Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute
It went well. The therapists seemed to know what they were doing. I was getting billed for something else that happened back in September and it wasn't right. There were people not filing the bills correctly.

What stands out for me, is their availability and professionalism. They have three doctors for physical therapy in the office - at least, that I know of. Every one of them is very professional and very responsive. And they have all the latest technologies like lasers and all that. I would recommend them. The office environment is very comfortable and friendly. They are like a big family. Their clerical work is above and beyond. They are on top of everything immediately.

    Jackowsky, Dr. Eric F.
Dr. Jackowsky is wonderful.  He is very thorough and very personable.  He is knowledgeable.  He explains everything to the patient about what is going on.  He has a friendly office and a great staff.  They are also knowledgeable.  I trust him.  I don’t go to anyone I don’t trust.

I like their flexibility, good workout, and they are very professional. I am happy with them just the way they are. They get the job done in a small amount of time as possible. Everything is by appointment. The environment is pleasant. It is not beautiful but it's effective. It is fine. The staff and their punctuality are excellent. I think they are effective. I have no problem with their billing. It really is a special place. It has been taking care of me for a long time.

They were so professional and so helpful. They left no stone unturned to think of everything to help me get better, they were very encouraging. The place you go is clean, they are accessible in trying to get times for you to come in. I couldn't say enough about them. The real care they give to you as a person, they really want to get you out of pain.

    Isaac Kreizman MD
I've been seeing this doctor for at least 5 years. He's consulted with other medical professionals. He's fit me in as an emergency patient. He takes time to explain everything. Sometimes there's a long wait in the waiting room but that's understandable. In the office, the doctors can speak yiddish, hebrew, spanish, and russian. Overall, I'm very satisfied with their services.

I used this place regularly some years ago and was very pleased with the treatment. The Chiropractors were very effective and the massage therapy that accompanied the adjustment was very effective and helpful. The place is run very efficiently, I never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. This is very handy as many people go during work hours or lunch hour and you are in and out in no time. Billing is done seamlessly through insurance. I know the doctors I used are no longer there so I can't speak to the quality in 2010 but I was very happy with it, when I did go. The front office staff is very personable and efficient.

    Island Sports Therapy
I've had PT many times before, so I think I'm a good judge of whether or not a PT place is right for me or not and is a professional environment. Island Sports Care is both. I don't think anyone really likes to be in the position to have to go to PT, but Eric and the rest make the experience quite pleasant. The atmosphere inside the treatment room is never tense, never unhappy. The PT staff, students, and assistants are completely professional -- every patient is treated with respect and care. The tone here is very tranquil, and patients happily work towards their goals. The reception area is large with plenty of chairs. What I don't like is the loud television on every time I come in. I wish we could go back to the days when people read a magazine in the waiting room -- why am I subjected to some idiot program at a loud volume? I pray twice a week that I will be taken to the treatment room within seconds. As most of the people I've seen in the waiting room are my age (55) and older, I would bet that they are thinking what I think but are too polite to say something. I'm not polite: ditch the tv or turn it down -- WAY down: few people are watching it -- trust me. The staff is fine -- however, there is a newish receptionist/assistant (she's Filipina, I think.) who can't wait to answer the phone whether you're standing in front of her in the middle of a word or a sentence or whatever. I spent years in retail and in reception and I just KNOW that one doesn't abandon a conversation or transaction with a living person to answer a phone. She HAS to learn this or else she will offend a large part of your demographic (in the last 4 months during my biweekly visits, I've seen mostly people over 50, and we over-50 folk were brought up to let the telephone ring if there was a human being we were engaged in talking to. Even if times have changed, I think the person standing at the desk has to be dealt with before the unnamed person on the phone first.) The receptionist should learn how to say "Island Sports Care. Could you hold, please?" and THEN finish her transaction with the human being. THEN she can go to the voice on the phone and handle that problem AFTER the living human being has been seen to. This problem needs to be addressed before it becomes part of the culture of the Island Sports Care office.

On my last appointment I was really hurting in my legs and low back and therefore the treatment was concentrated there.By getting heat and deep massage, followed by chiropractic care in the same area, I left feeling much better then when I entered.
