Tom Saint Painting & Remodeling LLC
It went fantastically well! I originally contacted Tom because I wanted the same company to do both my floors and the interior painting. I wanted to do both in a condensed period of time and would be occupying the house as much as possible during the process, so coordination of both aspects of the project was very important. We had not done the floors for over 20 years and we had not painted some parts of the house for more than 15. Tom had immediate and definitive ideas of what I could do to make my house look more current with paint colors and some carpentry, and he was able to show me pictures to help me understand what the end result would be. After just that first discussion, I felt like I could trust his vision and was immensely relieved to have the decisions of what to do already made. Then he helped us understand how the two projects would be coordinated and worked with us to fit it into our desired time frame. Tom provided us a proposal very promptly, and followed up with me to see if I had questions, so no frustration waiting for all of the discussions we had to be committed to paper. Once the project started, his crews on both the floors and painting were a delight to work with. Professional, prompt, very neat and paid attention to me whenever I asked them to. Tom was also very responsive by text or phone when I had questions or simply wanted reassurances. The experience was very positive, and we are completely thrilled with the results of his work!. I would totally recommend Tom Saint Painting!

    Peter Smith Painting
We brought in Peter to paint our aging kitchen cabinets. The cabinets came out so much better than we hoped. Although the cabinets were almost 30 years old, they looked like they were new with a pristine factory finish. Peter's team was very professional, neat and a pleasure to deal with. We loved Peter's work so much that we hired his team to paint several other rooms in our house, our staircase and even a few pieces of furniture! If you have kitchen cabinets in good condition that are looking a bit old and tired, I highly recommend having Peter's team come and paint them!

CertaPro Painters of Westchester NY and Southern CT
Based on reviews, I purchased a painter for a day (8 hours) at $349. The promotion indicated that if additional time was required, the hourly rate would be $45. I knew my needs would extend beyond 8 hours, so asked for a full estimate which came to 54 hours. In the end, I spent $2,500 on labor and $400 on my own paint. In the end, the job met the labor criteria, but not at all the professional results. Note that I have waited a full 4 weeks to ensure this review is in balance. Because of the lack of preparation and the inconsistent (40 percent to professional standards, 60 percent well below) quality and/or thoroughness of the job, it has taken me 3 weeks (including weekends although working full time) to either redo, touch up, clean up or finish what the painters started. Nevermind removing paint off of carpet, hardwood floors, furntiure, etc. I had to monitor the job much more than I would have expected and point out blatantly obvious areas and items. This company and the people I have dealt with are more interested in speed than quality, and ratings versus a job well done. I was given a lousy 5 percent discount for my frustrations and after I told the supervisor and the owner that I would never use or recommend them, they offered me a discount/coupon for future painting and to remediate to finish the poor work. The painters were on time and courteous, Jorge in particular. I could tell from the start that they were performing to their company's standards and expectations, but not mine for the money spent on a "professional" painter. The back office experience went well and, in the end, the real issues are in the front office.
