    Clifton Park Eye Care Associates
Chrissy and Heather are awesome opticians for helping to select eye glasses. I've gotten my glasses there several times. They help me find ones that look good on me and fit well (Its nice to have an opinion! Plus they found which frames had the small bridge size I needed for comfort.) I had a problem with a lens and they sent it back to the manufacturer and quickly had the problem fixed. I plan to go to them again.

    Kansas, Dr. Peter G.
He has been around for forever. He is a specialist. I go to see him because I have had cataracts on both of my eyes. He is actually a surgeon and he is a wonderful doctor. He has been treating me probably since I was in my 20's. His staff is also wonderful.

    Cornea Consultants of Albany
Excellent experience. Both Dr Schultze and Dr. Eden were great. The surgeries on both eyes went very smoothly, I had no pain. Didn't feel a thing with the anesthesia they used, and it didn't make me sick as some anesthesia has. The dr's and their whole staff were very professional, informative, and personable. Everyone made me feel very comfortable about the procedures so I had almost no anxiety about it all. One of the nurses even called me later in the day after each eye surgery to make sure I was doing well and had no problems.
I would recommend this practice and these dr's without hesitation.

    Starr, Dr. Jeff
I saw Dr Nancy Starr. She was punctual, friendly, knowledgeable. The opticians were only fair. Dawn is very friendly and kind of helpful. The other optician - not so much. When I asked her opinion of various frames on me, she kept telling me it was up to me.
Dawn at least got a bunch out for me to look at that she thought I might like, but also wouldn't put herself out as to what looked better or what didn't suit me. I am used to Saratoga Vision Assoc (Dr's Ching and Carson) staff who will suggest styles and tell you what they think suits you or doesn't.
I had a problem with the script - correction for astigmatism I just couldn't get used to, so I had to see Dr Nancy again. She was very knowledgeable and willing to explain what was going on with my eyes, and even came out for a couple minutes when I was working with Dawn, the optician on frames. When I had trouble with one of the pairs of glasses after I picked them up, Dawn really tried to help with my insurance. However, I had to do all the follow up to get it straightened out.
Rest of office staff is ok, but doesn't seem to put themselves out to be overly friendly.

    Dr. Ching
Dr Dale Ching had been my eye dr for at least 15 yrs. He is excellent - takes the time you need, is patient to explain as much as I need (and I tend to be a skeptic). He works very hard to try and solve problems - like when I used to wear contacts and switched brands because they'd come out with one that was better for dry eyes. Also when the QC for a brand I liked dropped, he tried several others to get what I needed to feel comfortable.
The office staff is very knowledgeable. Billing always knows what's going on and handles everything very well. There seem to be many opticians available to assist with choosing frames. They will make suggestions - without trying to up-sell - and will be honest about what suits a person's face and what is not flattering. They also are very patient, helpful and knowledgeable about adjustments.
My partner saw Dr Carson at this practice recently, and he was just as excellent as Dr Ching (who he'd seen previously, but was on vacation when he wanted to be seen). He diagnosed my partner's cataract and had his staff arrange everything with the Cornea Consultants after explaining all about the options. Really top-notch service by all involved.
This year I had to find another optician as Saratoga Vision doesn't take my new insurance. The Dr was good, but the staff was indifferent and not too helpful. I'm considering paying out of pocket to go to Saratoga Vision next year.

The experience was great. I got a whole battery of tests that I needed and I have to go back in September. They were very thorough, the staff was very professional and friendly. They were very punctual and got me in the next day. I called one day, and they told gave me the first available appointment. The doctor explained everything to me.

    Davison Jr, Dr. Edwin A
I was in ER late Friday night experiencing symptoms of retinal detachment. The ER doctor called dr. Davison for consultation and he set me up to come in the first thing on Saturday morning to see whether I needed a treatment or surgery to fix the problem. He did a thorough examination and was very kind through the whole process despite the fact that it was a holiday weekend and he opened up his practice that morning just for me (not even a previous patient of his). Experiencing such dedication and commitment to a patient's well being, I don't see myself going to anyone else from now on.

I came to the office to talk to the physician about performing cataract surgery.....he verified that I needed surgery in both eyes...however, his beside manner left a lot to be not happy that I and quot;blinkedand quot; several times so he had trouble getting drops into my eyes....felt like I was being scolded! Needles to say I went elsewhere for my surgery...

    Sax, Dr. Robert D.
Dr. Robert D. Sax is thorough, he has an excellent reputation, and he's good. I didn't have to wait very long for my appointment, the communication is excellent, and I would definitely go back to see Dr. Sax again in the future.
