I cannot say enough good things from start to finish about working with the guys at Atlantic States. Brian worked closely with us giving us different layouts and designs until we chose what was the best fit for the design and budget we had in mind. Extremely prompt with email replies and he really went above and beyond to answer all my questions and change/modify the design for me. I cant say enough nice things about all the guys we worked with there, Brian, Jimmy and Justin. An absolutely great family run company, that is truly all about their customers. We were always met with honesty and such an eager willingness to help. Something you don't find much of these days. I highly highly recommended Atlantic States to anyone looking to do a kitchen remodel!

He had an appointment with us to be here at 8:00 am. We had rescheduled our lives to make that appointment. I received an email saying that he was running late and he would be showing up around 9:00. He said to call him if there were any issues and he didn't even supply a telephone number to reach him. I contacted Angie's List for his contact information and after reaching him he was very argumentative on the phone. I would not recommend him as this experience was very unsatisfactory.

    Bischoff Remodeling Inc
Brad Bischoff and his team were excellent!!  His team members consisted of himself, Bill, Eric and Jeremy - all outstanding and personable as well.  They always arrived on time and got a considerable amount of work done each day.  They demo'd our existing unfinished basement and then finished it top to bottom, along with adding a half bath.  Their craftsmanship is top notch and the work was completed earlier than expected - less than 3 weeks!  All aspects of work including electrical, plumbing, building and finishing were done beautifully.  Brad was easy to contact and very responsive.  His price was fair and better than other estimates we received.  We would use Brad and his team again in a heartbeat!  No complaints here!!!!

ABSOLUTELY awesome.  Projects were right on time, work was meticulous and clean up was done as they went along.  Can't wait to have Greg and his son come back in a few weeks to redo our screen porch!

    Dymling & McAvoy Inc
We are very pleased with the project. We now have a wonderful living area, a gorgeous kitchen and new bathrooms. The only regret we have is that we waited so long. Dymling & McAvoy and their crew were excellent. The crew was professional, neat and respectful. Yes, it was quite trying when you have to use a spare kitchen and resort to TV dinners and pizza most of the time. Perhaps not for the kids...We feel that we have a total new take on life and how we socialize with family and friends. Awesome!
We did not have the vision or the" know how", how to transform the space and visualize it. This company held our hands and helped us see what could be possible and guided us through the construction. It was worth every penny spent. We suggest if you are going to do a major renovation, spend the extra money on good design and planning, have your budget ready, know what you can spend and definitely set aside more funds for the things you cannot be without that you did not know existed!!

He was very professional and did a very good job.  He spent a good
amount of time measuring the kitchen and explaining various options.  I
was happy with the work he did today.

    V & S Tile LLC & Bathroom Remodeling Co
He had a crew of four.  They were all cheerful and respectful, protecting the stairs with tarps.  They worked tirelessly all day from very early to after 8 PM on the first day, and were back first thing in the AM the next day.  So tiling and grouting basically took two days to complete, and the result is great.  The wall tile is white subway and it is impeccable.  The floor is old-fashioned black and white tiles in a design, so it came in 1 foot sheets.  They pieced them together seamlessly and with black grout it just is beautiful.  Cleaned up after themselves.  Highly recommend these guys.

I was extremely impressed with Allen and the work he did. We just bought a house and the downstairs half bath was a mess. The tile was peeling, sink was ugly, toilet was leaking and the bathroom had this horrific musty smell to it. Overall it was a mess. We wanted to put new tile down, get a pedestal sink and a new toilet. Nothing major but enough to actually make the bathroom presentable. Based on other reviews I was expecting to pay a lot more for the labor (the toilet and sink we bought at Lowes). Because of his popularity he was booked into October (we were willing to wait) but he actually had a spot open up in July so we decided to take it. There was probably a month before when we got the estimate and before he began work and I had occasional questions, which he was very quick to respond to. My husband and I work during the day so we basically had to leave a key under the mat and our communication was either by text or the occasional phone call and it worked.
The work was supposed to be for two days but some unforseen circumstances occured and it had to be extended to four days. There seemed to be about six layers of various tile that were put on top of each other throughout various owners of the house. Also, the toilet we got didn't fit because of the heater in the bathroom but Allen worked around these issues (including exchanging the toilet for us at Lowes, which was fantastic). We also had a leak in the old toilet, which he fixed.
I don't think I have ever been more impressed with a company. I am the type of person who will give someone a compliment if they do a good job or ask to speak with management if they do a bad job and I am overall impressed. If we ever have more bathroom work to do we will definitely call Bath Remodel Pro in a heartbeat.

    Empire State Plumbing Inc

Although there was some initial delay in getting a printed formal contract (unreturned phone calls, incorrect contract was emailed), the actual work completed went well. They arrived on time and began work immediately. I was responsible for the demo of the previous shower and all associated carpentry work to frame for the new tub but they assisted in laying the piece of subfloor that needed to be fit around the new drain that they installed. The work involved cutting a hole in my living room ceiling to access the drain because there was no other access panel. Although I knew this was likely, I don't believe Tom even mentioned it during the estimate process. They located the water shut off valves without any trouble and were able to turn them off even though the handle was previously broken off. Both were very pleasant and professional and willing to answer the many questions that I had about the work being done. The job took approximately 6 hours to complete from start to finish. Unfortunately, the drain to the tub does not work because the drain lever isn't long enough (fault of the drain manufacturer/depth of the tub - not the plumber) but this wasn't discovered until the very end of the job when it was too late to do anything about.

Update: (10/08/2012) It has been approximately 4.5 months since the work was completed and the caulk that was installed has failed and caused a water leak along the edge of the tub onto the drywall (see attached pictures). This should never have happened if the caulk was installed properly. In addition, I have spoken to several people (including those in the field) who have all advised the drain lever issue as described in the initial review (not long enough) should have been addressed at the time it was installed. They all advised that an experienced plumber would have known how to fix the problem (attaching a small turnbuckle to extend the length which I learned by calling the manufacturer). Due to these problems, I can no longer recommend Empire Plumbing and will not use them again in the future.

    Millbrook Custom Kitchens
They are a local company. They have been around since at least the 1960's. They were very cooperative throughout the project. They gave me a lot of information about my choices. They even did some cabinet work that they did not charge me for. I would call them back in the future.
