AMonk's Home ImprovementsMy wife and I put off remodeling the kitchen for years partly because we didn’t want to deal with the inconvenience of living without a kitchen for a long period and partly because we couldn’t find a contractor that we were confident with. We had heard so many horror stories from friends and neighbors about long delays and inferior work. That all changed when we went to Monks’ Design Center in Morristown and met Design consultant Marien Ronan. She came out to our house several times and created a few different floor plans. Marien helped us pick tile and cabinets, light fixtures, paint colors, and gave suggestions on appliances. She was always available whenever we needed her and was never upset with all the changes we made to the original plan. Project Manager, Bill Buckner, and his staff were equally as tremendous. Bill provided me with a plan and timetable and kept to it. They actually finished the project a day or two early. All of the craftsmen that did work in the house, whether they were painters, or floor tile installers, electricians, plumbers, demolition, were professional and personable. All the work was done with as little mess and inconvenience to us as possible. Whatever issues we may have had, they were few and minor, were immediately resolved. Every bit of their work met or excided our expectations. I not only would use Monks again but plan on doing so in the very near future. I wholeheartedly recommend Monks with no reservations.- Al C.

AJMC Home Improvement SpecialistsFantastic. We contracted JMC on 3 separate occasions over the past 15 years. They involved completely gutting the rooms and rebuilding to the point of move-in ready immediately upon completion. 1/kitchen including a large custom-built bistro height table on wheels to match cabinetry (to use as an island or not) 2/living room/dining room removed wall in-between for open concept feel, including custom built radiator covers thruout entire house and electrical with channels inside walls to hide all tv/ stereo wiring 3/bathroom including expanded shower and wallpapering Honestly, too many extra details to mention. All of the workers are professionals in their field, friendly, courteous, accommodating. Jobs started and finished as planned. Jobs were planned and coordinated/managed very well with site manager checking in every day with workers and with me every few days to assure all work going as planned and being executed at the highest quality possible. ANunez Construction and PaintingAfter an extensive investigation taking into account online feedback/reviews and speaking to other construction firms, I decided on Nunez Construction to fully renovate my entire house consisting of three separate apartments. Efren (the owner) was able to fully understand the work required and also suggested additional modifications; some requiring no additional cost which made quite a difference to the appearance and functionality of the units. It was quite evident that he was extremely knowledgeable on all types of challenges and knew exactly how they should be handled which he was able to explain to me in the simplest terms. The company employees some of the most skilled people in the trade in all areas of demolition, construction, painting, and plumbing and I was amazed how well and quickly they were able to complete all the work. Eric (Forman/Project manager) is without a doubt one of the most experienced hands-on people you can have involved and managing the team. Most importantly – as with any project regardless of magnitude, you will experience unforeseen circumstances and require immediate attention and Efren was on-site (usually multiple times) every single day to monitor and update me on the progress and most importantly he would answer his phone every single time I called and address any concerns immediately. ABUILT-WELL BUILDERS, LLCI recently renovated my bathroom and bedroom and could not recommend Built-Well Builders highly enough. Keith Hessman was the utmost professional and his work crews followed suit. In the planning stages Keith drew up 8 possible bathroom blueprints for me and when I ultimately chose 1, he even made alterations according to my specs. While the work was being done, every artisan showed up on time and left the worksite each day as clean as possible. As contractor, Keith was there every day not only working himself but also overseeing the workmanship of his crews. He guided me in the selection of materials and fixtures. In my bedroom, Keith reconfigured existing walls to accommodate the installation of custom made drawers and cabinets. He redesigned existing closets to increase their utility. Keith was amazing and a pleasure to work with and I would certainly hire him again!- ruth h.
