  Kaz Companies Inc

  Kaz isn't cheap, but they are reliable and professional, they do high-quality work, and they stand behind it. If they do charge more, you are getting something of value with the added cost. We looked at a lot of contractors before settling on Kaz. We almost went with another, who was encouraging us to do work that in retrospect really was a bad idea (moving an exterior wall to make the kitchen bigger). The Kaz designer said that would not be prudent, describing how much extra work it would involve; she showed us how the kitchen space we have is plenty, with the right design. Instead she helped us with really useful remodeling ideas, such taking a bit of garage space to make a mud room (that has worked out extremely well). She displayed great competence in her arguments and her understanding of the mechanics behind all the options, and in fact our meeting with her is what sold us on the company. We didn't interact with her much after that, but fortunately everyone else we dealt with met the same standard that she had set. The designer we met with in their store led us through all the choices of fixtures, tile, etc., and we���re happy with the selections we made with her help. Once the work started, the project took about 12 weeks in all, and extended over both Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. There was a base crew of two, with others helping on and off with special tasks such as drywall, electrical, plumbing, tile. Everyone was courteous and professional. The work continued pretty much without interruption (other than a bit off for the holidays) until it was completed. They accommodated big and small changes as the project proceeded (e.g., changing placement of shower head). If the changes meant more work, they would charge for it, but these costs were clearly laid out in writing up front; there were no surprise charges at any point. They continued to give advice that seemed impartial, sometimes recommending against ideas that would have led to additional charges. There were a few glitches along the way, which I think are to be expected for a project of this scope. I have no complaints about how they were handled. Afterward, some grout in the shower-floor tile kept coming out. A Kaz guy returned several times to fix it, trying more aggressive steps each time. In all, it took several weeks with various attempted fixes to finally get it good. Through all this, they responded promptly each time I reported the problem, and they never charged me for any of it. The point here is that they stood behind their work. As part of this job, I also had them replace two skylights that had leaked every winter since they were replaced when I had a roofing job done a few years before, by another company. That company was utterly unable to make them stop leaking, and eventually flat out said that skylights just do that and I shouldn���t expect otherwise. The new skylights installed by Kaz have never leaked since they did the replacement. Several years have passed since all this work was done, and it's holding up extremely well (including that shower tile). We love the design and the decisions we made, particularly going with Kaz for this project.

  DALEX ROOFING

  About a week or so ago I found a leak in my garage roof. I called Dalex Roofing, a company on Eggert Rd. in Buffalo. They had been here a couple of years ago for a free roof inspection offered in the media. They found nothing wrong back then. This time, they again returned my call promptly, sent out Dimitriy, their roofing consultant, inspected the roof, and found nothing obviously wrong. After a detailed explanation of what he looked at, he said it was probably a one-time thing with the high winds and heavy rain last week slightly lifting up a shingle . He was polite and knowledgeable, as he was last time, and he said there was no charge for the call! Wow! Needless to say, Dalex is the roofing company I will always call for future repairs or replacement, and will recommend to friends. BTW, they have an excellent rating with the BBB and on Angie's list. Well deserved, I would say!

His work crew even finished installation of the heated cables on a snow-covered roof, without complaint, and raked up the leaves they removed before leaving. Very happy with the work.

  We had a leak in our roof after a heavy rain. We called Switala Berner Construction the next morning and they were out to us first thing! They repaired the roof leak and we had no more water leaking in. They were very reasonably priced and only charged $50 plus tax for the emergency visit. Would highly recommend them!!

  I called to get an estimate on a leaking roof. Keith asked me if I had gotten any other estimates at that time. I had said no. When the guys came out to check my roof they told me the wood was spongy that it needed to be replaced there was mold and a lot of other things were wrong I needed ice and water flashing and two other types of flashing. It was a huge laundry list of issues. They men said it would take 2 guys between 2-4 hours to fix the problems. The next day Keith called me with an estimate. He said I would usually charge $1100 but I know money is tight for you so we can do it for $900 if I did it today. I told him I only had $750 in the bank and he said if I pay him cash he would accept it. Wink wink you know how small businesses work. This was at 9am. He said the men would be at my house in about an hour/ hour and a half. I told him I was leaving and would be back in an hour. . 30 minutes later they called to say they were there. I got home 45 minutes later to see 2 men leaning against their truck. They said they were done. There was no signs of anything that had been done. He told me the wood didn���t need to be replaced. It wasn���t spongy and the work order didn���t say anything about cleaning the mold away. I called Keith very upset. He talk to the men and they took pictures. The pictures didn���t show me that any work had been done. They were just pics of my roof and one spot of the old siding. And the man took 2 videos of my dogs. That really made me upset. I said that it was suppose to take 2-4 hours. The man lied to me about when they got to my house and said they got there before the call came in. I said I was home right before then and he backed down on that lie. But said it didn���t take as long because there were 2 of them. But I was told 2 men 2-4 hours. I asked for a receipts and he gave me a copy of the work order I had to run back to their truck and get them to write on it that I actually paid them They are a very shady company and I don���t believe the other 11 ���A��� reviews. They were very unprofessional and extremely dishonest

  Seibold Construction Inc. // Leak Master

  I don't very much like contractors because most of them are good "salespeople" but not so great on delivery. However, Mike Seibold is a true professional. Right from the work estimate preparation where he actually obtained satellite data to prepare an estimate for roof replacement in my home to explaining the work involved and the process to me, and then executing the roof replacement project, it was all done in a professional and respectful manner. Mike's estimate was not the lowest, in fact it was near the top of the four or five estimates I had obtained. However, I awarded the job to Seibold Construction because of the way Mike dealt with me during the selling process. I was very pleased with the timeliness and quality or work performed. Mike was there with his crew each day of the work, and just like Mike all his crew members were also professional and respectful. They finished the work on time and cleaned up my home before leaving. I am very satisfied with the entire work and the process of getting it done. I will definitely recommend Seibold and Mike to any homeowner for their roofing and related needs.

They came and filled us in on additional "issues" they found while conducting the estimate. On top of cleaning the gutters they also trimmed a tree we have with branches hanging over the house.
