Scott attention to detail is pathetic. He put wainscoting pabels in one of my rooms. After 4 months, the panels have separated from the wall. I called and told him about it in July. After two conversations and two unanswered messages, he has not contacted me. It is now late August 2017. While painting the shower tile, I observed him attempting to paint over the tile which was covered in soap scum. He never did anything to prep the tiles for painting. The directions on the paint can he attempted to apply called for a clean surface and sanding the tile with 120 grit. I asked him if he wanted me to clean the tile, his response was "this paint will stick to water" I told him this was unacceptable. He proceeded to do a poor job prepping the surface. While applying stain to newly sanded hardwood floors, Scott never mixed the stain prior to applying. By the time he was finishing the application, the stain was a thick paste, not a liquid. Do not hire this guy, he's all about cutting corners to get the job done.

Wayne arrived with a smile every time which gave me positive reinforcement for the day. I am very pleased with the results & that all jobs were completed within the 2 week estimate. I would definitely recommend Bluestorm Repairs for all jobs I reviewed. I will absolutely hire him again.

    M Johnson Contracting
Master bath renovation completed by the very talented Matt Johnson of M Johnson Contracting. Matt is extremely professional and courteous with amazing attention to detail; he was great to work with right from the very start. Everything was swiftly gutted and replaced; double sink vanity with quartz top, double medicine cabinets, new spa whirlpool jet corner tub. Additional separate shower / toilet room completely renovated as well as a separate large walk-in closet. Impressive repairs to the existing skylight. New spectacular tile floor plus strategically placed wall tile with embedded unique design, all expertly installed. All phases of the job were meticulously laid out in advance and each component exceeded our expectationsthe end result is truly stunning!

Dadah Home Improvements - Building & Remodeling
Jon arrived on time, wore shoe covers when in the house, and was very professional.  He clearly takes pride in his work and enjoys what he does.  We made some last minute changes and added to the work to be done- Jon was fine with that.
After each project, Jon cleaned up and asked us to approve it before moving to the next project.
Everything turned out great! We would definately use him again.

    Brad and crew are outstanding.
This was a major job that included plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and tile work.
Brad was efficient.  We were able to stay elsewhere while the work was being done, and Brad started and finished exactly when he said he would.  There were no delays.  The whole project took about 5 weeks.
As the project progressed we asked for a few more things to be done.  A wall was shortened, some electrical work was done, some lighting was added.  All of this was done without complaint and with minimal cost added.
Payments were scheduled at various points throughout the job.  This worked well for us.
From the start I feel Brad had a good handle on what the job would entail and any problems that might be encountered.  Because of that, we really had no problems at all.  Honestly, I was surprised at how smoothly the remodel went since everybody was so willing to tell me horror stories about their experiences.  No horror story here--just a happy ending!

    Father & Son Home Improvements

Prior to starting, we removed the old vanity and sinks and floor molding. Mark and Don arrived on time and went right to work. Mark kept us informed during the project and completed the project within the estimated time frame. They were also careful to keep the mess at a minimum and the work area neat when they were not there. It was very evident that Mark and Don take pride in their work. A very squeaky floor, a cabinet slightly larger than the space it was to fit into and a wall that was not even close to being level required additional work. Despite these unanticipated challenges, the finished product looked great.

To save some money we painted the bathroom when it was finished. In addition to the project we initially hired Mark to complete, we added some electrical and drywall work that we needed while he was at our house. The additional costs for all the extra work was very reasonable. It was a pleasure working with Mark and Don. Completing our project required plumbing, electrical, carpentry and tiling skills. We would not hesitate to hire Father & Son Home Improvement for our next project. We would also recommend them for the Super Service Award.

