    Canty Financial Management
Canty Financial Management was extremely helpful in aiding my husband and I with our income tax return. Even though I waited till the last few weeks to file, they still had the time to work with me and ensure I would be able to file on time. Although my return is more difficult than others, Canty Financial knew all the right steps to go through in filing my return. Canty FInancial Management was very responsive and provided exceptional service to me and my husband. After my experience with Canty Financial I will no longer panic when tax season comes around! After recently changing jobs, I couldn't think of a better firm to help me with my 401k rollover.

I really did get a great feeling from Don. He's friendly, seems honest, competent, and has been in the game for a long time. I couldn't believe that the hour we spent with him was free! No pressure to pursue another time slot or start setting up investments. Honest and non biased, which was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Just one hour with him made me feel like our financial future is going to be a lot better. We will definitly be back to see him when we have a child and/or have our debts paid off so we can start looking at other investments. This is the place to go, folks!

I'm a bit of a money management n***.  I've lived on a budget since I was in high school and my credit report is spotless.  But this past spring when my husband and I were looking to buy a house, I had a knot in my stomach wondering if it was the right decision.  We were referred to Don by a friend who has used him as their financial planner for years.  I called and set up a meeting, and received a packet in the mail asking for tax records, net worth information, etc, etc.  It took a few days to collect the information.  We sat down with Don for a free consultation, laid out our household spending reports (yes, I'm that nerdy), bank statements, and retirement account information.  We basically wanted to know, are we doing the right thing to buy a house now, or should we be prioritizing retirement or other things?  He looked things over and then assured us we'd be fine, financially, to buy a house now, and then asked "What else?"  I asked about retirement accounts and he gave me a sense of what different types of accounts do and the tax implications of rollovers, etc, and then asked "What else?"  I asked about stock options and he gave me a fantastic explanation that made sense of it all.  Something that I really appreciated was that in all of his answers he didn't tell me what to do.  None of the answers followed the format of, "Well what you need to do is...," but rather educated me on how things worked and what my options were, and then left it to me to make decisions. Since this was a free consultation, I hadn't expected much.  I really thought he would give me a quick run through of "here's what I can do for you," and then set up a (not so free) meeting to actually answer our questions.  To my very pleasant surprise, Don spent an entire hour answering every question I could come up with.  He was just so... nice!  And did I mention it was free?! Don has gained my trust and respect, and when those stock options actually turn into some money, he will be the guy we turn for investment options.

Adam asked a lot of questions to get a better understanding of who we were and what we hoped to accomplish with our investment portfolio. He took the time to get to know us. And then he took the time to educate us in plain English where we needed educating We'd been round the Mulberry bush looking for a financial planner who wouldn't just treat us as once-and-done clients. You know the type-- happy to take your investment money and collect their commissions--and you never hear from them again. We wanted someone who would actually listen to us, pay attention to our account, make recommendations, and give good advice--all for a flat fee rather than on a commission basis. We found that person in Adam McNeill. It's not possible to list all the great things about working with Adam without it turning into a book. So let me just say that he has more than doubled the profits on our investments over what the previous financial planner was getting for us. I wish I had found out about Adam years ago.

We started using Ryan for financial planning services in 2006. In that time we have found him to be both knowledgeable and professional (he's a nice guy, too). He begins with a complimentary consultation to describe his services. if you choose to continue, Ryan will gather the pertinent information and develop a plan based on your needs and goals. In our case we need retirement and college planning. Ryan also assessed our insurance coverage and made some recommendations, although he does not sell insurance. We had some elements in place, but Ryan balanced our portfolio and we are in a better position now. We meet quarterly for a review, but other options are available. Questions are answered at any time. Ryan does his best to make this stuff understandable to people like me whose eyes start to glaze over from technical moneyspeak. I can definitely recommend Ryan if you are looking for a financial planner.

They have used multiple people to invest your money, and I like it because you are not just getting one idea but you are getting a whole bunch. My staff has done well. They charge me 1%. Their pricing is average.

The experience has been awful. They were simply supposed to change a joint acct to my elderly mother's name alone following my father's death. We provided all of the usual paperwork required. They have gone out of their way to make this difficult, and almost 3 months into this they still have not resolved the situation. They have ignored properly executed NYS Powers of Attorney despite their own website and forms saying they are subject to NYS law. They have continued to send multiple copies of the same forms to be filled out despite the fact that duly notarized copies had been sent to them already - i have copies and confirmation. They have not responded to complaints to FINRA and the SEC. They have completely ignored calls from our attorney. NONE of the other financial services companies we have had to deal with behaved this way and all went out of their way to be helpful. This is an atrocious way to treat an elderly woman and her life's savings.
