AFix It For LessCalled Patch PPA (Fix It For Less) left message. He returned the call next day(yar). Explained we had 2 rental mobile home that needed repairs.He came and gave us price was here when he said worked until jobs were finished. Did excellent work. AWindow Works WaresChristine has a fabulous eye for coordinating fabrics to fit the exiting style and furniture in the living room. She also has the insight to quickly determine the style that would be appropriate for my request for formal, but not too formal window treatment. I am thrilled with the results. When Stephen was installing the draperies, he took great care. I felt it was the level of care he would have given while installing the same items in his own home. The blinds are great. The very first night I noticed how they helped to keep out the cold, especially in the family room which is all windows. They look very nice and are of high quality. ALDR Design+Build+RenovateThere were alot of rain delays this past summer so work didn't progress as quickly as I'd expected. BUT, there were times they were working under tarps when they could and working much later on good days. The Local Dad team takes great pride in their workmanship and it shows. Jeff stops by often to check on progress and to address any concerns. He listens and makes suggestions; for example; when I mentioned that my dogs may be in the newly restored "garden house" with me he suggested a more durable type of screening that wouldn't tear if they tried to tear at the screening on the windows. AResidential Repairs & RemodelingIn preparation to sell my 3000 sq./ft home in a buyers market, I knew I needed to bring it up to move-in-condition shape. Having only been in the Charlotte area for 5 years and not knowing who to trust, I found Residential Repairs and Remodeling on Angie's List and gave Kenny a call. I prefer using smaller independent contractors instead of using larger companies. I did, however, invite a larger remodeling company (also found on Angie's List) to compare. Kenny's attention to detail showed right from the word go. The larger company treated my needs like I expected...a lack of personal touch (cold) and 10% higher in their estimate. Kenny, on the other hand, showed me what he would do to get the house to move-in-condition and he more thorough than even I would have been. Once I hired Kenny, he began working when he said he would and continued until completion. Kenny will not take on more than he can handle at one time and generally only has one large job going at a time. He also recommended a carpet company to use (which happens to be his brother) and they too, were friendly, competitive and did their work well and on time. I had the whole house re-carpeted which was not part of Kenny's quote...so the carpet replacement cost is not in the $30k work scope for Kenny. The new carpet and bathroom floors totaled an additional $8k-9k. I highly recommend Kenny's company. You will appreciate his honesty, integrity, and attention to detail and he will come back as needed to fix anything that may have been overlooked. You can't go wrong.- Paul P.
