    Imperial Appliance Repair Inc
Washer was making noise dryer stopped spinning. Washer motor is going, instead of stringing me along for repairs, they were honest and told me I was better off replacing the entire washer. I agree Dryer was a fixable problem, repaired for minimal hours and parts, parts were reasonable and not overpriced. Best part, approachable, friendly, answered all my questions, if I have a problem I will use them again. Thanks!!

    Steve's Appliance Repair
I called Steve Saturday morning and he was able to come by in the afternoon. It turned out it was a very simple repair - but I hadn't caught it and he was able to fix the problem quickly. He also inspected the compressor. I appreciated his promptness and professional manner. Cost was appropriate for a same day house call by a professional. 4 days later the fridge is working fine.

    AV Appliance Service
My stove valve wasn't working, one ended up working and one didn't. After that there was an issue with the oven and no light comes on and it doesn't work. Hes had to come back time and time again and I called him today to come back and he told me he was out of state. He told me he will be back Tuesday but every time he comes out he finds something else is wrong and then gives me the run around. Robert is who I've been working with.

I can't say enough good things about Richard, his expertise, professionalism, knowledge, punctuality and friendliness. I also felt his pricing was very fair for all that he did. He ran multiple laundry cycles with appropriate bleaching to remove all bacteria. I highly recommend him to others.

Hassan and his helper did a great job by running new water and gas lines for my new washing machine and dryer , they run the lines from the basement to the first floor and they secure the pipes by adding some hangers and straps for the pipes. they cleaned the job and sweep the floors .

    Lightning Appliance Service
Tri-State made the effort to send a technician the same day I called, which was unexpected and much appreciated. Keury, the technician, was very knowledgable and friendly but most importantly, he spent a lot of time making and testing adjustments to a very old unit which is essentially not repairable. Since replacement parts (such as a new thermostat) are not available, he cleaned out the the gas lines and made adjustments which transformed this antique oven from not useful to reasonably functional.

On Saturday, November 19, 2011, Visual sent a technician to my house to repair my 46-inch Samsung Flatscreen HD LCD TV.  From the moment this person entered my home he was disrespectful to my property.  First of all he proceeded to turn my TV around to get to the back all by himself.  This is a job that requires two people because of the size and delicate nature of the TV.  I was in the room right in back of him and he could have asked for assistance (or an apprentice should have been sent with him).  Instead he clumsily took the TV and spun it around, in the process, knocking the edges of the TV into the surround sound speakers, and, because he could not hold the TV in the air the entire time, causing significant scratching on my Bo Concept TV console (this may have occurred multiple times as he turned the TV around more than once while I was outside - I left to take my dog outside so as not to bother the technician).  On the multiple times I came inside to check up on him, I saw the technician treating my TV very roughly.  Touching the screen roughly, saying that it was broken, banging the back, etc.  I did not notice the horrible scratches on the console until he left...and boy let me tell you he was in a hurry to leave.  He would not answer any of my questions, he just ran out and left me with a non-working TV and said the they (I guess Best Buy, who's warranty I was under) would have to send me a new (replacement) TV.  In the meantime, he had strategically placed the base of the TV on one of the most prominent of the scratches, so as to blend in with some dust,  However, the scratch was clearly showing through along with multiple smaller scratches from his rough handling of the base.

Not only did he damage my console but I think he further damaged my TV.  Before he came, my TV was picture perfect once it turned on.  The only problem was that it took a long time to come on - what many have told me was just a powering issue.  I do not know what this tech did to cause further need for repair.  I subsequently received the utmost quality care from another repair company that Best Buy sent over to finally get the job done.

Returning to the technician, this man was so unprofessional.  He even had the audacity to call me after the incident and accuse me of making the scratches; speaking to me in a tone not appropriate for a client, nor any human being.  I guarantee you this is going to happen to another person.  He has no regard for personal property.  I contacted Visual TV several times expecting full compensation for the damage he caused, and after one conversation I never heard from Visual TV again.  I have sent emails and plenty of pictures of the damage (multiple times) and called several times as well.  No response.  I am being ignored.

My Bo Concept console was very expensive and custom made with self-closing drawers and high-luster finishing in the front.  Not just a "black stand" like the tech reported back to Visual (after the damage was caused).

I take pristine care of my furniture and am reminded daily, as I look at the scratches, of the complete disregard for my property by the tech.  Ultimately I want them to cover the cost to the console so that I can finally put this horrible experience to bed after all this time.  I am going to take them to small claims court shortly and have reported them to the Better Business Bureau.

My advice...STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

    Eddie's Modern Appliance Service
I called Eddie to repair my refrigerator/freezer  which lost its cooling ability in the refrigerator section. Although I was located beyond his service area, he was willing to come the next day to give an estimate. Wile on the phone, Eddie came up with an idea of what he thought the problem was. He said that the refrigerator gets cooled by cold air from the freezer. The tube that delivers cold air can "ice over" and get  clogged. He suggested that I defrost the refrigerator and that might solve the problem. I followed his directions and the problem was solved. No service call was necessary.

Obviously I was very pleased and impressed by Eddie's willingness to help even though he might not get a repair job out of it. If I needed a repair in the future that necessitated a visit, he'd be the first person I'd call.

    Steve's Appliance Repair
Do you find yourself muttering, "It's hard to get good service nowadays?" I've noticed that I have been saying that a lot lately and just when I was about to give up on finding someone to fix our washer, I turned to Angie's List where I found Steve. What a difference a phone call makes. From the very first contact, Steve was very friendly and eager to come out and take a look at our problem. Because my schedule was a bit erratic (and because of past experiences with other repair shops), I was starting to think that I would never find someone willing to accommodate me. But when it comes to Steve, accommodation is everything and after a couple of phone calls, we had both arrived on a date and time for the estimate. He's a busy man, but was very honest from the start about prior commitments. He never gave me the "I'll come between noon and six in the evening" routine. After we both arrived on a date and time, that was it. He showed up and expertly assessed and finished the job perfectly.
