ADon's Handyman LLCI used Don at my previous home so when I moved and needed some repairs and renovations done, I knew he was the right person to call. He has done numerous jobs for me in my new home including gutting my kitchen and installing brand new cabinets with crown molding, replacing old ceiling fans, repairing a leaking tub, repairing and finishing vinyl plank flooring that was poorly done by another contractor and replacing faucets and toilets. Don is punctual and professional but above all else the work that he does is top notch.- Phil F.

ACheck It Off Home ServicesJesse is my go-to when I need something done that is beyond my mental or physical capacity. He has changed several ceiling fans and light fixtures in my 1906 home and has fixed multiple scary wiring situations within my walls. He has a flexible schedule and has come over to fix emergency plumbing issues too (taught me not to use those toilet cleaning tabs as they can clog your toilet in a pretty commical way). Jesse will tell you the issues and his recommendations with no games. He's also saved me a ton of money on a stove ignition issue, fixed my convection oven, and even wired all my basement lights to a single switch so I no longer have to go around pulling individual chains. FHe gave me the price for the insta on the floor in the dining room $ 600. he was supposed to email me or text me the cost for the bathroom and the drywall in the kitchen and never heard back from him. I hired a contractor back in August I gave him money for the materials and a quarter of the money down every day he promised me he was coming he ripped my bathroom out I have all the materials kept promising me promising me my house was supposed to be sold in December I'm disabled which makes it even worse it's just been a nightmare for me he was supposed to repair some shingles on my roof I lost my homeowners insurance so I have to find someone within the next 10 days for them to reinstate it. if the guy didn't want the job he should have just told me when he was here I wanted two separate prices one for the bathroom tough complete it which I already had materials and then the dining room floor because I wanted to make sure that I had enough money put away to pay him for the labor now I don't even know what to do

CThe online reviews and the sales pitch were outstanding. When it came to actually doing the work, the biggest failure was the lack of communication between the design department and the project manager and the onsite carpenter. I ended up paying a lot of money and not being satisfied with the end product. The project manager blew me off and minimized my concerns and then claimed he didn't. My husband is still replacing (2 months later) baseboard and door and window casing that they were going to charge us $90/hour to refit and replace. They also installed a washer and dryer and didn't take out the shipping struts. Luckily my husband guessed that they didn't do it, so our expensive washer was not ruined. I have to pay to have the shower floor replaced, but I can't afford to do it at the moment. They claim it's the materials I chose, but I think it's the way it was installed. I dread getting into my shower now... I reached out to them to detail my experience and they said they were sorry, but didn't take any responsibility, and they didn't offer to fix it. Oh well.

AFinished result is wonderful and we are very happy with the work performed. Toly and his team worked quickly and were honest and reliable. He coordinated with a few other contractors well (we hired separate electric and HVAC contractors). He took reasonable care to protect the carpet and walls while carrying materials into the house, and kept us updated with progress. We left town for a week and his team continued to work on their own - there were no issues. There was a hiccup in the permitting process which was due to them not being as familiar our town's restrictive system, but apart from a few weeks of delay was not a big issue. Once we had all the proper permits, the work proceeded smoothly. There were no surprises in terms of costs, and what was initially quoted was the final cost of the project (not counting a change we added midway through the process, replacing a window). His prices are very reasonable. He also went above and beyond helping us remove an old countertop that the countertop company refused to remove, and hooking up the plumbing after they installed the new countertop. During the permitting process we found out that we would need a larger window in the room to meet light and vent requirements. We ordered a custom floor to ceiling casement window from Andersen, and Toly and his crew (he brought in a few extra people for this one job) had no problem removing the old window and installing this extremely heavy window for us.

AI am blown away by the beautiful job Petar did - he and his assistant Bill removed a large area of plaster from the ceiling and replaced it with drywall, plastered all the multiple cracks and broken plaster on the walls, and sanded everything on the first day. Although we had not arranged for it, Petar insisted on priming and then painting the whole stairwell on day 2; he insisted he would not take any extra money for the extra work he performed........... but I could not agree to that so I told him he could consider the extra payment a Christmas gift!
