  • I have used Beautiful lawns for over 7 years. They are very customer service focused and do a great job. If you need them to come back they will. My lawn is one of the best on my street because it's fertilized at the right time and continually throughout the season. One less thing for me to think about and remember.

  • Peak should be named as bottomless pit. They are the worst company you can ever deal with. Every time you deal with a Peak individual they will surprise you with their level of ignorance and lack of customer focus. I had massive leak in irrigation control valve installed by them. My water bill came out very high. I troubleshooted and showed them. It took them more than a month to reduce the leak. They still have not completely fixed it. They were scheduled to winterize sprinklers but never showed up. Their hydro seeding gave good grass in only 10% of lot; rest was all weeds. I cleared up weeds my self and then over seeded. Bottom line is if you hire Peak as contractor then you are doomed and you yourself are to blame.

  • They improved my lawn so much. I couldn't believe it. I switched to another company for the last season. I didn't realize until after the season was gone, how much better TruGreen was. I will be going back to TruGreen. They did everything that the lawn needed.

  • Their service was horrible. I didn't get the last treatment done. I am going back to the company I used before. 

    I told the manager, who is in New Hampshire, that I wasn't going to pay extra for the items that were outside the basic list. They have a very short list that is for the basic standard service. Anything you want them to do besides the basic service is extra. I questioned them when they gave me their proposal, and I looked at him and said, "What is this"?  He told me that almost everything was included. They wouldn't do anything without charging extra. The pricing would've been okay because I compared it to other companies I have used. They have similar prices to other companies, but everything else that you might want would cost extra. This would then triple the price. 

    They wanted to do one more treatment, but I said no. They came back to do two more treatments, but the whole season had gone by and my grass had gotten real bad. I was very disappointed in them.

  • This company is great. I used a national lawn service company for years and my lawn looked worse and worse as time went on. In only one season, Apex turned things around. I always had nut sedge along the roadway. It is now gone. Weeds are minimal and grass is green and thick. They are reasonably priced, punctual and offer other services, such as soil testing, mole remediation, aeration, and additives that correct deficiencies. No hard sell here either. The same people come every year and they are knowledgeable... no turn over in staff year to year with new people who have a learning curve... or who only look at their job as a summer gig.

  • I was impressed by the meticulous attention to detail, the care taken when moving existing plantings, and the insistence on doing everything exactly "right."  Doug Fall, the supervisor, took time to explain what he was doing and why, and to confirm the location of each planting.  He also  made suggestions about various plants and the locations, but didn't argue if I wanted something different; even if it was difficult to do, he made it work.  He worked with a team of two college-age people who not only worked extremely hard, but had great attitudes, even though the weather was unpleasantly hot and humid.  The work ethic is not dead!  At the end of the day, everything was cleaned up, put away, and neat.  
    Also important to know: Doug was very good about keeping in contact with me, letting me know if they were running late, and so on.
    I am very, very pleased with the results of Doug Fall & team's work.  I have other projects in mind, and this company will be the first and only ones I call.

  • Always punctual no nonsense service. They make suggestions as needed, offer soil tests and other special services such as mole remediation. No hard sales. We have been using them for four years now and our lawn has improved drastically. We are very happy with their service.

  • They are excellent. Their pricing is a little higher than the competition, but it is worth it. They do a good job, and it is  a local business. It is not a franchise. They are very good. We signed up with them for this year's service as well.

  • Caution, Stay Away!  My lawn has steadily gone downhill since I began using TruGreen.  They applied some kind of "tick control" treatment that I didn't order that created multiple brown spots on the lawn.  Treatment also killed two of my shrubs and some perennial plantings.  Impossible to get customer service on the phone.  They are constantly trying to sell additional services.  Very, very bad experience!

  • I called on Thursday, 5/2/13 to set up service.  I was told that I would receive an email early the next week with my service agreement and would also receive a copy of the service agreement in the mail the following week.
    On Friday, 5/10/13 I received an email stating following:
    T hanks for making us your partner in customized lawn care. We're ready to continue your plan, but in keeping with New York law, we need your signed service agreement to allow us to apply weed control, insect control or disease control to help promote a healthy and vigorous landscape. Until we receive your signature, your 2013 plan will consist only of fertilizer and/or other non pesticide applications.
    You should have received a letter from TruGreen that provides a place for you to sign and return to our office. Pleasesign and mail the 2013 service agreement to your TruGreen branch to ensure your lawn gets the help it
    needs to flourish this spring.
    In addition to the mailing, upon request, we can send an electronic version of the Service Agreement. For your convenience, we also accept faxed and scanned signature approval. Feel free to contact us at (518)456-8504 for more information.

     *Please disregard this notice if you've already signed your TruGreen Service Agreement for 2013.
    However, I had not yet received a copy of the service agreement by email or mail, so I called TruGreen on 5/10/13 and the representative told me that I would receive an email with a copy of the service agreement that same day by 5 PM.  I
    also asked that the General Manager, Scott Kirby call me.  I did not receive an email on 5/10/13, so I called again the morning of 5/13/13.  I was told that the person responsible for sending the email on 5/10/13 was out sick that day.  I told the representative that this was understandable, but I should have received a phone call letting me know that I would not receive the email.  The representative guaranteed me that I would receive an email with the service agreement by 3 PM on 5/13/13.  I again asked that the General Manager, Scott Kirby call me, as I had not received a call from him as requested on 5/10/13.
    I did not receive an email with the service agreement by 3 PM as guaranteed, so I called again at 3:15 PM.  The representative guaranteed me that I would receive an email with the service agreement that day.  I asked for the 3rd time that the General
    Manager, Scott Kirby call me.
    By the 4 PM on 5/14/13 I  still had not received an email with the service agreement, so I called a fourth time.  This time I was told that the person responsible for sending the email was out due to a family emergency.  I asked why I did not receive a phone call telling me this and received no answer.  I asked to speak to the General Manager, Scott Kirby and was told that he was not available.  I asked for the 4th time for him to call me.  I also asked to cancel the service and for a refund since TruGreen had not provided me with a service agreement and I no longer trusted them.
    I was transferred to a representative with the billing department to cancel the service.  I was told that it would take up to 2 weeks to receive a refund.  I asked why it would take 2 weeks to get a refund when the charged my card the same day I called (Thursday,
    5/2/13) to set up the service.  The representative told me that our business was completed an hung up on me, before I could ask for a cancellation number.
    TruGreen wanted my $$$$, but not my business (I'm still waiting for them to give me a refund), plus I never received a call from the General Manager, Scott Kirby.  My suggestion is to avoid doing business with TruGreen.
