    I didn't give perfect scores across the board for a few minor reasons. I had a question before work began regarding replacement of a broken downpipe and flange. Service provider contacted me quickly after I submitted a request through Angie's List. Provider's e-mail to me had "car cleaning" in the subject line, which confused me until I read the e-mail. He offered to fix the downpipe and flange if I purchased the parts myself (to save money). I planned to do that and then contact provider again to schedule a date for the work to be done. The very next day I got home from work to find a mysterious white kitchen trash bag sitting next to our garage door. I peeked inside and saw what looked like dirt and wet leaves. I thought it might have been plant cuttings from our neighbor for my wife to plant in our yard. When I got home I asked her about it but she said no, she was not expecting any cuttings from the neighbor. She refused to look in the bag and was "creeped out" that someone had left a bag with unknown contents sitting next to our garage. Later that evening I found an invoice for gutter cleaning in my front door jamb. Eventually I put 2-and-2 together and realized the gutter cleaners had been there that day and had bagged up the gunk they cleaned out of our gutters and left it in a bag by our garage door (perhaps as evidence for us to see what they had cleaned out of our gutters?) Of course, I had not yet purchased the parts that needed replacing, so in order to get my downpipe and flange fixed will now require another visit, which I'm sure will cost more than it would have if they had waited for me to contact them that I had the parts they needed. In any event, the service seemed to be performed as expected, but the miscommunication in the e-mail and the bag left behind with no explanation leaves me unable to give a perfect rating. I also think $149 to clean gutters is rather pricey (it couldn't take more than 30-45 minutes to do the work), but that seems to be the going price. I guess I'm in the wrong line of work, LOL.

    A month after the gutter cleaning we noticed water pouring over the gutter near the downspout. We are not in that part of the house a lot so that is probably why we didn't notice the problem right away. We called the company and were told they would come back and "if it is old stuff they will take care of it at no charge but if it is new there will be a charge". We would have to take their word if they say it is new. There are no trees in that area. Lesson learned: we will be home in the future (with a different company) to see what is being done.

    Excellent job. We had just completed several major projects at our home and the dust and dirt was awful. We talked to Danielle at Picture Perfect and are so happy we did. Danielle and the crew were on time, very professional and worked together well. A lot of attention was paid to detail, which was very important to us. They asked what we wanted done in each room, addressed any concerns, and respected our wishes for specific items or products. Upon completion we were taken through each room and spot checked areas. If there was even one speck of dust Danielle would take care of it and let whomever cleaned that area know (in a very nice way) that something was missed. All in all, we highly recommend Picture Perfect and will now use them on a regular basis. Thanks for a great job.

    Another great experience with Monroe Gutter Cleaning LLC this year. The past few years we have used Monroe Gutter Cleaning LLC to clean out gutters and roof at the end of the fall season. We usually have to wait until late in the year because the trees around us drop at the end of November and Chet has always been great about working us in even when the weather isn't great. We will be back again next year!

    Picture Perfect Cleaning
    Joshua cleaned my gutters, and offered valuable advice. I had him out because, during a recent driving rainstorm, our dinning room ceiling, walls and floors were damaged by water coming in from the roof. I noticed one downspout was clogging up and a lot of water was backing up. He was able to look over the situation and gave me valuable feedback, in addition to cleaning my gutters. He was prompt, very professional, and does a great job.

    Great!...Josh went solo on this job (usually has help)...did a very thorough job...we finally found someone who takes pride in his work!...He checked the roof...found some insect infestation which we will now attend to...we'll be calling him soon for spray wash of entire house...better call him fast...he's getting overbooked!!!

    They did a good job. It was easy. They were able to look from an online picture to give us an estimate, and then they just came out, and we left a check in the mail for them. 

    It was the only estimate we got. There were parts that were still clogged for me, but the gutters were clean.

