    My husband had a very positive experience from start to finish. They have more than one office so the receptionist made sure he would see the doctor at the office where they can test his hearing. The doctor was very thorough during his appointment and explained everything. My husband will be seeing him again for a follow-up in six months.

    He is exceptional and takes his time with each patient. He explains what is happening and his follow up is great. His office staff is very helpful. He makes you feel that you are very important. He listens well and answers all your questions. He makes sure that he does call up the required people like the hearing aid company in a timely manner. You may have to wait a little bit in his office because he takes his time with patients. However his staff always makes sure that they call to inform you about the delay.

    It went OK. Getting hearing aids for my child was a frustrating experience. No insurance programs, the things are very expensive and it appears to be very limited service providers for children. Nonetheless I found Dr Bodkin to be a good resource and he did get the job done.

    Pricing for hearing aids was very expensive and they would not price match other similar audiologists (or come even close), combined with being out of network, this differential resulted in a difference of several thousand dollars out-of-pocket to me.  Having said this, I would highly recommend ENT for the physician part of the practice.

    When you go in there it takes two hours to get out of there. But all the eye doctors are the same. That's the way they operate. They do one little thing the technician and then you sit and you wait and then do another test, somebody else takes you and then you sit and you wait until you eventually see a doctor. But they are all the same. They are all professional and they are all good. My only criticism of the whole thing is they book a whole bunch of patients at the same time and you have one little test and then you wait and another test and you wait, you can't get out of there in under a couple of hours. If you have a problem that needs to be addressed immediately they will get you in.

    I called Smithtown Hearing Services (SHS) as soon as I left my ENT and was able to get an appointment for the following day. Nicole the receptionist is pleasant on the telephone and in-person. Theparking lot has ample regular and handicap parking. Upon arrival at the office I signed in and was invited to enjoy a freshly baked chocolate cookie (daily) and a cup of Keurig coffee! The waiting area is comfortable, but could use a little bit more light. I was taken in promptly for my appointment with Rita, the audiologist, who proceeded to discuss my hearing test results and various types of hearing aids available. My insurance had already been checked so we knew what my coverage would be and therefore my price range which made everything really stress free. I tried a few and selected the type I wanted relatively quickly. I was told it would take two weeks for my hearing aids to arrive. Scheduled appointment for pick up and and quot;training.and quot; For my next appointment I was asked to bring someone close to me so my fiancee accompanied me. The reason for this is once the hearing aids have been fitted and adjusted they want someone with a familiar voice to be there to and quot;testand quot; your hearing. After trying different attachments for the ear pieces, the hearing aids fit comfortably. Rita made some adjustments on thecomputer to allow approximately 50-60% of the total hearing available to me. She explained that she would increase the amount to 100% slowly over a few weeks for me to get used to hearing sounds I hadn't heard in a while! Next she tested some sounds in the consultation room and then she took my fiancee out of the room and had him keep talking to me as they walked away and around a corner in the office hallway. He was asked to speak at a normal level and I had to keep saying whether I could hear him or not. Well, they worked and I heard him and it was AMAZING!! I left with the aids and no bill as they told me that once my insurance covered its portion the office would bill me for my share. It has now been nine weeks since I got my hearing aids and I have still not received an invoice for my share! I scheduled a follow up for two weeks, but was having a bit of a problem with one of my hearing aids popping out of my ear so I went back during the practices and quot;walk-inand quot; hours which are Wednesays from 9am-11:45am and Friday 12:30pm-1:45pm. I was seen within ten minutes of arriving and seen by Brandi, another of the practices audiologists. I explained my problem, she took out a box full of different wires and gizmos and in literally 10 seconds fixed my issue! Couldn't have been simpler. I have been back to the office for two more follow ups and as with my first couple of appointments I have been taken within five minutes of arriving. My appointments have been swift and productive. A great benefit is the practice provides its patients free hearing aid batteries for life!! The batteries need to be changed about every ten days so I figure I am saving about $35 a year and over ten years that's a lot of money! As well there is no charge for a follow up appointment, cleaning or walk-in visit.

    Karen Herring is outstanding.  She is very intelligent, communicates well, exceptionally patient and professionally very knowledgeable.  Note that she is in a new office with Dr. Scott Kay in Plainsboro.  I have used her services for hearing aids for a number of years and I highly recommend her.

    Dr. Beuhler made sure that in testing for a hearing aid, we tested with  the added factor of dementia in mind.  He recommended a hearing aid  and at our next appointment adjusted it to my husband's ears.   He offered us a trial period in which to decide to keep the hearing aid.  We did keep it as members of the family felt that my husband was better able to participate in family gatherings with the hearing aid.   My husband was not so sure that he was being helped, but this is not due to any inadequacy in Dr. Beuhler's efforts and skills.   If I should develop a hearing problem, I would definitely use this provider.
