DAVANTI MANSIONThe "planning" services were very bad. The staff promised you everything to get a (non-refundable) deposit, and then as soon as they had it, they stopped returning my calls. We heard every excuse in the book, someone's Grandmother died, they never got our messages, the secratary lost them, etc. It took them 2 months to get us a quote for food and alcohol that was $10,000.00 over our discussed budget. We finally got a meeting with the planning staff (after they didn't show up to the first one), and worked the menu and price down. To their credit, the day of the wedding was very impressive, good service, nice presentation, good quality food (the planning staff was not involved). DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE A LOT OF TIME TO BABYSIT THIS VENDOR.- Molly G.

ASIGNATURE EVENTSAndrea met with the bride and groom a few weeks before the wedding and discussed their wishes for the wedding day. There were several phone conversations, too. Andrea came to the rehearsal at the venue the evening before the wedding and explained to the wedding party and family members how the bride and groom would like the ceremony to proceed. We ran through the ceremony a few times to be sure everyone was comfortable with the plan. Pre-ceremony, Andrea made sure the favors were distributed on the tables, helped to set up the cake table and place cards, and kept everyone confident with her calmness. She made sure that any flowers that were delivered to the venue were placed at the correct locations, including giving any boutonni res and corsages to the right people. The day of the wedding, Andrea and her assistant(can't remember her name, but she was terrific, too)led the guests to the correct location, explained to them what to expect and gave the wedding party members their cues. The ceremony went flawlessly. During the reception, we were VERY glad Andrea was there. Guests who had not responded showed up. Instead of any of us panicking, I asked Andrea to deal with it. She found the banquet manager, who arranged seating and everything was handled calmly and in an organized manner. Just knowing that Andrea was there was a relief. We felt that we could count on her to handle any snags, and we were right.- Mary Beth S.
