    Allergy/Immunology/Rheumatology
I was impressed with the doctor's thoroughness, caring attitude, and the fact that she listened to EVERYTHING I had to say. She actually cared! She didn't "rush" me out of the office which was also a plus! She took her time with me, talked to me. I just love her! I would highly recommend this doctor if you have allergy issues or immune issues. She knows her stuff!

    John Karpie Md
Fractured my left ankle last summer and went to St. Joe's Hospital..   They took an x-ray and I had a fracture that needed surgery.  I was referred to John Karpie MD at Buffalo Orthopedics.    He was very nice and knew what he was doing.  I needed to go to surgery that night to have the ankle put into place and surgery about a week later to have a plate and screws put in to fix the break.   I am a diabetic so this was a problem for me.   Dr. Karpie did a great job in putting  my ankle together and then referred me to physical therapy.    He is very caring and is very prompt with his appointments.   He is now treating me for trigger finger and the cortisone injection helped a lot.   He did a great job with the surgery and I am happy to be walking again.  Office staff is wonderful too.

The doctors are very nice and talk to you with respect. The nurses on the other hand are extremely rude. I have been a patient for over 10 years and never had a problem. I have a life threatening health problem and had a minor issue refilling a script. The nurses messed up my refill. I did not complain but the nurses called me ready to argue. They have never gave me any problems in the past. I was so surprised. It was so obvious they wanted me to say something to curse me out. Maybe they got in trouble for my medication mix up but i didn't turn them in for it because I thought of them as very nice people. They called me VERY rude and was huffing on the phone about ANY issue they could think of. In the end they got me. They got my doctor to lower medications I had no problem with but now do. I am afraid to call to get it changed back. I would like to stay at this office and get along with them but i do not think this is the end. I would like to talk to the doctor personally but the nurses will probably call instead. In the end i think i will go some where else but will miss my great doctor.

Nurses are EXTREMELY adversarial. AVOID at ALL COSTS!!! Don't say I didn't warn you...

    Kozinn, Dr. Marc J
Overall it went as I expected.  Since it was an afternoon appointment I expected to wait and wait I did.  I didn't wait long before I the nurse brought me to the room and took my weight, blood pressure, etc.  After she was done, however, I waited a long time for the doctor to come into the room (maybe 30 minutes).  Once he came in, he looked me over and asked me some basic questions, which took about 2 minutes.  Then I went back out to the lobby where I basically waited for the doctor to complete his notes on my visit, get my scripts and check out.

I must say I do not like the reception area where you notify them you are there for the appointment.  They are usually busy, hardly look at you and make you sign a paper each time you are there (so much for saving the trees) and the process takes about 5 minutes.
On time as usually Juliet came and got me from the lobby and we proceeded to her office.  Her office, which is smaller and basic is made welcoming by here little touches which allows you to feel as relaxed as you can be.  Immediately she starts talking to me and for whatever reason she has a way about her that allows me open up and let her know what is going on and why.  She asks good questions and helps you begin to work on solving your issues.  She provides valid advice and makes good recommendations.  At the end of your session, she will schedule your next appointment.

    Santasiero, Dr. Ronald P.
It went very well as always. We are trying to find a better solution or choices for alleviating my pain which is not easy since it's been so long and the condition doesn't really improve. But he is diligent and I would recommend him and his office for pain management and primary care.

I have been dealing with alot of intense pain and he is trying to find some medication to lessen my pain and make it so I can live my life easier. It's not easy when it's chronic pain and going to be cured. He at least wants me to be more comfortable. It's a battle but he's there when I need him.

    Nora Meaney-Elman MD
Dr. Elman is fantastic- very thorough and accurate. The problem is that it is often very difficult to get a routine appointment. She seems to take many weeks off, and then overbooks appointments. The wait times in the office are generally excessive (1 1/2-2 hours). Office hours are very limited- she does not have early morning or any evening hours at all. If you call sick and she is out of town, you will generally be advised to go to Urgent Care, which I feel is inappropriate.

    Hamburg OB/GYN Group
I had been on the depo for three years and my last ob/gyn who had closed down said the longer I was on the depo the greater chance for infertility. So I went here to get on the pill. I didn't have any trouble. The Nurse Practitioner I had my appointment with said that I could stay on the depo with no risk, which made me a little uneasy. She gave me her favorite pill and off I was. The only thing I did not like about my visit was that there were no female gynecologists at this location. Only female nurse practitioners.

    Ob./Gyn. Associates Of Wny
She is a no-nonsense doctor and I very much respect her bedside manner. She's not pushy and she respected my opinions/wishes while giving me the best options for the health and well-being of my child and me. I would (and do) recommend her to everyone I know.
