    Sunrise Solar Solutions LLC
The initial education meetings were outstanding.  Doug Hertz their president explained how solar works so I was an educated buyer.  The sales process was quite involved but I did not have to do much except answer some basic questions as their sales person was sharp when it comes to solar and put the questions in terms I could install.  The installation was done very professional.  I would highly recommend them so Solar energy.

    Neal C Mahoney Electric LLC
Neal provided excellent consultation and advice re: installing a motion detection-based light fixture for our rear porch, vs. a standard fixture. he could have sold us on a more costly solution, but steered us in the right director which was much appreciated. Neal is experienced, helpful and did great quality work

    TURNPIKE APPLIANCE SERVICE COMMACK
Terrible.  I brought them my Delonghi Magnifica espresso machine to fix because it was leaking.  They charged me $270 and when I finally got it back 3 weeks later it was even worse than when I dropped it off.  Now the machine doesn't even make coffee at all.
Watch out, this place is both exceptionally expensive and totally dishonest.

    "In the Spirit" Handyman Services
I called Bob Smith of In the Spirit Handyman Services and left a message. Bob called me back within twenty minutes and scheduled an appointment for an estimate the next day. Bob was on time and very professional. We agreed on a price and Bob set up an appointment to come the following week to do the work. At the time I scheduled the work I did not have my new dishwasher yet and did not realize that it would be on backorder and take three weeks to get. ( I reside on the North Fork so I am not around the corner)  I called Bob and advised him of this and he advised me that it was no problem that he would come and complete the other work and would return to install the dishwasher when it came in.  I had two dutch doors that connected to a sunroom (which is not heated all the time) from the bedrooms that had daylight coming through around the doorway and they did not open and close properly. I thought the doors could be adjusted and possibly have weather stripping put around them to solve the problem. After looking at the doors and the frame, Bob advised me that I should replace the doors and frames as one unit so I did not have any furthur problems and explained why. Bob also picked up the doors with the frame for me. (the cost of the doors was included in his price)  I also needed to have my bathroom fans vented to the outside properly. On one side I have attic access and saw that the bathroom was vented into to my attic and not to the outside. On the other side of the house I have vaulted ceilings and did not have attic access. Bob advised that he needed to cut an access hole in my closet ceiling in order to check the vents which he did. It turns out that the bathroom on that side of the house was vented properly which Bob told me. He cut the hole in my closet ceiling and framed it out nicely so now I have access to the attic if I need in the future. Bob also installed the two new doors with the frame. He spackled the walls after installing the new doors and painted the doors as well as the wall around the doors in the bedrooms. When he was done with the doors you never would have known they were replaced.  My dishwasher finally arrived and as promised Bob returned to install it for me. As with any project there is always unforseen problems. When he removed my old dishwasher he showed me that there were two 4"x4" holes cut in the sheetrock for no reason. He advised they should be covered to keep out any  "unwanted visitors" which he did for me.  As he was connecting the water line for the dishwasher the brass trap under the sink had discintegrated and basically fell apart in his hand. He stated it would be no problem to fix and luckily he had a replacement trap on his truck. All his workers were professional and neat. I would highly recomend him and will use him for any future projects.

START TO FINISH CONSTRUCTION/BD GENERAL CONT INC
It was excellent. We are going to have them do other things in the house. They were very clean and responsive to whatever I needed. Bruce worked with me in choosing the tile and made suggestions with designs in the bathroom--he was absolutely fantastic. All of his workers were neat, courteous, and professional. When we paid the bill, it was exactly what the original estimate was, there were no surprises. He also did a lot of other little things that he didn't charge us for. He went above and beyond our expectations.

    RB Electric & Son
Great. Rich and his team really spent the time and effort to get the thermostat back on line sufficient to test with the boiler. Very contentious
