    Seneca chiropractic and family wellness
My late father chose Dr. David Isabella for his chiropractic treatment that during the last year of his life my Dad said was NOT reducing his pain. Still, since I have made use of every conceivable more natural treatment including chiropractic, I encouraged my Dad to continue regular treatments with this chiropractor of his choice. When my Dad died, I offered to pay for any remaining balance due from unpaid co-pays or other due Dr. Isabella and/or Seneca Chiropractic if they would send a remaining bill. They never did. More than a year later, I was severely injured in a car accident and found myself stranded at my dead Father's former home to recover enough to function. I began treatment with billing to the auto insurer. Several weeks later, I learned the out-of-state auto insurer had denied the claim. I stopped treatment because I could not afford to pay otherwise. I owed $210 for 4 visits. Months later, after retaining an attorney to force the insurer to pay for covered medical treatments, I scheduled a new appointment after trying to ask about terms for payment of my existing and new balances. First, I was told that to talk about the balance, I needed to ONLY speak to Dr. Dave Isabella, and that to do this I MUST have an appointment for which I would be billed. I agreed, but then decided to cancel until I could discuss past billing WITHOUT being billed for a new visit that might result in me choosing to not continue with a treatment that day, owing $40 just to be able to DISCUSS the past balance due. Next, after being told I could pay a part payment monthly while continuing new sessions, I scheduled a new appointment. The day of that first new appointment in 5 months, on the way to the office, I was delayed a couple minutes getting the money I intended to pay toward my balance. I arrived 7-8 minutes late, at about 11:07-11:08 for an 11:00 appointment. When I walked in the Camillus lobby of the Seneca Chiropractic office, Dr. Isabella was talking with a patient at the counter. This discussion with the other patient went on for about 3 minutes, ending at about 11:11. Then Dr. Isabella told me that I was late and he had to reschedule the 11:00 appointment, claiming that the policy was that if I was more than 7 minutes late, he had to reschedule. The doctor, rudely failed to recognize the obvious nature of the delay beyond the lateness he had suddenly newly claimed was the maximum allowed 7 minutes, had been increased by 50% and the entire wait beyond the new "policy" of forcibly rescheduling if more than SEVEN minutes late was the fault of the doctor delaying my intake by his ongoing discussion with the previous patient. For all the years I helped my late Dad drive to Seneca Chiropractic, when his ability to walk and drive varied tremendously and on occasion he would be late, I had learned that the office policy was to reschedule patients who were more than 15 minutes late. No one in YEARS of being treated in this office ever mentioned, alluded to, nor suggested some strange policy regarding "7 minutes". It appears to have been newly fabricated by Isabella on-the-fly to harass and irritate me while denying me the help of a continued treatment. I have never had any session with this doctor take 15 minutes of his time as he claims is the time allotted for each visit. When in disbelief I asked if he was serious if he was going to force me to reschedule because he himself had caused a 50% greater delay and this nit picking was all over the difference between 7 and 10 minutes, Isabella became even more unreasonable. I left and was back in my car driving away at 11:11 and decided that I do not trust doctors who act this abusively. I began searching for a new responsible replacement chiropractor; I am in a lot of pain and needed treatment right then; it sometimes takes weeks for an initial visit with any practitioner, this delay caused by Isabella already. I called and asked for copies of my medical records to transfer ASAP. Isabella again began to argue, claiming the right to charge for the records despite me being unable to afford them, but ALSO DEMANDING I FIRST PAY THE ENTIRE PREVIOUS BALANCE BEFORE HE WOULD RELEASE THE RECORDS, a violation of federal and state law, as well an a continued harassment of a patient who was in pain. Don't start or continue treatments with a dishonest rude doctor or his co-worker chiropractors, with marginal treatment skills at best, who it's more important to nit pick about being 1 minute later than he claims and is willing also to violate the law to even more greatly physically hurt a patient. It will be weeks before I can even attempt to start to reduce my pain with a new DC.

    Pirro-Lombardi, Dr. Elaina A.
Elaina is WONDERFUL.  It took several visits and trying different things in between the visits, but I can honestly say my back feels better than it has in a long time --- and that is because of Elaina's care and concern.  Elaina didn't do the same thing every time I saw her, but tried a variety of manipulations.  She REALLY listened to me, and tailored treatment that day to how I was felling - that day!  I now go for maintenance, and wouldn't miss a session!

    Lafave, Dr. Megan
She is very pleasant. Being a nurse, when it come to chiropractors a lot of them think they can cure everything and she is not from that school. She is located within a pain clinic and she also got MDs all around her as well. So she has to be pretty much at the same mind as them. None of the voodoo is in practice.

    Cunningham, Dr. George C.
I needed relief! My neck was so messed up. The and quot;regularand quot; doctors took xrays and gave me pain medicine, but we had to wait for insurance to approve my MRI, and I could not wait anymore. I went to Cunningham Chiro and in two visits, I felt human again! My MRI showed disk herniation and cervical instability. The orthopedic surgeon said he was going to recommend surgery, but could not believe how well I was doing. Dr. Cunningham saved me from surgery!

    Goettsch, Dr. Carrie
Dr. Goettsch is an amazing chiropractor. If you have pain, unless you have some extraordinarily bad chronic condition (e.g., you need back surgery), she is going to be able to help you--without surgery or drugs. I've enjoyed charting her growth as a practitioner over the years. Always excellent and talented, but ever-improving; she stays current with new trends and information, and often has insights about nutrition, exercise and other pro-active actions that one can take to stay healthy--and stay out of the doctor's office. I've seen and met so many fellow clients of hers over the years--many very intelligent and accomplished people--and they all come back for a reason: you get great care at Brighton Hill Chiropractic. She also mentors new D.C.s, so there are options to see the second or third doctor on staff. Each of them has something unique to offer, and they're always good. Personally, I tend to gravitate toward continuing to see Dr. Goettsch, but the other docs are very good as well. I've had a few sports accidents, as well as getting hit (in a car) from behind two times. The sooner I get adjusted by Dr. Goettsch, the quicker (and more thoroughly) I heal. Highly recommended!

    Schiffman, Dr. Alan L
Over four years ago, I took a terrible fall while on vacation. For two weeks, because of the constant back pain, I was unable to get out of bed, except to go to an emergency care facility, where I was only prescribed pain medication. I finally decided to seek out chiropractic care, something I had never done, and made an appointment with Dr. Alan Schiffman. He works in a highly professional, efficient and caring manner, and goes the extra mile to insure the well-being of his patients. He never overbooks his schedule, so I rarely have to wait. He has even called me to check in on my condition; a testimony to his concern for his patients' welfare. I am now 89 years old, and I recommend Dr. Alan to anyone seeking the kind of care and compassion we all deserve!
