent/child and clearly enjoys interacting with kids.

    David McCullough MD
Very thorough exam. Doctor and staff were quite experienced with pre-schoolers. The doctor sent us a letter afterwards describing two minor conditions he had diagnosed during our son's exam. Our only complaint is that his billing is done by a firm in the midwest that coded some of the services in such a way that our insurance covered less than they should have.

    Carl Guterman MD
I was dreading this appointment and worried that my son would not cooperate with the doctor, but Dr. Guterman put him at ease right away, making him feel like the appointment was one big game. He gave him a high five when he walked in, and told him and quot; We're going to play with some of my toys today, come on in.and quot; I watched as my son identified the pictures with a smile, and he even made dilating his eyes with the eye drops a game, making this part completely painless. Four days later my son said to me, and quot;Momma, my eyes are hurting, can we go back to the eye doctor?and quot; I would definitely use him again!
