    Buza Construction of CNY Inc
They installed a new tub/shower with tile surround, new toilet, vanity and medicine cabinet as well as all new fixtures and shut-off valves. The sub-flooring and water wall needed to be repaired too. I have a new electric baseboard heater and GFI outlet switches. The Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring was a great suggestion by the owner, Rick and it looks great! They teamed up with Dannan Plumbing to handle the install of tub, toilet and vanity. You could tell they have worked together many times and have a great relationship. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I'm very pleased with the results and would definitely hire them again.

    Affordable Solutions by Brian
Hired Brian thinking with all these great reviews that him and his crew were a bunch of stand up guys. Nope. They came early to our job due to someone cancelling but they informed us that the next day they were all pretty much going on vacation. Normally that would be no issue but once they were done we really saw how "great" their craftsmanship is. We agreed to have our washer and dryer being installed in our upstairs closet and for a side door to be installed into our garage. They arrived at 8am and Brian himself didn't leave until almost 8pm. Sounds good right? Nope. Jason informed us that the closet frame would look great after he was done and there would be no point to change it to a new trim. It looked horrible when he was done, he also cut a hole in our wood floor and left it there. On top of that one of the hoses still had plastic in it not allowing water to come up. They "fixed" our floor with a block and Jason told us that Brian himself would come back to repair the floor, he didn't someone from his team did. Almost 3 weeks later, good thing I had cardboard laying around to keep the machine from shaking. These idiots also some how screwed up our piping in the basement sending our hot water to the cold intake and cold to our hot, INSTEAD of fixing it they swap the tubes on the back of the machine. Our garage door was purchased after Brian said that we were supposed to get it ourselves which was not apart of deal but okay Brian. He purchased a door that we didn't want, we wanted a door with some sort of window since he replaced a window with the door and there is no light coming in the garage anymore. On top of all this when they brought our washer and dryer up day one they DAMAGED OUR WASHING MACHINE. And I hadd to help Brian put the dryer up on the bracket since all his guys left by time it was ready. But that wouldn't be the only time I had to help. I had to help move it a total of 3 times because these idiots don't know what they're doing. Brian then tells my sister that these brand new machines were damaged before he touched him bs. There is definitely a reason why this company is called "affordable solutions". They do horrible work, pictures will be coming later where you can see what this ******* and his team calls great work.

    Modern Home Contractors Inc
Vince's crew was punctual, easy to work with, professional and kind. Their work product is very good. Because my husband and I were taking on some of the renovation scope ourselves, Vince was willing and able to work scheduling his crew around our efforts which can be very difficult if already juggling multiple jobs at other sites. He did it flawlessly; however, the owners must commit to staying on schedule so as to not adversely affect the contractor's schedule. The other caveat to a successful relationship is to ensure that the owners are capable of taking on work scope that a contractor would normally take on. Vince's crew didn't have to perform any rework caused by the owner's efforts. Modern Homes is a great company to work with whether they perform 100% of the scope or partial scope for the DIY owner. We highly recommend this company.

    Affordable Solutions by Brian
Brian responded quickly to our request, but was not on the job most of the time. His guys weren't professionall at all....left big messes, cigarette butts in our driveway, cardboard and plastic outside, and the jobs were just ok. When the light fixtures were installed, there were fingerprints and dust all over them, marks left on the ceiling and the celing fan was not centered. We addressed the issues with Brian and he listened and was supportive, but the same issues kept happening. He talked a lot and gave what seemed like excuses, but he did address the problem with his guys. We asked for additional quotes in our kitchen and never heard back. I guess I will be looking for a future handyman that stays on the job site.

His and Hers Fix Its, A Division of Reno-Build Services
Wow. Magic and Diane were great. First, they came on a Sunday in order to fit us in. Everything was done professionally and quickly. We started out with only three things to fix, but they did such a great job that we started adding items. I'm sure that they had better things to do on a Sunday, but were happy to complete everything in one visit.  They explained everything and kept us informed as to costs before starting all items.
They are our new "go to" people for jobs around the house.

    CNY Handyman Inc
They came when they said they would, were done just about when they said they would be, and did an excellent job. Butch took the lead on this project, and he is a perfectionist in the best way.  We had all walls replaced, toilet, tub, tile and two built-in cabinets installed.  They also were very patient with my crazy idea of putting a stained-glass, LED lighted faux window in the bath, which came out beautifully!  They work on an hourly basis, with the customer supplying materials, which I really appreciated since I wanted to design the space myself.  All told, we got an amazing new bathroom for just under 10,000.
I would hire them again in a heartbeat...this is one courteous, professional businessman, hat's off to Patrick and his team! I only wish I could post pics of the final job!  They said they would put some on their site, but I don't see them yet.

JB APPLIANCE REPAIR AND HOME SERVICES
John was able to respond to out home the afternoon after receiving our call, as he told us that he can handle. However, he did arrive at our home exactly when he said he would, assessed the work, and told us it would be no problem for him to do. He went to the store to purchase a part he did not have and what should have been a 20 minute process took an hour. He initially had his son with him and when returned from the store he no longer was with him so it can be assumed he took so long because he dropped his son somewhere. However, when he did arrive back to your house he worked efficiently and was done with the whole process within one hour. After completing the work he walked me through everything that he did and even offered to come back to assist my husband with a small alteration to the installation, if we chose to do it, free of charge.
John cleaned up after himself and when provided with the bill was happy to see that he charged for the work he did and not the time spent on the call. I found John to be courteous, professional, and kind and our new range works wonderfully.

    Krystal Jayne Systems, LLC
He's very nice, and he knew what he was doing. He's very knowledgeable, and he's got the job done. I guess he's okay on responsiveness, and punctuality. He was good. He came here when he was supposed to come here. Everything was fine. Professionalism was very good.

Patrick gave me the estimate himself. He kept me informed when the generator would be shipped as they were held up because of storm Sandy. He came promptly and called and kept me informed at all times. He was courteous and helpful. He made sure everything was correct and always left my property clean. He went above and beyond and helped me understand everything that was going on. I am very pleased with his service and would call him again for electrical work.
