    Energsmart Insulation
We hired Energsmart Insulations to insulate 2 sides of our house because of some rather loud neighbors. Their price was very reasonable, they even bumped our project date ahead of their schedule because of how loud they were. Once they started the project they found that all of our plywood between the siding and studs were beyond rotted. They even showed my wife and I that some of the siding was not even nailed to anything because of how bad the rot was. They could of easily just injected the insulation under the rotted plywood but they told us they do not feel comfortable doing that because it would all torn our when we reside. We decided not to do the installation because of the unforeseen rotting issues and I really appreciated their honestly. They could of just did the work, put the siding back on and we would never have known the extend of the problem. Once we get our house resided I would definitely go with this company to insulation our home.

    Town Insulation
I have an appointment for him to come this year. I only use him once a year. About this time of year I call him. I have a double and some of my windows are giant windows. Some of the windows are screen so he does not do all the window. He is very reasonable that's why I call him. He only lives around the corner from me so I don't know if that's the reason but I am not questioning it. He is very nice. I call him and make an appointment because sometimes he is very busy. When I call him I ask if he can come within a week. But if he is not easy he will come within 2 or 3 days. This time I waited a week which I do not care. Price is reasonable. He knows what he is doing. He has to use a ladder. I leave him a message and some times I have to wait a day for him to call me back but I know he will call me back. He comes very early like 8 in the morning. It is always very early in the morning. He is very nice, very nice. I have been using him for years. He use to be cheaper but I do not complain. I am very happy with him that is why I call him every year.

    Town Insulation
Town Insulation came in on time, inspected and then gave me a quote. Everything was fine. It was really good, it's just that I decided to sell the house instead so I didn't move forward with it. I didn't have any issues with them. I think the price was standard. They were very responsive.

The project went EXCELLENT !! I work for a contracting company and deal with all kinds of companies on a daily basis ,needles to say some Great, some not so . I met with Tim Russell and reviewed the drawings with all of our wish lists. Tim estimated the project and came up with a proposal. The proposal has a associated cost which you are reimbursed for if you move forward with the project, I thought that was a great idea since estimating takes time and you will find out by working with Russell Renovations  he did not do his estimating on a bar napkin . The guy really knows what he's doing and is fair. He can direct you on items your not familiar  with help you avoid wrong choices . The project was anticipated being around 6-8 weeks which he actually beat even when we added items as the project was underway. He also will work with you if you choose to perform some of the work yourself . Our experience was great and we look forward to working with the Russell Renovations in the future.

    Prime Time Energy Services
The whole experience was great, from the girls in the office to the work being done in my home. The crew that came to my home were wonderful although I did try and stay out of their way I was nosey. They were very professional and did what they came to do and cleaned up after them selves it was like they weren't even there!! Now I had this insulation done in the summer but I am telling you I feel the difference already my home stays cooler in the beating sun which is great because I don't have a A/C. I can not waitt ill winter and not having to use my furnace like I did last year and with a large family like mine I need to save every penny I can. GREAT JOB PRIME TIME!!

I spoke with Dmitry and by providing a few photographs he was able to help me discern if I needed to replace my roof or not, and direct me to the right service providers. As a new homeowner I am still learning what things need to be maintained and what needs to be replaced.
After the hard winter, we had a leak in our enclosed porch, and were afraid we'd need to replace the whole roof. He was able to reassure me that the roof is not the problem, that while we could CHOOSE to replace it to make it more modern and different, we likely had an insulation problem and referred me to the right person to resolve that instead of needlessly giving me a quote and wasting my money or time!
I"M SO THANKFUL for honest professionals! We had three other construction roofers give us massive quotes and scare us to believe that we'd be damaging our home if we didnt tear off and replace the whole thing. Instead they were just taking advantage of our inexperience.
I will ABSOLUTELY call Dmitiry again in the future and plan to hire him when we do need assistance. Strongly recommend him!

