Dr David Abraham is the greatest. I have resumed downhill skiing, I do bicycle rides of greater than 50 miles, I have hiked a couple of the 14'ers in the Rockies, walk 18 holes of golf while carrying my bag, walk greater than 10 miles a day when I can. Note: recovery is on you the patient. I pushed myself hard with the knowledge and support of Dr Abraham and Steve Valenti (PA). Thanks to everyone at OrthoNY. I am now getting ready to have both shoulders repaired - not replaced.

It is our place of choice. They are outstanding. The doctors are very competent. They have a good doctor patient relationship. You don't have to wait long to be seen. I recommend them to my students for sports related injuries. They are an excellent group. My daughter made an appointment yesterday for next Wednesday. It is a very nice facility. They have a couple satellite offices and they are all great.

    Abraham, Dr. J David
I like Dr. Abraham very much as he seems caring and easy to talk with. He does take time with you which is a good thing but I have never waited less than and hour and a half after my appointment time. That is not good.

He makes you feel like you are the only patient in the room. There is a bit of a wait, but he is worth it. He is very good at what he does. I have used him before, and I would use him again.

    Shatynski, Dr. Todd S.
I had a soccer injury to my right knee in January 2012. I saw another doctor from a different group for it - xrays were taken, the doctor examined my knee, and the diagnosis was soft tissue injury with no treatment and no further followup. Just give it time to heal. Some time went by and it wasn't getting any better, so my brother-in-law recommended I see Dr. Shatynski, so I did. My brother-in-law is a long-time runner and had Achilles Tendonitis and feared he'd have to have surgery, but Dr. Shatynski used exercises and physical therapy to cure him - no surgery needed, but it did take about 6 months of doing those exercises religiously. My brother-in-law was thrilled and can't say enough good things about Dr. Shatynski. When I met with Dr. Shatynski, we talked about my knee injury and how it was feeling, and he examined my knee and was able to pinpoint the area where I was feeling discomfort. XRays didn't show anything. He told me what he thought it was - stain/slight tear of the Popliteus muscle and/or Popliteus tendon. He said that this injury is very difficult to diagnose since many times it won't even show up on an MRI. We agreed that I would try some aerobics machines and some (not a lot) of straight ahead running - no side-to-side activity. If anytime in the next month it felt worse, I was to come back and get an MRI. For the next month things stayed about the same, but one day after running, it felt worse. That night I could feel some swelling in that knee and I iced it. The next day I scheduled the MRI. About 10 days after the MRI, I hadn't heard from Dr. Shatynski so I called. He called back twice himself and left messages both times explaining that he'd viewed the MRI and wanted to talk to me about it. When we finally spoke, he explained that from the MRI he saw a slight strain to my ACL. I asked about the Popliteus muscle and tendon that we talked about previously, and he agreed that he still believed the Popliteus muscle and/or tendon were involved. He recommended physical therapy 2-3 times per week for 4 weeks - exercises and ultrasound with a steroidal creme. He sent a referral to my house for the physical therapy - when I got it, I called and made appointments for the 1st 2 weeks. I'm currently at the end of my first week of physical therapy. My point is that where other orthopedic doctors may view an xray, not see anything, and diagnose and quot;soft tissue injuryand quot;, Dr. Shatynski digs deeper. He himself was a very good runner and had to stop because of an injury - so he knows what it's like to be injured. He goes the extra mile to find the cause of a problem because he genuinely wants to help you get better. I would highly recommend Dr. Shatynski!

Everything went good and he has took some xrays. We are currently trying cortizone shots in my knee and the lady that gave them was excellent. She is very experienced and good at it.

Very pleased with advice and treatment. Over the years I and my family have been to this orthopedic group many times, have seen a number of the doctors and have always found them to be very professional and seemingly very competent. I had two knee replacements last summer and am quite pleased with the outcome. My son had a very good recovery from a broken foot. I would recommend this orthopedic group to anyone in need of this specialty.

    Hedderman, Dr. Robert J
It hurts and it went as expected. It is a process to get back to normal but based on what other people have said, I think he did a very good job. I am back to better than I was before the surgery and I know other people who have been having issues. It is a bit of a doctor mill but some of the doctors are better than others. Overall, I found a good doctor there. If I dislike the one I am seeing, I can ask for someone else.

    Saratoga Hospital
Overall, this was a wonderful experience.  From the early pre-op testing, to the joint replacement class to provide information, to the admission and surgery itself, to post-op care, to release from the hospital - All was professional, prompt, complete, considerate, compassionate - I could have asked for nothing better.  I recommend Saratoga Hospital to anyone.
