    Lecla Home Improvements LLC
Lecla was terrific -- a foreman came very promptly to inspect the damage on our roof and to take careful measurements (in contrast to another company, which sent someone who took a quick look from the ground, never went on the roof at all). Two workman from Lecla came very soon after to make the repairs (which included replacing rotten wood underneath the shingles), and did an excellent job. The estimate and final invoice were carefully prepared too, with prices for specific repair materials, We were very pleased and would highly recommend this company.

    Richie's Roofing LLC
After arranging to have the work done in September, he stood us up twice without letting us know beforehand. The second time he didn't show up, I phoned and he said he would phone to reschedule. We are still waiting for the call.

    Perry Verrone LLC
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. After some materials delivery the day before, Perry and his crew arrived early in the morning and immediately got to work. Our house is an old colonial that has had at least two major additions, so the roof (and it's really three roofs, not including the cylindrical addition with the conical roof). Within a couple of hours they had nearly all the existing roof stripped and out of the way. There were at least a dozen guys walking around on the rafters with 4x8 plywood sheathing, laying and nailing them. By the end of the first day, we had nearly everything up, with only a small bit of shingle and drip edge to finish on the second day. The second day was also cleanup day, and they did a very good job, including running the big magnet around to pick up nails.
Perry also subcontracted some carpentry and interior work for me, the vast majority of which went very well, and I am well satisfied with the rest, although it could have been done a little more timely.
Perry is a very pleasant guy, he listened to what I had to say, adjusted what he could and clearly explained to me what he could not do and why. He stuck to his bid and didn't try to nickel-and-dime me (and his bid was very competitive).
A good experience, and a good guy who did excellent work. Kudos to Perry, I have no hesitance in recommending him for any roofing job.
And kudos to Angie's List. I would have never found Perry without it.

    LeafFilter North, Inc. (North Jersey)
We have had the product a short time so we can not be sure how well it's really going to work. We had 2 very wet snows right after having the LeafFilters product installed and it did not shed the show like they promised. However, we think it will do good job of performing its primary function which is to keep debris out of the gutters so that they stay clean and flow well.
There definitely was a problem with the salesman being overly aggressive with his promises and his sales pitch. For instance, he told us that every one involved in the process was a company employee. Instead of a crew showing up in a company truck as we expected based on his promises, one guy who was a subcontractor showed up in his own mini van inadequately equipped. They swore they had all the proper licenses and insurance but we question whether the subcontractor did in fact meet these standards. By the time he arrived and had his ladder against the house, it was a little difficult to raise that issue. Time will tell. Although they did not require payment of any kind until the work was finished which is obviously a big positive. On the other hand, we would not have received a copy of the bill if we did not have our own copy machine and asked to make a copy. The installer further upset us by making us fill out his survey before he left about the quality of his work which obviously we could not judge at that point particularly as he finished after dark due to not having arrived until after 11 in the morning. He claimed if we didn't fill out the survey he wouldn't get paid. Again on the positive side, we have to say that corporate management in Ohio seemed very responsive to our comments and we actually talked to a real living vice president.
In conclusion, we would say the problem may all lie with bad regional management but the experience was definitely uneven. Sort of akin to going to a restaurant with an uneven experience.

Honey Do Men Gutters & Roofing
A company representative came over to examine my gutters.  He proposed to replace my  gutter covers and sell me new ones.  If he didn't replace the covers, the charge would be $350.  If the company did replace the gutter covers, the charge would be $850.
I found someone to clean my gutters for $60.

I had to wait a bit but it was well worth it. They did a great and professional job. They have put new roofs on the houses on either side of me and we have all been very happy with the work and price.

    Prime Home Improvement
About two weeks after our first appointment we received a phone call from Prime letting us know that the windows where in and that they would be installing them right on schedule. Two days later several trucks from prime showed up to my house to take out the old windows and install the new ones. This was a surprise to me because when some places say that it would take two weeks to get something in, it usually means a month. The windows where installed in one day, the old windows where removed and taken away and after it was all done my house never looked so nice.

    Prime Home Improvement
The work was actually done in October of 2009, but since we signed up to this website we figured why not ad our opinion about this company. The overall work was done in a timely manner and when it was all finished it looked great and so far not complaints. My husband and I loved their work so much, especially their prices, that we are having them install replacement windows for our entire home.