    They did my bathroom plumbing improperly. When I came home a couple of days later, there was water pouring out of my kitchen sink. The light fixture that has wrought iron wings on it, the water was pouring down those and left a puddle on the floor. I called them, they said to shut off the water. We had to leave the house, we had to eat dinner out, we had to not take showers, etc. It cost us dinner, which we weren���t going to go out, but they came at like 7 in the morning the next morning and fixed it, no problem. Within the next year and a half, my son had to come over and fix the ceiling 3 times because I kept getting cracks and he had to come over and put drywall compound and sand it out and repaint it three times. Then one day, I was sitting there and this patch, that the previous owners must have done, so I���m sitting there and this patch appears on my ceiling, and I���m like something���s really wrong here. So I called my son and he said he���s coming right over. He came over, touched it, and said, ���Ma���am, this is full of water��� and puts his finger right through it. Water squirts out, called Nulook, who I instantly adore them. So, my son started ripping down the drywall, because it���s the water that���s been causing me damage, which has been causing me damage. So, I���ve got mold in there and I���ve got a bathroom shower that I can no longer use, because what they came to fix was not correct. So, I found another company online with an ���A��� rating, and I called him on Sunday he came on Tuesday and we pulled down more drywall, filled the garbage can with drywall, and we could see the mold. Then went upstairs and first, we had to run all the sinks and all the showers, because they did two bathrooms for me and they backed up to each other. So, we had to run both showers and then we had to flush the toilets, and this went on for a half an hour. Then he finally said, Chris, we have to take a piece of drywall out, so he takes the cover off and there���s more mold and when they repaired it, they still didn���t repair it right. I took pictures and stuff and we called Nulook and the new contractor stood there right on the phone and said, ���yes, this is your fault. I���m going to fix it for her or her son is going to fix it for her, we haven���t determined that, but you are going to owe her money back���, and he said, ���I don���t believe it���s my fault��� and he said, ���well, it is���, then he said, ���well, I���ll give her a little money back, but I���m not covering the whole repair���. Now, mind you, I���ve already had it repaired three times. How arrogant to not think��� He had is father work for him because his wife came down with cancer, who was his partner, so, his father was working for him. He can���t know what his father���s work was like. Even his own work: people make mistakes and sometimes something goes wrong. You can���t be arrogant in your practice and deny that you have anything to do with it and say, ���oh, it���s another problem and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah���. We took pictures. You could see that many, many, years ago they must have had a pluming problem that they had brand new solder and everything was brand new and excellent. The part that was wrong was the part that they did when they replaced the faucet and the handle. For a year and half, I had all this leaking. So, for them to say that they didn���t have anything to do with it is totally obnoxious. So, I sent him a whole email and a copy of the bill back in February and told him that if I didn���t hear from him, I���m just going take him to small claims court. I haven���t done that yet. I���m on social security here. I had to pay for this three-times over, plus a full-priced contractor. I don���t think that���s right. I would say Nulook contractor absolutely refused to stand behind it and I had to hire someone else to repair it. Originally, the price was an ���A���. It was over $5000. Everything else was excellent, but this little plumbing problem. They���re charging you for an 8-hour day. They���re freaking you out and everything, then they���re here for 4 hours and they run out every day, and then come back for 4. I think they were rushing way too fast. But, their stuff was good. Up until this incident, their professionalism was excellent, but I���ve got to drop them down to a ���C��� because they blew it. I'd love to use them again, because I really was happy.

    First let me say that the owner, Mark McCarthy, is very professional in all dealings.  He is on the job site every day, either overseeing the highly skilled workers in his employment or doing hands-on work.  He maintains a no nonsense work environment, even though his most highly skilled workers are his family members. Mark is one of the most honest men I have ever worked with - he went over his VERY detailed bill with me, explaining how he arrived at each line item.  There is so much pride in the workmanship of the Pittsford Painting team and it is apparent by their willingness to go over and above what is expected of them. The leveling of the brick pavers took a huge amount of time and strength, James and Kevin were able to bring my pathway back to its original look.  No, I would say it looks even better than the original!

    The workplace is always kept tidy and at the end of each day my house was left looking as clean, if not better, than how they found it.   There is an old-school pride in craftsmanship that is very refreshing to encounter.  I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone.  I have been in my house since 1983 and there are many things that need a little attention and some that need ALOT of attention - Mark made it easy for me to prioritize what needed to be done and helped me with options that were within my price range. 

    Going forward I plan to contact Mark at Pittsford Painting and Home Improvement on a yearly basis to go over what I need to do to maintain my home for many years to come.  When I walked around my house and saw all that they had accomplished, it actually brought tears to my eyes.  It renewed my pride in ownership and I felt that I had finally found a company that would help me make my house the best it can be for years to come.
