    A+ Contractors of WNY LLC
Excellent job from start to finish.....proposal/quote to final payment. Due to the large number of homes damaged during the harsh Buffalo winter, many contractors were backlogged and unwilling to even quote on a smaller job like ours. For those that did, none would make a start date commitment....only willing to fit it in between their larger remodeling jobs.
A+ contractors provided a very competitive rate, showed up on the start date promised to begin work, were punctual throughout the process, their quality of workmanship was excellent, and they were very professional, treating our home with great respect by covering floors, walls, furniture, etc. to protect from damage during work and then cleaning/vacuuming/placing items back in proper place when they were one.  We really couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Toly and Alex did a great job communicating with us during the entire job. These two clearly have a lot of experience in all areas of home repair/remodel and it shows in the quality and finish of final their work product.
We would/will rehire A+ Contractors for jobs, small and large around our house and would/will highly recommend them to others.

The sales people in the showroom were very helpful with choosing a tile.  While I was looking the sales girl sorted thru other displays looking for tiles I might be interested in.  I do believe I chose a tile picked by her.  It goes perfectly with the wall tile. Two men did the installation.  They removed the toilet and laid the tile the first day and grouted and put back the toilet  the next.  They cleaned up after themselves well.  There were no issues at all.  Everything went smoothly.

    Gilbert Design Build

I am a single snow bird and own a small condo in Florida. To accommodate guests I wanted to replace the tub with a walk-in shower for safety purposes. Not knowing anyone in the area, I visited a home show where I asked a lot of questions. Rather than a sales pitch the crew from DreamMaker asked me questions and offered to come to the condo and evaluate the issues. Before they arrived I checked Angie?s List and found great reviews.

They arrived when scheduled, listened some more, measured and took pictures of the bathroom and other rooms so that they would better understand my living and decorating style.

The following week I went to their showroom to have a design consultation and review the possibilities, select fixtures and other materials. Once we agreed on the final project and went to contract everything was submitted to the building department for a permit.

I left Florida and went up north for the summer and never felt concern for the people or work being done in my absence. DreamMaker kept me informed during the entire process with phone calls and pictures.

Upon my return, the bathroom was spotless, nicer than expected and made the other bath look really dated. In fact it was so nice that I immediately asked that they repeat the process in the master bath. Ernest began measuring, taking pictures and offering suggestions. With my budget in mind, the design team figured out how to enlarge the shower, reposition a sliding door, create matching furniture and get ceiling lights.

As I handed over my final payment there were no surprise charges.

I was so eager for my bathroom to come to life, that I told them at the last decision meeting ? ?I?m sorry that I don?t have another bathroom to remodel.

The process and the results have been fun.

    PCJ General Contracting
We were very impressed with Pete and his crew. I'm only sorry it took me so long to write a review to tell you about the amazing job they did for us!
My mom moved into our basement after my dad passed away, but we didn't have a bathroom or kitchen, and in order for her to feel independent and have her own fully-functioning apartment, we needed a bathroom and kitchen in the basement. Pete and his guys were fantastic! They had to create something out of nothing. They had to add plumbing, work with existing crappy electric and do cabinets, floors, the whole nine yards!
I have a really big, scary-looking dog, and they had to tolerate her while they were working. She usually loves you once she gets to know you, but she didn't much love the in and out while they carried things through the house, down to the basement. They always took care to pet her and talk to her. One of the guys even nicknamed her "Cuddles" (she's an 80-pound Cane Corso, so she doesn't look very cuddly, but he knew her demeanor was different from her scary appearance).
I can't say everything went perfectly, because it didn't. When you're doing a project this size, there will be issues that pop up here and there. What I have to say is, the way these little things were handled were very professional and in a timely manner. I only had to call Pete twice that I can remember, and both times he had someone out here very quickly. Another time, there was an issue with water leaking in my basement. That wasn't Pete's fault, but he came out immediately anyway and cleaned it up for me. He didn't have to do that, but he did and I remain impressed to this day that he did!

We purchased Smart Strand by Karastan. The crew came when they said they would. After removal of the old carpet, they let me vacuum and wipe the base boards before installing the new carpet. They worked quickly and efficiently and were pleasant to deal with. So far, we're very pleased with the results. Hope this carpet lasts longer than the previous one, which was only 6 years old.

