    Miracle Home Improvements
After the sales person came to look at the house, Robert, the owner, wanted me to go to the home center to make sure the material matched what I was asking for since this was a repair for some storm damage before he could write up the estimate. He said he called and spoke to a person who would give me a sample. However, the sample was the wrong manufacturer and ended up having to go back twice. Not a problem since I wanted to make sure it was the same color. After going twice and still getting the wrong sample, I called Robert again to have him call them and specify what I was looking for since they kept giving me the wrong sample. He wasn't too happy about calling but this time I did get the correct sample. In the meantime, I called the manufacturer to also have them send me samples and also spoke to them to ensure the color was the same. This whole process took a month. Once I got the correct sample, I called Robert to tell him it was the same. At this point, he wanted Joey to come back to measure again, which required another day off of work. After not hearing back after a week, I called Robert and he said that Joey was out on a medical and he had to wait until he came back. When I asked how long he would be out, he was very non-committal and a little stand offish. I was also confused since Robert was the one that was writing up the contract and now he said Joey was. I gave it another week and called again and left a message twice with his wife and no return phone call. Really poor way to do business especially when dealing with the owner. Total waste of 2 months of my time, running around and time off of work. However, I found a great contractor who was able to come up with creative solutions to a few problems since some of the material was no longer made. That is a true professional not this place!

Darren and team came out and completed all of the work on our home in a single day and my wife and I are overjoyed with the results. We chose LIK because Darren was very personable and friendly, and an expert in the work they do. Darren took the time to answer all of our questions as new home owners and was extremely transparent in communications regarding the work to be done. This made us much more comfortable having this done and reinforced the reasons we chose LIK. On the day the work was done, Darren called to ask us some questions, answer some additional questions we had, and ultimately to make sure it was being done to the specifications we discussed. There was a minor deviation from our initial discussions and I was very happy that Darren brought this to our attention and made us feel comfortable with the minor change. We would highly recommend LIK Gutters to anyone looking to have this type of work done on their home. As new home owners they went above and beyond to make sure we were completely comfortable with the process and we could not be happier with our choice in providers and the work they did on our home!

    European Craftsman and Remodeling
Tony is the rare contractor who truly cares about form and function. He pays attention to every detail. He built new column bases in his shop that are indistinguishable from the originals and the railings are probably straighter now than they've been for fifty years! The mahogany floor is a thing of beauty: It looks gorgeous and we know it is built to last.

Our job was not without some tricky issues, which he dealt with speedily and expertly, explaining what he found and how to fix it. He discovered rotted wood in the fascia and soffit surrounding the porch roof, as well as in the framing joists where they had been touching the floor on top (they looked decent from underneath), requiring more labor and materials than he'd originally estimated. But he and his crew, who are really nice and pleasant guys, just pushed through to get it done. And the final price was not so far off his estimate. Weather and electrical work halted things for a few days, but Tony returned over the weekend to finish painting the columns/railings/woodwork and sanding and staining the floor. We love our new/old porch and we'll definitely hire Tony again for our next project.

not well.   installed 4 inch vs 5 inch gutters on the house.  the facing is angled 45 degrees so you cant get your hand in to clean with the small gutters.  they also look rediculous up against the 45 degree angle.  i pointed this out to the contractor and said they are likely to fall down.  he put a few small braces in.  and of course the first winter the entire gutter fell off the house.  i had them come back to put more screws in and reinforce all around.
contractor does these all the time.  shouu;u;d have recognized that the gutters were undersized for the facing on the house .  i would have happilly paid a few more bucks for the commerical gutters.   i asked him to replacebefore they were even installed and he refused.  i looked at them and said they would not do the job
after installation i complained that i couldn't get my hand in to clean and he went up on the ladder and showed me how easy it was.  his hand got stuck.  what a joke.
they are cheap but don't know what they are doing.

    Franzoso Contracting
Where do I start? Everything started when we decided to go solar back in July 2014. We have been talking to numerous solar providers and decided to go with SolarCity. When Kevin from Franzoso knocked on my door on December 23rd 2014, we were already 80% done with SolarCity. We also have couple of estimate from different roofers. We didn?t call Franzoso in the first
place even though they are literally 5 mins from our house was due to the fact that I read few negative reviews about them and I will address that later.

It was almost dark when he knocked on our front door and when I opened the door, Kevin was not standing right at our doorstep, but he took the extra effort to go down the stairs and waited there. I was really surprised that he did that. After introducing himself, he asked if we will be interested in doing solar and I said yes. Long story short, he scheduled for roofers (Dan) and solar advocate (Alex) to come the next day, which is Christmas eve. Everyone that came was extremely courteous and it was cold that day as well.

The biggest surprised that I got was not one, but two phone calls from the owner of the company!! I was invited to his office so that he can personally explain to me how to replace a roof properly and most importantly to find out why we didn?t consider them in the first place. So, I went in and in less than 2 weeks, I gave Franzoso our roof and solar contracts.

On a side note, I was introduced to Pete as he will be the person responsible for the roofing project. For those that don?t know him, Pete is a very big-muscular guy and from the moment we were introduced, he have been addressing me ?Sir?, even though I kept telling him to call me by my first name. Extremely-extremely polite. Kept offering me coffee, juices or water and
at that moment, I know I don?t have to worry much when the project commence.  Wait till you meet him and you will see what I mean.

Did I give the contracts to them because the owner was a great salesman? Yes, he was a great sales person, but most importantly I felt that he was extremely genuine. He took the liberty to look through the estimates that I have and compared them line-to-line to his proposal.  He looked for samples to show me, and his explanations were amazing. This guy is passionate about roof!!!

