    Solo Construction Company
Solo construction was excellent to work with. The team paid extra attention to the details of construction to produce a high quality finished house. We were very happy thoughout the entire process. Randall was honest and dedicated to the design. I would highly recommend Solo construction.

    Grant Heating & Cooling
I'm very satisfied with them. They do good work. They do an excellent job. I have no basis to grade price. I am content with their pricing. There's been a long history. The founder of the company is no longer around. He either died or moved into retirement. He installed my air conditioning system. His family continues to operate the place. That's the history and how I originally got him, I don't even know anymore. I've been with them for quite a while.

Had them service and clean my hot water heater in October 2015 and ever since, there's been one problem after another; hot water heater, which was only 2 year's old decided to empty all of it's 50 gallons of hot steaming water into basement, never happened before, even with old hot water heater that lasted 14 years; technician couldn't figure it out and they blamed Suffolk County Water Authority.

Furnace also is not working properly and will not turn on when thermostat is adjusted, again this never occurred before the October 2015 service; technician showed up but could not figure it out and of course started immediately denying any responsibility on the part of Schenck, rather than apologizing and attempting to fix the problem.

They have often screwed things up in accounting and it's taken many phone calls to resolve that.

They made a fuel delivery that was not requested when I'm on call and not automatic delivery and then charged me a penalty for a delivery to a tank that was too full; again, that required multiple calls to fix.

Finally spoke with Greg today who was extremely nasty and not at all apologetic although he agreed to refund my service contract fee, I'm sure this too will take endless phone calls and no doubt will require a lawsuit to accomplish.

STAY AWAY from this company.  They are apparently too large and simply don't care enough about customer satisfaction.

purchased home where schenck provided service for previous owners.  we were told that we could resume service with schenck.  when were without oil when we first moved in and got to the house so we called schenck - we were so rudely dismissed and told that if we did not have a contract (even though previous owners did), they would not even come out to the house. what!?!?  absolutely ridiculous!! how can you do business like that!?!  everyone we have spoken to, says they avoid schenck at all costs - we will as well.  we have found MANY companies that actually want our business.

    Paraco Gas
I called Paraco  to find out why I had not received a bill .   The call was taken by one of the best customer service representatives I have had the pleasure of dealing with.   I think this was the second time I have spoken with her.   Last year I needed some help and Ashley took care of  the matter quickly, fairly, and expertly.

This time I wanted to also have the bill automatically be paid by a creidt card.  She took the payment and forwarded  the information.

    JRB Heating & Cooling LLC
They did an okay job. The scheduling process was good and they showed up on time. We needed a thermostat so there were additional fees for that. They didn't check out the radiators in each room which I thought was a part of a furnace checkup. Everything is working excellently though.

Hardy Plumbing installed a ductless heating unit in our sunroom last year and were very pleased with their work.  We received a very good price for the oil burner.  Joe Hardy made the initial visit and throughout the job was very responsive to my many questions and concerns.
There was one glitch over the weekend when we did not have hot water but a mechanic was sent from another job and remedied the problem.
The workers were very professional and courteous.

I got three estimates for a complete replacement of my failing York HVAC system: two local, one mid-island. Typically, going up-island for an estimate pays off when you live in East Hampton, NY, but not "south of the highway" on the ocean where money is often no object.
Bill Sallee answered all my questions. Everything went smoothly. His men were in an out in a day.
For the first time this winter, the house is toasty and I'm not burning out breakers in an effort to get the temperature over 58 degrees.

I  called 3 times and spoke with a lovely woman who each time took my info and said someone would get back to me. After 3 weeks of trying to get a call back, I moved on. As I was calling for a mid sized job I am astonished at the lack of responsiveness of this company.
