  • In terms of customer service, they are very good - punctual, professional, pleasant, responsive to questions, attentive to the details such as schedule. Two quality complaints. They sprayed undercoating or something gray on the tire next to the damage - a shocking error it seems to me, completely preventable. And the very edge of the door has places with no paint on it. I plan to visit them to discuss these 2 issues. Would I go back? We'll see depending on how the discussion goes.

  • NEVER buy a warranty from. Salespeople totally misrepresented the warranty he sold us for $500. It wasn't until completing the lease that we learned the warranty was for something completely different. Salesman sold us a product he did not understand himself. Have several salespeople explain the samething to you over again. Record it. They do not stand behind salespeople.

  • I have gone to this shop before for normal care of my vehicle such as oil change and the occasional repair as it is in my neighborhood and my usual repair shop is a bit of a drive. I am currently in the process of selling my vehicle and the buyer asked to have it looked over by their mechanic being Band B before they purchase. Since I have been to this shop before and also recently had a check up done to my vehicle by my normal repair shop within the last couple months I didn't hesitate to oblige and take it to them to look over.

So, Lee Buckman looked over my vehicle for the potential buyer. He came back 30 minutes later to say that there was a power steering leak and I needed the whole rack replaced. He even took me to the car to show me the residue on the rack. He then quoted $900+ for the repair. Knowing that I hadn't had any issues, I then took my vehicle to my trusted mechanic for a second opinion to find out that I had no leak at all. The residue that Lee had shown me was oil that had dripped from my filter during an oil change. There was absolutely nothing leaking from my vehicle. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend going to this repair shop unless you would like to be taken advantage of.

  • Sean takes care of me EXTREMELY well!!!  After purchasing "lifetime replacement" for the tires, I had a very bad experience frm another KOST across from Marketplace Mall, they did not hnr the purchase when I had to replace a flat tire.  I went  back to Sean in Irondequoit and he made sure I was taken care of and honored the "lifetime replacement".
I WILL NEVER GO AN'YWHERE ELSE!!  They ALWAYS take god care of me in a professional manner and are extremely well-versed in customer service - something very hard to find these days.
Stop in and let them convince you.

  • Superb!!!  From the phone call to the shop to set up the appointment, to the day of the work and through the service of the car I finally didn't feel talked down to or not informed because of my gender.  The most I've felt since the days where I would go to a shop with my dad or granddad where the mechanic would shake your hand, offer you a coffee/soda and if you wanted to be involved in the repair/maintenance process you were.  Prices were fair and reasonable.  Waiting Area was under construction but comfortable/informal and for a Friday morning it was quite busy with customers, new and old.  No wonder the business has been around since 1958!

  • He is the most honest mechanic I have ever met in my life. He will fix me right in. He will tell me to drop it off and he will do it the next day. I don’t like a dealer where I have to wait 2 or 3 days. Even on a major work, he is always fast. He is very, very fast. I didn’t spend that much on the oil change. When he was closed I went to the other car wash place and there were $34 to get the car washed. I never had to bring the car back after repair. I had to drive my mini cooper to Buffalo because they didn’t have the dealer here when I bought that car. I was supposed to go to Buffalo twice for a tire leak. I took it to Sparky's. He took it right off the rim and put a plug in it. He did everything. The price is very reasonable. Most of the time he would take me right in. He will bring it later on and drop it off. He always call me. He will call me twice if he runs into something. He will call me first. He’s good.

  • I walked in last month to have the battery changed on my remote for my 2001 Solara. I was greeted nicely but told her that I was going to the parts department. You have to go though the sales area to get to the parts desk. On the way out I noticed the 2013 Avalon in the showroom. I was impressed and asked for more information as was treated well.
I went back a week later after doing my homework and a test drive at another dealer with a price. As I was walking in a salesman approached me in what I thought was a grabby gesture. I said no thanks and went in and was greeted by the receptionist. I told her that I knew what I wanted and to appoint me a salesperson. The salesperson assigned to me was pretty much clueless about the car. I did not care. I told him what I wanted and that I was a repeat customer and to give me their best price. The price was right. So we moved on with some questions about the options.
I  told him I was paying cash so the nightmare about financing was not in play. After they gave me a great price on the car, it was a deal. As I was waiting for God knows what, is when he came back with the corrosion not covered and then to the finance officer, remember, I am paying cash. It was just a sales pitch for Zebart. Are you kidding me.
A month latter my car came in. While closing the sale, I felt that my salesman was more interested in his customer review than customer satisfaction. He repeatedly told me that if I answered anything but a 10 on the review it would be a negative review on him. I know times are hard, but please, do not insult my intelligent's.
My opinion is that is that if you can get beyond the BS, You can get a great car at at a great price. Don't let them push you around.

  • I own a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu that I purchased new from another local dealer.  My key fob no longer worked so I purchased a new one online and needed a local dealership to program it for my vehicle.  I called the dealership where I purchased my car and the cost was quoted as $47.50.  I called Hoselton and they said I could come in when convenient, though afternoon would be less busy, and there would be no charge.  I arrived at Hoselton in the afternoon and they immediately started working on programming the key fob.  The service representative was polite and the service was done very quickly and at no charge.  There aren't may services that you receive in regards to auto repair that are no charge especially when the vehicle was purchased elsewhere.

  • I needed tires and to have my brakes looked at since my car was pulsating when I stopped.  The place I normally use to go was booked and unable to fit me in.  I found Maintenance Auto with an online search.  I called,  and the owner said I could bring it in anytime.  When I arrived I was greeted by the owner.  He started work on my car in a very prompt manner.  We discussed options and pricing for new tires with him giving several options for price and quality.  When I decided on the tires I wanted he ordered them and started looking at my brakes.  As it turned out one of the back brakes were frozen and not working and my front brakes had issues as well which was causing the pulsating.  After a complete discussion of my options he let me decide how much I wanted to get done that day while assuring me my car would be safe when he was done.  I appriciated the fact I was given options and not just told what had to be done. The owner does almost all the work himself and has over 20 years experience.  I felt no pressure to buy to for any purchase that I made and felt I had involvement in every decision made.  I will be returning to Maintenance Auto for all my future work.