    Energsmart Insulation
They did not perform the job within the 30-day time frame set forth in the contract.  I mention that because when an issue arose about the worked performed  they were quick to point to the contract terms to try to defend themselves, even though they paid no attention to the time limits in the contract.  Apparently they view the contract as a one-way street for their benefit.
After the job was completed the onsite person told me they did their best to blow insulation under, around, and over "piles of wood" they found in the attic and the boards spanning the joist as a walkway.  No mention was made by the person who did the estimate of any piles of wood.  Had I known it existed, I either would have paid them or someone else to remove it.  I also expected them to remove anything else that obstructed the installation of the insulation, or at least tell me what needed to be remove so that a proper job could be done. Their defense was that the contract made no mention of removing anything from the attic.  I think that is like a painter bidding a job to paint a peeling house then just painting over the peeling paint because the contract said nothing about removing peeling paint.
The attic looks like a mountainou landscape because they blew the insulation over the wood piles (which they told me after the job was done were bundled lath about 4 feet long by 1 foot high by 1 foot wide).  I never would have paid to have insulation blown over that stuff, just as I never would pay to have paint put over peeling paint.  Sure, they went through the motions of putting insulation in my attic, but it is worthless to me.  I'd rather have paid twice as much to have it done correctly.  I think they didn't mention the existence of the piles of wood to low ball their estimate.  Had they said "it will cost $XXXX to remove the stuff in the attic before we insulate" they might not have been the lowest bidder.
I believe I had every right to expect them to do whatever was necessary to perform the job correctly, and if that meant removing the piles of wood then the fact that the contract fails to mention it is meaning less.  They examined the attic before bidding on the job and they knew I had never been up in the attic.  The contract also doesn't mention that they won't burn down my house in the performance of the job but I have every right to believe that they won't burn down my house.  So the fact that the contract doesn't mention something necessary to properly perform the work is  no defense.
Two other minor items also happened that I might ignore had it not been for the first problem I had with their work.  One of the workers used the "F" word toward the other worker because he was on his cell phone and wasn't keeping up with his end of the work to be performed.  That was not a problem for me, but when I raised my voice when they told me they had not removed the piles of wood, that same worker took offense. Maybe he had decided to join a convent between the time he was yelling at his co-worker and the time I expressed my dissatisfaction with the job.
More importantly, however, he had asked to use a second plug in my basement because they needed two separate lines to run the blower to keep from tripping the circuit breakers.  I showed him a second plug he could use.  Near the end of the job I noticed that he was not using the plug in the basement but instead had plugged the cord into an outlet on my kitchen counter running the cord across a cutting board on the kitchen counter without asking permission (and thus contaminating the cutting board.)
Later that evening I discovered (or more accurately the electrician I paid $65 discovered) why he had used the kitchen outlet.  His blower had tripped the circuit in the basement.  Because the circuit breaker panel was opened, I suspect he tried to reset the breaker.  Unfortunately, that did not restore power to the plug he was using because it is also on a circuit breaker box for the emergency generator.  Even more unfortunate is that another plug on that circuit is used for my basement freezer.  Fortunately my electrician was able to resolve the problem before I lost the frozen food.
Had he asked to use another plug because he lost power to the one in the basement I would have known about the issue and been able to get it immediately resolved.  If I had not happen to discover the problem that very evening, the food in the freezer might have spoiled before I did discover the problem he had caused but failed to mention to me.  I also would not have allowed him to run a filthy extension cord over the cutting board on my kitchen counter. There was an easily accessible wall plug in the hallway he could have used had he just asked.  I suspect he didn't ask because he didn't want to have to tell me he had somehow put the basement plug out of commission.

    Frank's Dr. Energy Saver
The hardest part was receiving a call back as to when they would start. It took a couple of weeks. The gentlemen were extremely polite and even offered to come back to start the pilot light on my old furnace until they could install my new one. They came when expected, did what they were supposed to do and worked very hard.My only complaint was that they left some ash footsteps from my old furnace but that was not a big concern. The furnace came with a great guarantee (I forgot just what it was) I think at least ten years they will repair free of charge if anything goes wrong. Probably on the high end of the price scale but excellent workmanship and service. I would call them again.

Arrival was 7mins. late - acceptable time estimate.

Informed by crew member, Mike, that due to auto accident previous day they did not have a large enough truck to deliver the full 70 bags of cellulose required for the job, only 50 bags inalternate truck.

Crew would have to return on Tuesday morning to complete job - ~1hr. time frame.

Called Crew Mgr., John, and asked if they had another truck to deliver the remaining 20 bags.

He was at a meeting and said he would follow-up with a reply after meeting.

Did not receive a phone call but instead, John and an extra crew member pulled up in driveway at ~ 1:30pm in a pickup truck loaded with the remaining 20 bags of cellulose.

I was so pleased and grateful I would not have to take another day off from work.

John and another crew member unloaded from one truck to the other and he still had to drive to Baltimore in the cold and rainy weather. I extended my deep appreciation for his efforts in making it a one day job.

Mike and Aaron cleaned up worksite and it was as clean as I left it.

The guys arrived at 9:07 and done by 4pm.

Would highly recommend enerGsmart to anyone needing insulation work.

Very pleased with the price when setting up agreement with Bob Dionne, especially when I decided to change from 12and quot; to 14and quot; of insulation.

Bob emailed me the contract and work agreement and I faxed back and we were good to go with work to begin on a scheduled day off I had 10days later (5/24/13).

Thanks enerGsmart staff - I will call you back to complete basement foam insulation in the future.
