    I contacted Neal Carr by his website email and he got back to me in a little over 24 hours. With the fine timing only seen from appliances, my gas furnace stopped producing significant heat on Friday night. As I could wait, Neal scheduled me for first thing Monday morning. I was particularly pleased he made the arrangements by email, as that's easiest for me. He provided the name of the technician; it's nice to know who's coming and I think it shows a well organized business. Antonio Flores was the technician. He arrived within the agreed on time period, was knowledgeable, good natured and patient. He didn't seem to mind me hanging around and saying "what's that?" Antonio spent a little extra time making sure the problem I had was the only problem. He was nice enough to do a little extra cleaning and check the air filter. The diagnosis, repair and cleaning of the furnace was done in a little over an hour. He cleaned up after himself and put things back where he found them. He showed me the bill on his tablet, explained what was done, and sent me a copy while we stood there. He mentioned there were maintenance plans but didn't push. The only thing I would like to see addressed was the unavoidable tracking in of snow. I don't expect that shoes will be taken off, but something that reduces how much is left on the floor where I don't see it until I've stepped on it would be nice. Prime Heating and Air responded quickly, sent out a knowledgeable and pleasant technician, provided a bill easy to understand, and the technician did a little extra to fix the problem and check for other problems. I would definitely hire them again.

    My furnace is apparently enamored of Prime, as it did the same thing as last month: clog up something important that panicked the burner into immediately turning itself off only seconds after turning itself on. This was not an emergency but I still got an appointment within a couple of days. Duane came out and brought with him everything he needed. He was on time, recognized the problem, and was patient with me standing around and asking questions. After fixing the furnace so when it turned on it actually stayed on, he inspected more of the pipe that leads away from the furnace. He found a couple of rust spots, discovered the roof vent didn't have a cap and was letting in moisture, and explained why these things were clogging up the safety thing. Later, he sent an easily understandable repair estimate that included everything; no surprise additional payments. I like all inclusive bills as I know what a repair will cost and don't have to try and budget for end work fees. My only suggestion is a professional badge with picture and company name be considered. The architect who designed these townhouses apparently felt the only thing a resident wanted to see through the front door is the front lawn; vehicles pulled up to the garage can't be seen. Answering the door to a stranger is worrisome.

    The furnace tune up was excellent; and this was the 2nd visit, from last year's work for tune up of the air conditioning system, & they did a good job before, that is why i hired them again this year.

    Tech. arrived on time, was clean, neat and professional. He methodically checked out the 15yr. old system. Upon finding the problem, he repaired and replaced components. Then re-charged and ran the system to be sure it was cooling to my satisfation. He thoroughly explained the process in easy to understand terms.

    I contacted Jason on Saturday via his website, he responded within an hour. I described the work that needed to be completed and he gave me an estimate that same day. I gave him my availability and he was out to the house by 3:00 on Tuesday afternoon. He was punctual, he assessed what materials were needed, told me he would return in 45 minutes, which he did. It took Jason approximately an hour to complete the job. He was thorough, professional, polite and made sure the area was cleaned up before he left. I would highly recommend JD Marx to anyone seeking HVAC services.

    Jason came out and immediatley diagnosed the issues as always.  We have used his services multiple times and have referred him to over 20 different others and have gotten only positive feedback from them as well.  He is reasonable with price and knowledgeable about his craft.

    I had an original appointment scheduled for 3:30 in the afternoon on a Friday.  I had to leave work early to make this appointment. At 3:06 the technician called to cancel this appointment!  I never heard the phone ring so it went to voice mail.  I was already on my way home at this point.  
    I called the office and rescheduled for the following week.  Technician showed up a little early and was ready to work.  He did not know why he was there and had to ask me what service he was there to perform and about how I was paying.  (I had prepaid with Angie's List.)  
    The exhaust vent was temporarily blocked with snow (due to wind gusts) and he volunteered to go unblock it for me, requiring him to walk in knee-deep snow.  I really appreciated that.
    As for the service, I can not say what actually took place as he was in the basement.  From start to finish the technician was here for less than thirty minutes.  When I originally called to make the appointment I was told it would take between an hour and an hour and a half, depending on how dirty the furnace was.  It is a 12-year furnace that has never been serviced, to my knowledge.
    The technician did say that our system was very straightforward and not complicated. It is possible that the work was performed exactly as paid for, but I feel like I wasted my money.  That is not a good feeling.
    I was interested in having a whole-house humidifier installed by them, but after the first appointment being canceled 24 minutes before the appointment time and having a tune-up cleaning that was done in mere minutes, I will not be using them in the future.

    During the deep freeze of 2014 CNY winter, our 42 year old Bryant furnace finally died on a Sunday evening. Having used JD Marx in the fall to inspect the furnace, per our home inspectors recommendation, I called Jason and he walked me through trying to re-fire the burner. Having already planned to replace the furnace in our first year of owning the house, we asked Jason to write us up a quote for a replacement unit, and humidifier. Jason promptly had us a quote with three Carrier options (comfort, performance, and infinity series), along with descriptions of each, labor descriptions, warranty information, and his work profile. Additionally Jason explained payment and financing options that were available for this type of installation. We made a decision that evening, used space heaters to keep the house warm overnight, and Jason and his assistant were at the house for the replacement first thing the next morning. Installation was done professionally, providing insight to myself during the process, and even went above and beyond his duties, and installed our recently purchased Nest 'smart' Thermostat for free. Estimated time on the install was 4-5 hours, and all debris from the retrofit were removed upon completion. Jason even fielded questions via email and text after the installation, on setting up our thermostat settings. We will be recommending and using his services again in the future.
