  • They were very professional and worked with us to come up with a design to suit our ages and property. Jerry did a great job, listened to our preferences and his crew was respectful and very hard working. I liked that Jerry was flexible and put the customers taste first.

  • Mike helped create loose stepping stone walking paths through a large yard and in the gardens. He created an informal patio and re-did the sealant between 30 year old entry pavers. Our entry looks new again! A+ for professional work done to our complete satisfaction, and appreciated for his attention to detail. Clean up was done daily, and Mike and his help were fantastic to work with.

  • First let me say that the owner, Mark McCarthy, is very professional in all dealings.  He is on the job site every day, either overseeing the highly skilled workers in his employment or doing hands-on work.  He maintains a no nonsense work environment, even though his most highly skilled workers are his family members. Mark is one of the most honest men I have ever worked with - he went over his VERY detailed bill with me, explaining how he arrived at each line item.  There is so much pride in the workmanship of the Pittsford Painting team and it is apparent by their willingness to go over and above what is expected of them. The leveling of the brick pavers took a huge amount of time and strength, James and Kevin were able to bring my pathway back to its original look.  No, I would say it looks even better than the original!

The workplace is always kept tidy and at the end of each day my house was left looking as clean, if not better, than how they found it.   There is an old-school pride in craftsmanship that is very refreshing to encounter.  I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone.  I have been in my house since 1983 and there are many things that need a little attention and some that need ALOT of attention - Mark made it easy for me to prioritize what needed to be done and helped me with options that were within my price range.

Going forward I plan to contact Mark at Pittsford Painting and Home Improvement on a yearly basis to go over what I need to do to maintain my home for many years to come.  When I walked around my house and saw all that they had accomplished, it actually brought tears to my eyes.  It renewed my pride in ownership and I felt that I had finally found a company that would help me make my house the best it can be for years to come.

  • Paul did a great job! He was flexible in his scheduling with us, was very thorough. You can tell he takes pride is his work as he did even more than we had contracted for in order to make our front walk and back patio / steps look right. Highly recommended!

  • Fireplace insert: I couldn't have picked out a more perfect insert than Ed did.  It had every feature I was looking for, was very reasonably-priced, and the style was exactly what I wanted.  Installation went very well, despite the non-level fireplace that we had to deal with.
Kitchen tiles: I had my kitchen totally remodeled a couple years ago, and soon after about 15 tiles felt like they had sand underneath them (Ed told me they probably actually did).  They weren't installed with sufficient adhesive, and although they'd never actually broke or became dislodged, they came right up when he started removing the grout.  Grout was stronger than the adhesive!  He was able to reuse all the tiles, since there was almost no adhesive applied, and after using the same grout as the original contractor, you can't tell the difference.  I love that my kitchen no longer sounds like I'm walking on the beach!
Garage: Ed did an amazing job on the floor, which looked like an English muffin with all its nooks and crannies.  He powerwashed it, applied a new layer of concrete, then epoxy.  For the walls, he removed the bottom three feet worth of drywall (which was all rotted from water damage) and replaced it with durarock, and patched about a dozen holes in the walls and ceiling.  It's like I have a whole new garage now!
Ed was punctual, and if he was going to be late, he called.  Being in a service industry myself, I realize the importance of communicating well with your customer, and Ed understands that.  I've had problems with previous contractors being pretty bad about communicating (if they did at all).  He was very down-to-earth, no BS, did what he said he'd do and if I needed any small adjustments he took care of them immediately.  Price was very reasonable, and I will certainly use him again if I need any improvements done in the future.  Would definitely recommend!

  • We have used this landscaper for a few years now, we have always been very happy with his work.  John always responds promptly and does a great job.  Workers always arrive when they say they will and always clean up after themselves.
We also use this company for snow plowing and plan on continuing to use them in the future.  Would highly recommend them.

  • Our installation was not your typical installation in that it was being installed over the top of a previously installed concrete patio that was installed by another contractor who did a horrible job. Twin Oaks had to correct a slope on our patio that was over 11 inches from one side of the patio to the other. This was a very time consuming process which involved installing a mini retaining wall around the outside of the existing patio which would then hold in all of the new material that they would be installing to fix this slope issue. In addition, because we were using natural stone, each individual stone needed to be leveled before installing the next piece, which was a very time consuming process. When it was all said and done, the patio turned our wonderfully and we could not be happier with the finished product that Twin Oaks provided us.

  • Excellent, he is always on time, does exactly what he says he will do and more, when he finishes he leaves everything in great condition.
