Again Dr. Grace Liu was very proficient and warm towards my 3year old. Made us feel very comfortable. She gave him a thorough exam- explained all the options very clearly and was very efficient and proficient. The staff members also represented the office very well as they were all friendly and helpful both in person when we went to the office as well as on the phone to schedule the first appointment and follow up appointments. I would highly recommend this practice to others.

Eventually, Dr. Bianchi had to open tear duct in operating room at Valley Hospital Outpatient Surgery Center... I am a recovery room nurse and have lots of experience w/surgeons postoperatively...I wish all of the surgeons I work with could be as competent, pleasant and professional as Dr. Bianchi. I highly recommend him.

    Auerbacher, Dr. Jeffrey H.
I waited for 2 visits with Dr. Auerbacher before I did any review. And I am so pleased we found him -- and not to sound like an advertisement, I went to him based on reviews from this site. Staff is fine. It's in Pearle Vision, and as I haven't been to a chain store in decades, I was pretty wary. But so far, both visits went very smoothly and with no problems. It was easy and quick to make an appointment. You can make an appointment online but for my daughter, I decided to call. I needed one that same day as I was in the midst of ordering her eyeglasses online and decided last minute to spend additional money on another exam than spend on eyeglasses with the wrong script. (she had her annual exam earlier with a local optometrist who did not provide trial lenses for first-time-diagnosed astigmatism and turned out prescription was wrong for her; said they didn't have it in stock as it was special lenses) So this was our situation at our first visit with Dr. Auerbacher, who saw us on time, explained everything and did not rush at all. He knew we were there just for the eye exam and understood that I was merely trying to save money. He came across as knowledgeable; he inspired confidence that he knows what he's doing -- and again, all with a very pleasant demeanor. On cost: with the same exact insurance and same purpose (exam for eyeglasses and contacts), I paid a whole lot less than what I paid other optometrists. (eye exam co-pay is insurance-specified, but contact lens exam varies from 1 provider to another; one also charged an extra fee for the alternative exam that did not require drops to dilate the pupils.) The "Do's and Don'ts" specify not to talk about other providers, so suffice it so say that I have been in search of a good, trustworthy optometrist for a while now. Between myself and my 2 kids, I assigned each one of us to (3) different ones so I can efficiently compare and stay with whoever was okay (not perfect, just okay). Within the last few years, sadly these 3 dwindled to 1; then as of this year, the 1 remaining did not work out. As of date, my daughter's corrected contacts (yup-- had to pay for a new set of 1-year supply of contacts for her; returned half a year's supply of unopened boxes but had to bite the bullet for the opened ones) and eyeglasses scripts are great; and so are mine. From ease of making appointments, helpful staff, minimal to no wait time, to a very very nice, knowledgeable doctor and really reasonable out-of-pocket costs/correct billing -- and more importantly, correct prescription! -- we are pleasantly surprised and happy to have found Dr. Auerbacher whom we feel confident with. And, we hope we continue to receive excellent service.

Dr. Guterman was great with the baby, making cute distracting sounds while simultaneously quickly and efficiently getting through the exam.

    Thau, Dr. Andrea P.
Dr. Schulman was really great; friendly, interactive, and perceptive. My daughter really enjoyed seeing her which helped improve the accuracy of the test results. (It's not always easy to get a 4-year-old to answer truthfully, "Which looks clearer, #1 or #2?" It was clear they had a packed schedule, and the doc worked & spoke quickly, but we were *not* rushed while in her care. My daughter was given the time she needed to take her tests and answer questions. The waiting area is really small! which on a messy, snowy day was not the most comfortable. But the building itself is beyond fancy and the exam room was clean and nice.  The reception & admin staff were courteous and efficient, and when my daughter was getting sleepy between exam phases (which would compromise the exam results) they had lollipops at the ready. I wasn't sure where best to categorize this, but by far the biggest beef I had with this office was in the initial scheduling. It took me four separate days of calling multiple times a day to get a person on the phone! We were ready to give up on this office when I finally got through. Once I was speaking to a human, availability was not an issue; we got an appointment within 2 weeks of the first call. But man, was it tough to get that human. It might have been the time of year? (It was pretty close to Thanksgiving holiday) but still... The only reason we kept at it was the seeming lack of highly rated pediatric-focused optometrists & ophthalmologists in the city (or at least those that identify as such on Angie's List).  That said, once we were in, I'm glad I was persistent. This office absolutely met our needs. Even if they are not the cheapest. And boy, they are not.

My whole family uses them. We have used them for almost 10 years. The office environment is excellent. I rarely have to wait. Everyone is very professional. They have taken care of the full range of eye care we have had.

    Minzter, Dr. Ronald M.
My first meeting with Dr. Minzter was on a Sunday. He opened his office for me at the request of my pediatrician on an emergency basis. Dr. Minzter is extremely patient, thorough, and takes his time to gain the trust of his younger patients. My son has been a patient of his for 8 months. Dr. Mintzer was seeing him every other day, and then once a week, and now is seeing him every few months. My son is still under Dr. Minzter's care to monitor the scarring and determine our next steps. We have another follow-up appointment this month. I have been very lucky to find a doctor whom I trust. I know he has my son's best interests at heart.
