Garage & Driveway reviews in East Syracuse

    Pro Pave
If I could give them am F-, I would. Summer 2017, I had gotten several quotes for a new driveway and decided to go with them. They had good reviews and they gave me a quote quickly and it was reasonable. That's where it began and ended. I was given a date they would be there, and they never showed up. I spoke to them several times and there was always an excuse. At the end of the season, they said, "you're scheduled for tomorrow. N Grid is marking lines today." Well, N. Grid showed up, but ProPave did not! I called them 4 times after the fact, and they never answered and never showed up. This company couldn't be less professional. Back to the drawing board!

    Senke's Specialty Service Inc
Everything was perfect from customer service to the actual visit. No price was mentioned but they came highly recommended from our regular handyman who is also great. The price was exceptionally reasonable and the gentleman who came to do the work was friendly, professional, quick and did the job right. Couldn't be happier, glad there are still companies like this around.

From start to finish they did amazing. Right from the estimate from JR to Tom and the paving crew he had they were on time, courteous, and efficient ! They did a fantastic job and were able to fit us in. It was great to see the owner out working with his crew and how well they all work together as a team! I highly recommend them!!!

    Curb Appeal of CNY LLC

According to Angie's List, Curb Appeal is one of four snow removal services within five miles of my East Syracuse home. Geographically, I am much closer to Fayetteville than to East Syracuse, and Angie's list indicated that Curb Appeal had Fayetteville customers.  So I was very disappointed to learn today that the business doesn't "have a route in East Syracuse" and wouldn't take me as a new customer.  I called the business on Dec. 31st and only found out today (Jan. 2), when I called them again, that they would not add me to their route.  Joe Marotti, the owner of the business, was very friendly and recommended another provider  (who was not on the list of businesses Angie's List suggested).  If Curb Appeal added my location to their route, I would certainly consider hiring them for my snow removal.

I understand that businesses like Curb Appeal need to minimize costs by limiting the areas they serve.  But it was frustrating to discover that, even though Angie's List suggested this provider on the basis of my location, the business couldn't add me as a customer because of...my location!   My need for snow removal arose very recently as a result of health problems.  Now I get to start over seeking someone to provide this service before the Manlius town plows block me in with a mountain of icy snowpack!

This is not the first time that Angie's List has recommended a business "in my area" which has been unable to take me as a customer because my location isn't "on their route."   It's just the first occasion on which I've posted a comment about the situation.  I wish that Angie's List would offer the ability for businesses to post a link to a "coverage map" that indicated the areas for which they currently accept new customers.  It would be up to the businesses to update their coverage maps, and the consistency with which they did so would represent another criterion on which they could be evaluated.  This "coverage map" function would eliminate a lot of unnecessary "telephone tag" and more efficiently direct subscribers to services which will actually take them as customers.

RBM Enterprises Gen. Contracting & The Deck Doctor
Rick and his crew did an amazing job at our home.  we needed major repairs on our home.from siding to sheetrock,to porch rehab  Rick and his crew were here every day until the job was completed and we were happy with the finished product.  I cant say enough about this company, especially in todays world of dishonest contracters which we have had, and RBM corrected. Rick came up with the best solutions for the job and working within our budget,,,paying attention to every detail and not side stepping anything. Never doing it any old way just to get it done, which means everything. His caring and honesty says a lot about him and his company. Our house is beautiful and will be for many years to come!

Very prompt initial responses, then about a week went by and I reached out to contact them via Angie's list. Once I did that they were quick to respond and complete the job. The job was done quickly and  thoroughly.

Scott was fantastic! He trimmed the grass along the edges of the driveway, cleaned the driveway off until it was pristine, and then sealed the driveway - all in 90 degree heat. His work was extremely neat and well done. Scott is a man who takes pride in his work, and it really shows.

    Lighten Up! Organizing
I hired Pam to help my mother, husband and me clean out my mother 's garage.  None of us had ever worked with an organizer before, and I think my mom was actually dreading the project, and I KNOW my husband was, but Pam was wonderful and made the project almost painless.  Well, at least as painless as any large decluttering project can ever be.  :)   Pam arrived exactly on time and immediately set to work.  As another reviewer noted, she is very hardworking and didn't even take a break.  We went through all the cupboards, shelves and boxes, Pam systematically taking everything out for us to decide what stayed and what went.  My mother particularly appreciated that Pam was very helpful and supportive, but did not in the least bit exert any pressure or judgment about what should she tossed.  If we were stuck, she was able to provide helpful, calm, and insightful advice so that we could decide one way or the other.  Once everything was cleared from a section and we know what was staying, Pam put those items back in an orderly and logical fashion, with best accessibility for the most-often used items.  She also pitched in with wiping down shelves, sweeping, labeling, and boxing up items.  She was well prepared and came with tape, index label cards, markers, scissors, etc.  We had figured on 3 hours, but Pam stayed an extra 45" so that we could finish of the project.  My mother is quite pleased with the results, and now has much more room to store the items she actually uses.

    Ken's Paving Co Inc
First layer was done in September, 2012. Showed up when scheduled. Did the job in the estimated time. Crew was pleasant, clean and efficient. Very satisfied with that portion. Finished layer was laid down in April, 2013. Called me on a Tuesday to see if the next day was OK. Showed up as scheduled. Finished job in under two hours. The driveway looks great. Very satisfied.
