Jay was the lead project manager/owner for my deck and patio expansion. His expertise and knowledge as a custom deck builder added tremendous value when it came to design, color and building material. All the crew members were very helpful and a pleasure to work with, especially when it came to accommodating my schedule. It made a difficult process feel more seamless. Thanks for the preliminary work and ability to hit the ground running. You made it possible to complete the project in four days. We love our new backyard!

    All Island Fence and Railings
Very unprofessional! I had the associate Michael come for the free estimate and to say that he was unprofessional is an understatement. He ended up having a tantrum in my front yard when another company came at the same time to give an estimate for other work (siding). They were NOT scheduled at the same time and I understand that Michael did come on time and the other gentleman (for a siding estimate) was late; however, he did not handle the situation appropriately at all. He began nastily blaming me for the "miss-scheduling" I explained that they were scheduled at separate times and then to my shock he began chastising the other gentleman and creating quite a scene. This is when I had to ask him to leave. It was terribly embarrassing to have a grown man in front of my home creating a ruckus! I called the company to report what had happened and I fully understand that he arrived on time, has other places to be, and my attention was split between both people coming to give estimates (although I did tell him exactly what I wanted) however he could have simply said that I would have to reschedule with the office and left. Michael chose instead to become loud and speak disrespectfully to me as well as the other people at the house. If he is the type of people All Island Fence and Railing employ; I would be VERY wary about letting them come to your home!

    All Pro Chimney Masonry
It went great .... very clean, very nice, very professional.
Gave free advice for 'cleaner' fires in the fireplace.
Asked him if we needed a new sleeve .... he told me typically, once one is installed, you almost NEVER need to replace them!!!  He would have an easy sale but he came out and told us the honest truth.
Plus, his office is very communicative.

    Pitti Brothers Masons
I couldn't be happier with the work the Pitti Brothers did! Joe Pitti came to my home to give me a quote (the only contractor to give me a quote in writing detailing all work to be done) He also gave me great ideas for how stoop should look decreasing from 7 steps I had to 5. The job started and completed exactly when they promised all for the quoted price and Steve Pitti was on site almost the entire time. The quality of work is excellent and has dramatically improved the overall curb appeal of our home! I would recommend the Pitti Brothers to anyone looking for masonry work on their home and will definitely use them again for any future needs!

    Williams fence company
It went well, the work crew arrived at 9 a.m. on the agreed upon date. The wotk was thorough and detailed, including the insertion into the roof of 8 steel posts used as support for the fencing. They were finished by about 4 p.m

    Rose Fence Company
We are very satisfied with their work. The salesman was very courteous and an absolute gentlemen. The office was fabulous in following up with us and even managed to squeeze us in ahead of schedule. They left my property in a neat and clean fashion after the project was done, and I am very happy with their professionalism and craftsmanship.

Rich & Tom's Ground To Chimney
Tom came to the house to give me an estimate. He is a great down to earth guy, and is very proud of the work he does.
When deciding between a few companies i selected Tom because he was very knowledgeable about his craft, was down to earth and easy going and priced fair. He is not the cheapest, and not the most expensive. But the quality you get with him is well worth the extra few $$.
The day came and Tom was right on time with all the materials needed to complete the job. The job was pretty straight forward, remove the brick chimney down to the roof line, and rebuild it as it was falling apart from years of neglect.
They quickly got to work with the tall ladders ( my roof line is high and steep ) and they did a great job. The even took pictures for me as I was not about to go up there. Way to high for me.
Tom takes pride in his work, and it shows. They did a great job, and went the extra mile. He installed a new cap as well.
I was happy that when he was all done, he took the hose all the way up to the roof, and hosed it all off. He cleans up after himself instead of leaving a mess like some other companies might do. His quality of work, and pride in his work make this a quality company i am happy to give the highest marks to. I will definitely recommend him, and use him again in the future.

This guy is an absolute crook, liar and thief.  Stay very far away! Ollie was doing work accoss the street from my house.  He came over and introduced himself. We talked about him powerwashing my house, patio and pool deck.  The project quickly grew into extending my exisitng deck, power washing the deck and staining the deck.   He also said he would clean my gutters and power wash and stain my gazebo.   I was very explicit that I wanted this done quickly and I wanted all garbage and old deck boards removed.  He agreed to all and provided a written agreement.  I paid him $800 that day even though he wanted more.
Two days later dropped off some material and power wahed the house and front bricks. He also came by the house at 8pm looking for more money, so we gave him another $400.  Next day  he started wripping up boards and bushes and lefr all the old wrotted boards and bushes in a pile in my yard. He left openings in the deck without replacing them.  He then wanted more money so I have him $300. A few days then went by before he came back and dropped off some material. He wanted more money and I have him $1000.  The guy he had working for two days was lazy and didnt do much.  On the second day he asked the intial carpenter to leave. The next carpenter was very good.
A few more days went by and when he came back he took down some of the railings and started to replace some boards.  Again requesting more money for material and labor I gave him $1000.  He then dropped off more material and had his new carpenter  come and work all mothers day.  I paid him an additional $1000.
The only trash he removed were the bushes he ripped out.  We had  a number of days of rain and blamed not coming for two weeks based on the rain.   All during this time he didnt answer his phone and rearly returned calls. For two more weeks I called him every day and every once in a while I would get a call back.
Final his pas week, on Monday dropped of the carpenter and didnt even come and talk to me.  Later that day he called the carpenter who does not drive and said he is having car problems, find your own way home.  I wound up driving him home and picking him up and dropping him off the next day as well.  All this time he would not take my calls or return my calls.
I have since found out his has still not paid the carpenter for those two days.  All this week the only calls I get are to say I will get back to you.  No plan on time table, supplies, or when someone will be back.
This weekend I moved on, puchased suuplies and got the carpenter to come back for two days.    i have spent a ove 1400 on materials from my own pocket.
i hope he comes back to remove the garbage and do some of the other items he agreed to but I dont know that I even trust him at this point.
So over a six weeks, into the project, that he said would take about two week.. I am not even close.
Please use someone else for your project.

    Artusa Contracting
The contractor agreed to put a special mortar type substance between the bricks, as I requested and as recommended by the brick manufacturer, but when it came time for him to do this, it became apparent that he had no experience at all working with this material. This resulted in him leaving excess material on the new patio which then stained the bricks when it rained that evening. After numerous messages on his phone, he returned with a power washer to clean the bricks. Not the best job at cleaning once they are stained. Also, the stoop he constructed is crooked. He acknowledged this when I brought it to his attention, but it is too late to do anything about it at this point. Also found it frustrating that he does not own a cell phone, making it difficult to contact him. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with this contractor, whom I hired based on the recommendations of others on this web site.