To make this straight to the point for all of you that are reading this, I will just list all the reasons why we went with Franzoso.

    1. Extremely courteous and knowledgeable owner and staffs.
    2. Willing to spend a great lengthy time with me even on our first meeting. We haven?t even made up our mind yet on who to go
    with.
    3. Talked to a very knowledgeable and passionate owner and not some random guy.
    4. Very family oriented run business.
    5. A bit out of our budget, but again, Franzoso uses top of the line materials and not some cheapo materials. Most importantly
it is warranted and we will be worry-free for a very long-long time.
    6. They have their own crews that will do the installation.
    7. Its located 5 mins from where we are.
    8. Franzoso took care of everything. Literally everything.
    9. Are willing to compromise. Example: we split the cost of tree cutting 50-50 and upgraded from the mechanical operated skylite to solar-powered skylite. We split the difference 50-50.
    10. Most importantly, they gained our trust.

Every business has its pros and cons and Franzoso also have its own con: lack of parking space.

So there you are. Just my humble opinion on why we went with this company. Work shall commence pretty soon and once the roof is up and running, the solar panels will be install. I will update this review once everything is completed. If this work out, we will be calling them for our next projects: basement renovation and energy audit.

    UPDATE:

Work started on March 31st and ended on the week of April 13th. Solar panels were installed after that. We are extremely pleased with the outcome. Benny and his roofing crews were extremely polite and knowledgeable with the roofing part. Henry and his partner did an amazing siding and soffit work. The gutter crew were also amazing. Once the gutter was up, we are extremely happy with the outcome. Mark Franzoso's advice on the color of the siding was right on. It complement the white azek and gutter and charcoal roof so well. We get compliments from all the neighbors when they saw the outcome.

There were few minors problems that we noticed after the crews finished with the roof, soffits and gutters. A call to the project manager (Dan Gile) solved the problems. Mark Franzoso, Peter Klatt and Gan Gile were all on board and extremely communicative throughout this project.

One thing that we are disappointed about this whole process/job is the sagging in the rear of the roof. I was told that there is nothing that can be done, unless I wish to incurred the cost of ripping out the plywood and raised up the sagged rafter. I looked at the before pics and honestly didn't see any obvious sagging in that part of the roof, but I was told that since we extended out the roof 12", the sagged portion will become obvious. It wouldn't be such an issue if we were told beforehand.

Solar work went with a hiccup except with the electrical work. Again, a phone call to Mark Franzoso solved the problems.

One last thing that I wish to mention is that Mark Franzoso stopped by our house to personally inspect the work and took some pictures of the things that he think need to be fixed. Since I have been proactively contacting them about pretty much anything that I don't like and wish to be fixed, I decided not to burden them with any problem that is too minor. But, Mark disagreed and have them fixed the next day!!!!

My conclusion about this project as well as our personal experiences are as follow:

    1. Amazing company.
    2. Stellar and extremely knowledgable crews.
    3. And most importantly--Extremely understanding and accommodating staffs.

This have been a great experiences for us. We have dealt with many contractors that claimed to be professional, but they are not even close to Franzoso Contracting. Thank you very much from the bottom of our heart for all the great work done. Now, there is only 2 more things to do: Get the last part of the electrical work done with electrician that Mark recommended and pay.
Yep, Franzoso has not ask for a dime from us yet.

    JUST GUTTERS & SUPPLY
Norm came right away after I called, same day.   Cleaned gutters on house that had not been cleaned in years and were completely full to brim of decomposed leaves that had turned into soil.  Also blew moss off roof.   Charged less than he originally estimated.   Was pleasant, informative and reasonably priced.

    Miracle Home Improvements
From my initial phone call, the response was outstanding. My phone call was returned the next day, and within a few days the head contractor was at our house with an estimate. I compared it with another estimate and it was in line with the work and costs. What I liked about Miracle was that owners Rob and Mary Sniffen returned my calls promptly, did not try to sell me any unnecessary extras, was thorough and patient as they took me through the proposal. My husband and I were provided with a complete packet of information. The packet contained a listing of Miracle customers in our area, including a number of our neighbors; we checked out the references, who provided rave reviews about the work. We were told that Miracle does a great job at a reasonable price and always follows up promptly if there are any issues following completion of any job. We hired Miracle to do the job, and were pleasantly surprised when they were able to move our work date up a few weeks. The job itself took only two days, the noise was kept to a very tolerable level and the work crew was courteous, considerate and efficient and did a complete cleanup when they were finished. So far, we have had no follow-up issues. We have a new roof over our heads, and it is attractive as well as functional.

Had storm damage to my house, and called Miracle for an estimate. They came and gave me what appeared to be a fair estimate. The man who came was very pleasant. The problem was, when it came time to sign the contract they said they would not be able to begin the work for 5 weeks or longer. I'm sure they were very busy because the storms affected many homes in my area, but sadly this made the whole exercise a bit of a waste for me since I had major damage to my home and really needed it fixed as quickly as possible.Their people are friendly and I'm sure they do good work. I only wish they were more forthcoming about their availability in the beginning.

    RESTO CORP
Resto was excellent. They came into the picture through referral by my insurance company after I had already had somewhat negative experiences with some other local contracting companies. From the beginning Resto was very responsive and they started the work within a week when other contractors wouldn't start for weeks. They matched up my materials perfectly and restored everything to looking better than it did before the damage. I was dealing with Dennis and he was fantastic. Would absolutely recommend.