I found Dave and his staff to be very accommodating.  They are a busy company, handling many projects and somehow manages to keep them all on schedule!  Dave  and his project manager handle the scheduling, ordering and book keeping themselves - not through a central office.  I imagine this helps keep costs down with less overhead, but also requires the home owner to stay on top of expenses.
I did not encounter any major problems during my project.  I utilized Dave's architect for plans and they required a few revisions which is to be expected but it was quick turnaround time.  Dave made great suggestions along the way and helped us to create a vision for what we wanted.  We did not have all the details in our mind worked out and we relied heavily on Dave's experience.
Dave was accommodating to changes we wanted to make along the way such as adding the roof, adding additional electrical service etc.  This project was scheduled to be completed in time for the holidays and I was often impatient.  Dave however, maintained his professionalism and worked to keep things on track.  He was patient with us when we were stressed, as it is never easy having your house torn up!  He walked us through the process of what to expect and reassured us along the way personally returning texts or messages.
The company utilizes licensed professionals i.e. master carpenter and licensed electricians etc.  (the last project we did the company we used did not we later learned.)  All of the tradesmen we encountered work directly for him (carpenter, sheetrocker, electrician and finisher for trim etc).  The only things subbed out were painter and tile work - both of whom have long history with Dave and did excellent work.  I was very comfortable with all of the workers at my house and found them to be polite and courteous. I also have a large dog who is very curious and all were patient with him following them around etc. at times!
All in all I would not have done anything differently.  I felt confident in Dave's ability to ensure the project was completed in a quality manner and they corrected any details along the way with professionalism.  I was impressed that he sent a cleaning crew over to help me get the house cleaned up for the holidays and even sent a few guys over to help move furniture out when we decided to include refinishing the floors (another suggestion that I was not planning on but glad I took his advice and did it.)
It cam out beautiful and is everything I wanted.  Granted we spent more than we originally planned, but this is due to our add-ons not up-charges from company.  I feel that our house is so much more modern now and we our no longer nervous about our electric.  We hope to have them back to do the screened in  patio room at some point!

    Herbinger Homes

I called Darren Herbinger because a few years back my friend was raving about her builder when she put an addition on her house. She had such good things to say about Darren and his crew throughout her addition, so I got his name and tucked it away in case I ever needed it. (Her addition was to convert a garage to a family room and then add a new garage with a master bedroom suite above it. She was very happy with the experience and the quality of the work done.)

But first, I contacted a relative of mine who is a builder out of state, to get an idea of cost and for questions to ask. When I met with Darren, he gave me an estimate on the spot, even though my addition was not a typical addition. (Another builder that I contacted for a quote told me he could not give me a ballpark price until I paid an architect $2000! I did not want to pay to determine whether it was in my budget!) Darren?s estimate was right on with what my cousin told me he thought the job should cost. As we worked out the details, he was great about trying to keep to our budget.

Darren is a good guy, easy to work with and always returns phone calls as quickly as he can. I had a lot of questions and would always get an answer the same day.

Work started on schedule and stayed on schedule. They were here every day by 8:30. He and his crew are very courteous and respectful - people you feel comfortable with having at your home. I cannot say enough about what a great job they did?. These are really good, skilled, hard working guys. They take pride in their work and make sure all details are done to their customer?s satisfaction. They took extra care with making sure the site was safe since there were children playing nearby.  They made sure to keep the job site clean (picking up nails, vacuuming, promptly removing debris etc) They spend time at the end of every day cleaning up the job site before they leave.  They are also very organized and only have the supplies they currently need on the job site. They took care matching my siding, roofing and interior wood stain colors so that the addition looks like it has always been a part of my house.  We are very happy with our addition?its solid construction and it looks great. My neighbors who have been watching this whole process have been asking for his card... they have seen the quality work and the great work ethic that Darren and his crew have.

Next time I need work done at my house, I am calling Herbinger Construction. I can?t imagine finding anyone better. I have recommended them to my family and my friends.

    Granite and Marble Works Inc
i liked that this is a family owned business and the owners are involved in the day to day operations. mike does the templating and Margaret runs everything else. my salesperson Kathy was very nice and helpful. they have a fantastic selection of granites and the prices are clearly marked making staying within your budget simple. the template to install was exactly 2 weeks which is what they originally said. the installers are very personable and prompt. one of the biggest benefits is that they do repairs for other installs as well as their own so if you have any chips or issues in the future, they come out to fix it. that kind if customer service is hard to come by and gave me comfort to know if i had problems, i had someone to fix them.

    Father & Son Home Improvements

Everything went fantastic.  Mark and Don arrived promptly and went right to work.  They had to take off several layers of tiles and sub flooring the previous owners had installed.  Mark and Don cleaned everything as they went along and installed the new flooring perfectly.  They cleaned up everything before they left for the day.  The came back promptly the following day to grout and do the finish work.  They reattached all the base trim and grouted the floor and cleaned everything better than new.

I would not even consider using anyone else for similar projects.

They are true professionals and excellent workmen.
