    Briko Contracting
Brian asked us to describe what we wanted and we showed him a picture of a nice design we had seen. He told us that the long open spans would need strong wood, and suggested Ipe (a very dense Brazilian mahogany). He did the measurements of our space and procured the necessary wood and the special tools to work with this very hard wood. He did the construction without any delays and produced a very light looking open structure with precise fitting parts. We open our 8-ft. wide curtains every morning to admire the beautiful view and our wonderful 12-ft. wide balcony. Brian has a great friendly personality, has respect for his clients and does work that holds up well. He also installed the front double mahogany doors and screen doors of our house which open and close precisely after many years.

Tony is the rare contractor who truly cares about form and function. He pays attention to every detail. He built new column bases in his shop that are indistinguishable from the originals and the railings are probably straighter now than they've been for fifty years! The mahogany floor is a thing of beauty: It looks gorgeous and we know it is built to last.

Our job was not without some tricky issues, which he dealt with speedily and expertly, explaining what he found and how to fix it. He discovered rotted wood in the fascia and soffit surrounding the porch roof, as well as in the framing joists where they had been touching the floor on top (they looked decent from underneath), requiring more labor and materials than he'd originally estimated. But he and his crew, who are really nice and pleasant guys, just pushed through to get it done. And the final price was not so far off his estimate. Weather and electrical work halted things for a few days, but Tony returned over the weekend to finish painting the columns/railings/woodwork and sanding and staining the floor. We love our new/old porch and we'll definitely hire Tony again for our next project.

    Enco Construction Services Inc
Pat and Andy performed a gut renovation on our 18th century farmhouse over a decade ago.  They were our first call when we decided to replace windows that were not replaced when we purchased the house.  Demo, and installation went quickly and the workers were really clean.  The rooms with new windows are so much warmer that we are no longer constantly firing up our wood stove just to keep them at a livable temperature.
Our master bath has a beautiful walk-in shower now thanks to Enco as well.  As with most old houses, ours has its share of hidden issues and the guys were great about addressing structural challenges as they arose.

    Evolve Remodeling Group LLC
Being a professional home inspector with an extensive background in construction I was very cautious on who I chose to do the work on my house. I usually do all the work on my house myself, but this project was too big and complicated for me to handle. I was not familiar with Evolve prior to this project . I am extremely happy and satisfied with the work that John and his crew from Evolve did on my house. There were many different aspects to this project that made it difficult - my house was built in 1939 as a bungalow and was not built to have a second floor - Evolve worked with the architect closely and was able to get the proper supporting structure in place prior to putting on the second floor. The chimney rebuild was done in connecticut fieldstone (not veneer) and all the flashing was done in copper. I would consider the crew who did the chimney and flashing as artisans - what an unbelievable job they did. The second floor addition involved building 4 dormers all with a very steep pitch (the front dormers are different pitch that the rear dormers) - Evolves' crew had to spend extra time figuring out all the complicated angles associated with dormers, but did not come back and ask for additional money (which would have been totally reasonable). John also was able to work with me and the architect to solve some design issues that arose during the construction and again no additional money was requested. The roof was also not a standard roof and had to be installed properly in order to achieve the look that was intended and again Evolve did a great job. The crew showed up every day at the time they said and cleaned up and tarped the house every night. All the workers were very nice and well mannered. My wife, 2 year old son and myself all lived in the house during the project and John made sure that was possible by taking extra steps to create the least amount of disruption to the existing first floor. The project was finished in the time frame that was promised and on budget. Overall a fantastic experience and I am 100 percent satisfied with the work that was done. John is a true professional and was very responsive to all my questions. As a home inspector I get clients asking me everyday if I have a contractor I could refer and Evolve is now at the top of my list.

THEY WERE VERY GOOD ABOUT COMING ON TIME FOR THE MEASUREMENTS AND ALSO WHEN THEY GOT THE JOB THEY WERE THERE WHEN THEY PROMISED. THEY HAD TO COME BACK BECAUSE ONE WINDOW LACKED THE MULLIONS AND DID SO WITHIN ABOUT 2 WEEKS.
