John and his team we're great on all counts. Responsive, courteous, professional, and prompt. Everything went exactly as planned with no surprises. Promises made, promises kept and the price was great too. I will definitely use them again for all of my air conditioning needs. Highly recommend.

    Safehaven Home Services
It went great. The owner, Thommy, showed up the same day I called. He was professional and very nice to deal with. I highly recommend using his service. The price was reasonable and the problem was taken care of. Thank you, Safe Haven. I will definitely use them in the future.

    East Coast Mechanical Services
What happened, I had to go back to the bank to cancel the certified check of $8,150 and get a new one with $4,500 which I did. Today, I called with all honesty to the company because I was doing an additional work for dehumidifier and I spoke to the owner, Sean's Father, Bill and I informed him that I am sending the final balance of $4,500. Bill said to me that he will check the email and I informed him that Sean & Brenden gave me a final bill of $4,500 which they confirmed to me 2 times. They will give a receipt with the serial numbers of the unit and breakdown of the labor and parts. When I told him and repeat the final amount, he became irate and started screaming at me. I said I do not bellow and it is between him and his son. I explained that the service Sean did leaving the door of the heating system open cause me more expenditures. They had insurance for this type of problems and they left the door opened, it is Sean's negligence. When they stated the final balance 2 times, I thought they deducted the $3,650 because labor and material was being itemized as less. Let me reiterate that Sean & Brenden confirmed the final amount 2 times and Sean called me and confirmed it was $4,500. I asked Brenden to write it on the bill that the final balance is $4,500 and signed it and I signed it as well. The father, Bill, started screaming and I received 1 phone call on a voicemail from Bill Salee threatening to come back to my house and take the equipment and I had to call the police department to file a police incident report. During the time, the police was here, the owner called and the Suffolk County officer from the 4th Prison Ct told me to pick up the phone. He made up a story that my money order bounced for $1000 due to insufficient funds and that cannot be because I purchased the money order in cash which does not bounce. I was earnest and honest in my transactions. Due to a thug mentality and putting me in fear for my life, my dogs, and disparaging me, I have brought this to the attention of Angie's List and have given a truthful statement. I lost a two year warranty, a service provider, all due to negligence and miscommunication between the owner and his technician, who happens to be his son, Sean. This is their problem to work out, not mine. My final bill states $4500. And the $4500 is in the mail. I would never use East Coast Mechanical Services and this has caused me emotional and psychological damages to be threatened with a thug mentality when I was not only being honest, I was calling to get the estimate promised for the dehumidifier and when it would be installed.

    Greenseal Weatherization
He looked at my heater and said he could do one kind of heating for $5000 or he could do another one that would be more environmentally helpful for $10,000. A friend of a friend recommended him to me. The guy was great. He seems very knowledgeable and very honest. He is a friend of a friend, so I would trust him. His responsiveness was very good. I would use him again in the future.

Manatuck Heating & Air Conditioning Inc
Pre-purchased the $89 AC tune-up here on Angie's List. Within hours, Jose contacted me to schedule the appointment. We had agreed for the following afternoon. He was held up at another job and asked to reschedule. We agreed on noon the following day. He arrived around 2:00 p.m. with his assistant and began peforming the service. I'm not entirely sure what they are looking for during the tune-up as I'm not an HVAC specialist, but the service took about 20-30 minutes total. He informed me that my system was missing about 3 lbs of Freon, which is $50 per pound to re-charge the system. Other than that, he went in the attic and looked over the system. Overall, seems like the system is functioning properly now with no issues. Would use their company again.

Kings Park Heating & A/C Corp

I had a good experience with them. They were outsourced through a big-box store. It was 4 people total performing the installation. It took them 2 full days, 10-12 hours total. The area was very clean when they were done. They did everything really well, including the install, cleaning & clearing out the area. Overall it was a good job.

Absolute Zero Air Conditioning & Heating Inc
My experience with Absolute Zero Air Conditioning & Heating was fantastic. Owner, Kyle, was on site every day and working on all areas of the job. He's hands on and explains the process step by step. Not only keeping me aware of how the job progressed, but educating me as a home owner and customer. I interviewed many companies in my area, and Kyle was one of the few that I could tell was honest and a hard working person. He was also, the ONLY one to go into the attic and examine the scope of work prior to providing me an estimate. This way, there wouldn't be the typical quote on a job and then added billings for items "not included in the estimate" as I have experienced from several others on various improvements. Kyle and his team are punctual, respectful, trustworthy, and an overall joy to be around while they work. The cleanliness of their operation was astounding. When they were done each day, it was like they were never there in the first place. It's refreshing to work with someone and a company that was not trying to sell me what I didn't need. Kyle was the only one to examine all aspects of the system and assure me it could be fixed and that replacement was not necessary. As opposed to all the other typical "salesperson" companies that all called for total replacement. The best part is, the fixed system works better than any house I have been into thus far! The honesty and fair price and hands on work with my new found education and respect for the industry is an experience I will never forget. A repeat call and highly recommended for sure! Thank you Absolute Zero for everything.

    POLAR BEAR AIR
The installation of a rheem central air unit with a heat pump and auxillary heat was perfect. The installers were very professional and neat. I could not believe how well the install went. Jim the owner was fantastic. Great guy and extremely knowledgeable. Will use them again to replace my gas furnace.

    Sam Mechanical
you listed a whole thing that they were suppose to check like filters and stuff. There were two guys and they were down in the basement looking at the thing, maximum 10 minutes. They could have never done all they were suppose to do. They never said anything about the filter nor put one in, didn't take an old one out, nothing. I couldn't believe they came back up and were done. 10 minutes and I am being generous. If you take a filter out you can see it, no filter, nothing. They were down there talking and said it was very high and dangerous. I had someone else come and look at it, he said the flame is normal, no problem don't worry about it. These guys were awful. I am paying a price to get nothing done. How am I suppose to trust when they are only down there 10 minutes. They should do what Angies List says they are going to do. That did not happen.
