Pediatric Care reviews in Clifton Park

    CapitalCare Pediatrics - Clifton Park
I have been pleased overall with the quality of care at Capital Care Pediatrics. I especially love them for the younger kids, though I have found that once my children have reached adolescent age, the communication is not as forthcoming, and I have had a few problems where I thought the practice was sort of driving a wedge between myself and my child. I found this very frustrating that a doctor's office would not do everything to foster a good relationship between parent and child.

They are very good. If we need a sick appointment to get our child in, they are usually able to get them in fairly soon; sometimes the same day. All the providers are pleasant and professional. They work well with kids, which makes sense as they are pediatrics. They have been very good with their on call service. If we have any questions after hours, they are very responsive to that and call us back fairly quickly after we page them. With regard to punctuality, they are very good.

They are just awesome Doctors, their bedside manner is very good, they make you feel comfortable when I have gone on trip. They have so many weird questions for my kids and they are very good. They usually don't keep me in the waiting room any long but the whole visit is usually an hour. The wait is probably not that bad I guess, it's may be 10-15 minutes.

My son is terrified of needles and shots are always a challenge. This time, however, we were taken within 10 minutes of arriving, even though we were late, and the nurse kept him calm and was so fast he didn't have time to panic. Very smooth and drama free - a treat!

They have a developmental pediatrician which is what I was looking for. They are very friendly. They are very in demand so the availability is okay. The bedside manner, communication, and treatment is great. The office environment and staff friendliness is great as well. I will continue to use them in the future.

We have been patients of physicians in this practice for 40 years now. I was a patient of Dr. Glasgow's since birth, and once I had kids there was no question that I'd take them to Capital Care. I have 2 sons, ages 11 and 7.

This office is very well run. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes past my appointment time, and we are always seen within a few minutes of being in the room.

The nursing and physician staff are great with the kids. They spend plenty of time with us each time we are there and will answer any questions that we may have. They are definitely interested in the whole child.

My 11 year old has been urged to answer the doctor's questions himself for year. He also has recently decided that he doesn't want Mom in the room and they are more than happy to see him on his own, then call me in to recap once the exam is done.

As for my 7 year old, he was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 5. Dr. Pascual had seen us many times regarding behavior issues but was hesitant to diagnose him until it was age appropriate. Once he had done so, he walked us through the process that we needed to take with the school district to get him extra services to help him catch up. He also laid out all of our options to help our son deal. He recommended we exhaust our non-medicated options first and recommended counselors for us to use.

When we finally came to the conclusion that it was time for medication, he explained all of the risks associated with it. He recommended we come back every 3 months to check up on how he is doing. He also explained to my son what the medication would do in terms that he could understand (he associated it with glasses - he could see without the glasses, but the glasses make it easier).

At this most recent visit, we reported that my son had completely caught up in school and was at grade level standards with no extra help, he made a point of looking my son in the eyes and telling him that it was all him and not the medication that made him successful.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with this practice.

    Clifton Park Pediatrics
We have just relocated to Clifton Park and needed to find a pediatrician quickly because my two girls both got sick within a few weeks of our move. We established ourselves as patients at Clifton Park Pediatrics with Dr. Turner as our primary (though we've also seen one of the physician's assistants, Cheryl Glick). I couldn't be happier with them. We've been there several times in the last month between one of my girls' well child visits and the two of them being sick, and they've been very good with our kids and very communicative with me. We relocated because my husband took a new job, and when we first went to the practice our insurance plan wasn't up and running yet, and they were extremely helpful in getting everything billed appropriately. They have a separate waiting area for sick kids and well kids, so if you're just there for a well child visit, you don't have people coughing all around your child. Also, every time I've gone I've gotten there a few minutes early and they've taken us right away, so we end up getting out of there well before I expected to.
