We could not be more happy with the service we received from Thomas Pest Service - Jim in the office was wonderful and extremely quick to respond and Brian handled the issue quickly and efficiently and sealed up the vent to prevent any future issues. Catseye Pest Control
Signed a contract with Joe on 2/21/15 for removal of possum from my basement. I was told the job would begin on 2/23/15 with trapping and be done by 2/2/715 - commencing the trapping and performing clean up and patching. The job was not completed until 3/6/15, even with my multiple requests for updates, I fell through the cracks. The first tech assigned to check and bait the traps, Craig, had an attitude about having to come to my home at 4:30pm in the afternoon. That was late in the day for the trappers to be working, apparently, but I was under the impression someone needed to be home when the traps were checked. The timeframe didn't seem to be a problem with Joe or Catseye when I made the initial arrangements. After an unwelcomed display of displeasure from this tech, I promptly called the office and told them they didn't need to wait until 4:30pm any longer to check/bait the traps. I wish I hadn't done that because maybe I would stayed on the radar if I made the techs come when I was home. Each time I received a "update" call from Marissa in the office, I asked when the trapping would wrap up and the patching to be done and I kept being given a new, later date. I also want to mention that during this time, when I was out of town briefly, the baited traps were left unchecked (when I wasn't home) for 4 days! They were checked on Thursday morning and not checked again until Tuesday morning. If there was an animal in there it would of starved to death! Finally, when I asked if the trapping was EVER going to end, Marissa told me it was follow up trapping, which was protocol after the trapping had been completed. My patching had NOT been completed! I guess it finally sank in for the staff and I was finally scheduled for the clean up and patching in 2 days time. When a manager, Mark, came to check what materials were needed for the patching, I was told the job was larger than I was initially told at the time I signed the contract. Mark told me I would receive a phone call from Joe to explain the changes. Never got a call from Joe.
They never caught the possum, but 3 skunks. The possum left on his own.
I made it very clear how unhappy I was with the entire experience and how I had absolutely no confidence in the company
or the work with all that had transpired. All Catseye offered were sorry's. They did nothing to try and make it right.
Essentially, I paid more than $2000.00 to have a small deck enclosed with wood, possum droppings in 2 areas of the basement cleaned up, the hole the possum chewed in my flexible duct work enclosed with "tape" and a few small cracks in my basement filled with was basically the product known as "Great Stuff" and if that wasn't insult enough, I was told the men who completed the work went "above and beyond" in filling those cracks.
Finally, I was told a follow up visit to check the work would be scheduled for one week after the work was completed. This didn't happen for 2 weeks. One last promise of service that wasn't upheld.
I feel I was overcharged and under served.
