    CANDOR ANIMAL CARE
This is the rudest and most socially awkward veterinarian I've ever had to deal with, he talks down about people that reach out for his help. This place of business is very unorganized and dirty, and this pretty much sums up Dr. Ober's hygiene. My wife and I have never had a good experience with this over the years and would never recommend reaching out with an animal that you care about.

was in contact with someone for over a week making numerous phone calls and getting vet records before being told that we could not adopt a cat due to age and that there were no cats left due to a "valentines sale". got too much attitude and lost too much time.

Terrible, unprofessional, extortionists. Worst customer service experience of my life! Held my dog hostage and stole money from me.

The doctors are wonderful. They treat each pet patient with kindness, and concern. The staff is caring and compassionate. I was extremely impressed with their knowledge and sincerity towards each pet and owner. We’ve boarded our dog twice with no complaints. He’s always well cared for and happy. Wouldn’t dream of using anywhere else.

Excellent. The staff was kind and caring. The animals were well cared for and happy. (As happy as any animal going to the veterinarian!)

    Veterinary Medical Center
I was very happy with friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the building. I was extremely happy with my initial meeting with Dr. Bocek. I immediately transferred my 5 cats and 2 dogs records here. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially compared to Vestal Vet which was my previous vet. Dr Bocek is a caring and compassionate vet. I wished I would have switched over sooner.

The cost was kind of high. They're responsive and professional. They seem to really care about the pets.

It went well very well as usual. Dr. John has been Pepper's vet since she was a puppy. She is a pretty timid dog but the doctor and his assistant handle her with care and compassion making her "ordeal" much less traumatic for her. The doctor is easy to talk to and answers all my questions patiently and completely. We wouldn't consider having another vet take care of Pepper!

    CAT DOCTOR
Dr. Szczotka is an excellent cat doctor, and I first brought one of my cats to her in 2009, after his radioiodine treatment for thyroid cancer at Cornell Companion Animal Hospital. She treated my 14-year-old cat wonderfully, as if he were one of her own. She is realistic about treatments and expectations, and eventually, when the time came that we could do no more for him (he had developed oral cancer nearly two years after the thyroid treatment--and by the way the thyroid treatment worked perfectly and reduced his extremely elevated thyroid levels to normal), she euthanized him in the most humane and loving way, allowing me to hold him to the end and then for as long as I wanted or needed to afterward. She's a remarkable combination of professionalism and compassion, which is probably a very tough balance to achieve. Her rates are very competitive, and she will make you and your cats feel very comfortable. I won't trust anyone else but the Cat Doctor with my feline family. Great doc and really cares about what's best for the cats! Highly recommended.

    Vestal Veterinary Hospital
About two weeks ago my little Pug/mix (6.5yoa) was demonstrating an issue of frequent urination. It started with squatting too many times to urinate. I took her to my vet, that I have dealt with for several years and they said she had an infection and gave me some meds. Several days passed with no improvement and now more squatting attempts to urinate. I then checked some of her squat spots and they were dry. I took her back to the vet and stated she was still attempting to urinate continuously and appeared to me, to be having trouble. They said she had a urinary track infection, gave me an antibiotic and out we went. A couple of days passed and still no improvement and she was now attempting to urinate in the house. She is 100% potty trained. Buy attempting to urinate in the house, I could see there was no urine being expelled. On a Sunday 8/23/2015, I went back to vet, but they were closed. Sunday afternoon came and went and she was still struggling to urinate. Sunday evening came, no visible urine and I was beginning to panic. At 2am Monday morning it dawned on me to see if I could find an emergency vet. I found Vestal Veterinarian Hospital was open 24/7. I called, they answered, I grabbed the little dog Jersey and rushed to the hospital. She was surely in great distress. Never having been there, I had to do some paper work, and it did seem to take (for me) a little too long to get the doctor.  Yes, I was in a panic. But... The doctor appeared. She took Jersey into the examining room, asked me a few questions, went right out with Jersey and took x-rays and was back in a few minutes. She showed me the x-rays and Jersey had a bladder full of stones and one or some were blocking her urethra and her bladder was full. She told me Jersey would need surgery. I agreed. She gave me a price. I agreed. She told me, go home and she would call me once she was able to release her bladder of the blockage, and the surgery was set to do first thing in the morning. It was around 4am now. I went home and waited for the call. She called me about 90 minutes later saying that she was able to unblock the bladder and release the urine. She said that the operating doctor would call me after the surgery. Around four hours later I got the call and the surgery was a success and everything looked fine, and we could visit Jersey in the evening of Monday. We visited Monday and Jersey looked good considering all that she had been through the past two weeks and the surgery. I took her home Tuesday afternoon and she was still a little groggy but settled in, probably glad to be home. She ate a little food and had a bit to drink, did her business (a couple of times) and settled in for some needed rest. At discharge they explained thoroughly about the medications she had to take, her activity level, and keeping an eye on the sutures for infection and her licking them. All looks very good. Jersey even rolls over to tickle her belly. She is resting comfortably as I write this review. Though I don't include a great deal of detail on what was done, well, I wasn't there. But, the admitting doctor showed sincere concern for Jersey's condition. As I stated, once in the examining room, it was all business. The results speak for themselves. Jersey is well and much better in only two days. I can only be so glad and grateful that they were there for her care. I was explained everything and I was treated well also. Many things could have gone wrong but they didn't and that also speaks of the doctor(s)' efforts. I am sorry that I didn't think of a 24/7 emergency veterinarian, but it ended well. The doctors and staff at the Vestal Veterinarian Hospital did great work. I am more than satisfied, but again, more grateful they were there!!!! Thanks so much. Jersey said to thank you all also.