    Darren Campbell
Darren called several days ahead of time to verify the timing and the exact work that needed to be done regarding the flooring. He also picked up the flooring tiles at Pro Source (a very reasonable and professional establishment in Cheektowaga) when it arrived from the central warehouse. He and his assistant, David, were very prompt and once again had a brief consultation with me regarding all work that needed to be accomplished. He was very pleasant and knew anything and everything about installing floors. Their work was very methodical, neat, and the overall job was the best ever. On thing I noted was that they both worked together extremely well. They were very accommodating by helping with using sliders propelled by air flow. I mention this due to the fact that I have had other experiences (especially big companies) in which things were at times tense. But, I felt so comfortable with these two in everything they did and said. In summation, I highly recommend Darren Campbell to anyone who wants any type of flooring installed in their house or company. The cleanup was immaculate, especially after the grouting job they did. Darren furthermore left the remaining grout with me in case I needed to touch up where air bubbles might arise (this is normal with grouting). May I add that he even returned the fiollowing week to make sure all was well. He personally took more grouting to touch up areas he felt needed it. These guys are the best and so professional!

Painting & Handyman - Small Restore LLC
I have asked Ilya to take care of two outside projects before the most recent subflooring installation.  They have repaired rotting wood around chimney (roof level) using R-111 siding....repaired flashing as well....painted the new siding and trim.  They have also leveled the deck around out hot tub by installing 6 supports under the floor....
We have lined them up to repair a number of other interior projects including the painting of a our 20x40 great room and may use them to paint the exterior next spring.
My wife and I have been very pleased with their work, pricing, and professionalism.  We are also considering using Small Restore to repair and refinish 6 dining chairs as well.
    I would recommend them highly.

Two installers came and removed all of the furniture, which included taking apart a king-size bed. They were very patient when I interrupted their work to wipe down the baseboards and, later, to dust the bedframe and slats before putting the box spring mattress back on.

    Advantage Hardwood Floors
Advantage spent three days on the job.  They removed old carpeting one day, put in the hardwood and stained it the next day, and put on a second coat the final day.
There was a minimum of dust or odor.  They cleaned up impeccably.
Exceptional quality and service.  The work was completed as promised.  The follow-up was outstanding.  The price was fair, especially for the attention to detail.  The floors look great!

    Carpet Factory Outlet
From the beginning to the end, Mariann was on top of the project. Even when it turned out we didn't have enough laminate, all I had to do was wait for a further order. She took care of coordinating delivery and the return of the crew to install it. The crews she engaged for the three steps (vinyl, laminate, carpeting) were considerate, knowledgeable and industrious, getting their respective jobs done on time. She apologized for the inconvenience (and didn't charge me anything more), and offered to work with me on the future purchase of an area carpet in that room, when I am ready.
The kitchen floor was the most difficult, owing to wooden sills that were flush with the linoleum. This meant that, upon removal of the existing linoleum, the layer underneath had to be scraped off the floorboard. This involved using power tools which kicked up a powerful amount of dust. The cleanup took me three days, as there was a coating of this dust on absoluvely everything in the kitchen, and a dusting of in adjacent rooms as well. I washed down everything, including boxes of pasta and bottles of spices in my pantries, and vacuumed the walls. It prompted me to finish painting the pantry interios, which had to be emptied (the only reason I didn't paint them with the rest of the kitchen earlier this year!), and this kind of propelled me into spring cleaning the likes of which the house hasn't seen in years. Not a bad thing, really. So glad I started with the kitchen, in retrospect, since I would otherwise have been mopping and vacuuming new laminate and carpet in adjacent rooms!
Overall, I was extremely pleased with her help, and am very happy with the result. I felt their pricing was lower than the competition I perused - which included Home Depot, Lumber Liquidators and Custom Carpet Center. [As an aside, I paid $35 to have HD measure my floors, as they had a Pergo laminate I was certain I wanted, which I mentioned to the woman who set up the measure. When I got the quote call, they couldn't give me a price, because the laminate was DISCONTINUED!! So, I basically threw $35 away. I cancelled the quote at the store, explaining that the material I wanted was no longer available, and they didn't offer to return my fee. Not happy about that. After all that,I wasn't about to have them install carpeting at a cost that included a $9 per stair charge - !! ]
