I recently had them service my boiler furnace and was pleased with the service and response. I am a person who believes that good work deserves appreciation and like to share the experience.     Excessive charges for a $17 part to be replaced; contacted manager about the bill I was given. Gave excuses about his high insurance costs, that $95 is charged and time is calculated from when the worker leaves HIS house; told me cost of gas from worker's house to mine was $12 (I did not live more than 4 miles from the worker's home); claimed he gave me a one hour discount and charged me for the almost 45 minutes was gone to get the part. Worker initially told me he had the part on his truck--was outside in the truck on the phone for about 10 minutes then came back in and told me he didn't have the part; would have to go and get it. The manager also stated that he was at the parts store with the worker; worker stated he had to stand in line a long time at the parts store; Mr. Klinker then said he might have had to go to Tonawanda NY to get the $17 part. Worker left a lot of dust on my floor and didn't clean it up; asked me for a paper clip so he could clean the port on one of the switches; problem was diagnosed within 10 minutes and an hour was wasted for the time worker was in truck on the phone, going to get the part, and was downstairs for a long time after getting the part. Switch was right in the front of the furnace which was not too cumbersome for him to replace the part. It was so obvious that I was duped. When I called and asked to speak to Mr. Klinker I was told he was unavailable. 3 minutes later he called my cell phone...after his talking about his high overhead issues I terminated the call. Then he left a message on my home answering machine with the same info of "insurance costs; high cost of trucks/maintenance/ etc." and said....I'm sorry Kathy. THERE WAS NO WAY A DISCOUNT WAS GIVEN TO ME...They are a rip off for real and Mr. KIinker was very uncomfortable talking to me about the breakdown of the bill...NEVER WILL RECOMMEND OR USE THEM AGAIN.

Mitch and the other installers were professional, polite, clean and timely.The upstairs unit furnace is in a very cramped location and the guys got the AC in with minimal disruption. Rick, the owner, followed up on the install and a couple of minor issues were fixed in about 1/2 hour by Andy. I'd definitely recommend this group.7000

He was not in a hurry to finish my job so he could rush of to another, as I know some workers are forced to do so by their bosses. The cost was very reasonable for the work they performed.     Scheduled appointment for 9 AM company called to say I wouldn't have the individual I requested for the installation and that [they] wouldn't be coming until 3-5PM same afternoon. Emerald gouged me on the price for a basic furnace. I asked for the old style furnace that did not have to be vented out my basement wall so got the 85% efficiency furnace. The price was $2300 for a furnace to accommodate a 1,000 square foot house. 3 of my friends had furnace replacements -- 1 got a top of the line Lennox and paid $1900.00 and the other got a Rheem for $1800.00 Needless to say I was angry. I wrote to the owner about the cost and NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE....I belong to a lot of groups and make it a point to let everyone I know about how they overcharged me;

We made an appointment, they called before they arrived���on time���and did the work in less time than estimated. They were efficient, friendly but professional, showed me how to set and maintain the humidifier, AND they cleaned up after themselves. Very pleased with everything!

    John was very thorough and detailed in his inspection and tune-up of my furnace. I had been experiencing some very sporadic issues with the furnace firing on. Initially I had replaced the thermostat as I had wanted to upgrade anyway. This did not solve the problem so John looked the furnace over and cleaned up a lighting element that appeared to solve the issue. There have been no issues since and the furnace was otherwise deemed to be in top shape. Being someone who is always trying to learn more about home improvement and maintenance, I watched John work and he explained pretty much everything he was doing and the purpose behind it. While I���m not expecting to come away with this knowledge so I can do it myself in the future, it���s at least helpful to know what troubleshooting measures were performed and what possible problem areas were found so I can have some peace of mind. John was more than happy to go through everything with me and the service he performed at the rate he charges simply cannot be beaten by any other company out there right now. John even went as far as to check some things out with my AC even though that was not the purpose of my service call to him. I know I will for sure be coming back to him for all my HVAC needs. For me, first impressions are huge and I am very happy I had John over to my house for this work. Thanks John!
