Garage Building reviews in Cheektowaga

Work began in April 2017. The old garage was demolished and then a new garage was built. I was told that there would be hairline cracks on my driveway from the equipment they would be using. That turned out to be true except one block of concrete had more than hairline cracks, it was seriously cracked. Shortly after the garage was completed a hairline crack almost across the width of the garage floor developed (see pictures). When I questioned Ed, the owner, he told me nothing could be done about either damage. Now it is December, 6 months after the garage was completed and a piece of siding came off the garage (see picture). On December 8th I called and requested that someone come out to replace the siding. No one answered my request. I eventually put the piece of siding back up as best I could but I was unable to secure it. On December 19th I sent an email to complain and ask that someone come and secure the siding. Now it is December 28th and I have not heard from anyone from Atlantic Garages.

    Sun Enterprises
Hired Sun Enterprises last year 2016 during the Aug fair promotion...I was told by Greg **** the salesmen that i would be the first one to get the shed built as soon as the fair was over...needless to the salesmen who owned Funk Outdoor Enterprises, poured the pad( acting as a separate entity) , in early Sept. He told me to put off the landscaping so as the builders wouldn't disturb anything. So after a couple of weeks and numerous calls to the company, and complaining, they finally sent a crew out in the second + week of November .In talking with the crew they said they normally dont do sheds, mostly barns. I thought the crew did a good job until i took a much closer look and moved things around. The back wall was 3/4 of an inch off the pad because they never nailed it down. They nailed down the ends but forgot the middle and because the wood was bowed so bad, it left a huge gap, that i had to cover from the outside so no snow, etc would get in. Also noticed the window boxes were cracked, probably last of the pile they had to choose from. Over the winter , 1/4 of the shingles came off. I called in the spring to have Sun( talked to Keith, think he is the owner) to come out and fix them and remove an old shed. At that time ( Memorial Day)I was told he would order new window boxes and he would talk to a guy about the back wall and see what they could do to bring it down. Said the gap above the door was normal. Ive called numerous times throughout the summer with no response back. i ended up caulking the whole back wall between the bottom stud and the concrete from the inside and outside because i couldn't wait anymore since water, bugs, etc were coming in.. Also the front doors that had a 1 inch gap above them, all they did was nail a piece of green vinyl siding on the wood, so it would blend in, but still left the rest exposed.. none of their sheds on display had this issue...and the doors rub together when the weather changes...fiberglass isnt suppose to do that. But i also noticed the doors were very poorly made. very disappointed. Tried all summer to contact them , leaving many messages on the phone and no response back.. When i talked to a rep at the fair, he said they use different doors now and to keep calling to complain. Why, just get excuses.. I was looking for a rebate of some kind for the shoddy workmanship. Probably why i never got called back..

it went very well.everything we talked about was met and built to our satisfaction. very happy. I would definetly recommend House Crafters to everyone, from the concrete crew to the garage builders to the electricians were very respectful and listened to what you had to say. they cleaned up after themselves every day they were there.I am definetly gonna use them again.

    RJ Properties, Inc.
The work is still going on, but I am writing in response to another review I stumbled across. This customer gave RJ Properties an F and a scathing critique. I can't believe we are dealing with the same company. My experience with Jeff has been the exact opposite on every count. His quote was more than fair; his professionalism is top notch; he responds immediately to any concerns I may have; and you can tell he takes pride in his work. What impresses me is that he makes suggestions that are in my best interest, not with the goal of improving his bottom line. Jeff's employees are all respectful, polite, and diligent. (Example: After scraping and painting the side of my building, they power washed my driveway and front sidewalk.) My project is about halfway done, and so far I am very pleased- Jeff really knows his stuff. I'll write a follow-up review when the job is done.

The project went EXCELLENT !! I work for a contracting company and deal with all kinds of companies on a daily basis ,needles to say some Great, some not so . I met with Tim Russell and reviewed the drawings with all of our wish lists. Tim estimated the project and came up with a proposal. The proposal has a associated cost which you are reimbursed for if you move forward with the project, I thought that was a great idea since estimating takes time and you will find out by working with Russell Renovations  he did not do his estimating on a bar napkin . The guy really knows what he's doing and is fair. He can direct you on items your not familiar  with help you avoid wrong choices . The project was anticipated being around 6-8 weeks which he actually beat even when we added items as the project was underway. He also will work with you if you choose to perform some of the work yourself . Our experience was great and we look forward to working with the Russell Renovations in the future.

    HMP General Construction LLC
After the job was done we had two problems - down spouts were cut too short on the back of the house watch caused some water in our basement. They came the same day I called and fixed the problem. Several weeks later we noticed water damage over our front window, called and again they got ASAP! They found the problem and fixed it.

Was very happy with the way everything went. Price we agreed on in the beginning was

what we paid. Only extra cost was the removal and disposed of 2 tree stumps, which we expected. Will admit he doesn't return phone calls very well, but eventually he does get back to you. The only other problem I had, was when they finished building my garage, clean up was not done very well. Probably found 3 solo cups of nails. The owner also owns a concrete business, waiting for a date to have our driveway done.

    Sun Enterprises
Things went pretty well and was completed within a week of signing the contract.  The shed was installed in one day, despite torrential downpour and thunderstorms that blew through during construction.  They were open to negotiating on price and although they were not the cheapest we spoke with, they seemed to be very responsive, professional, and qualified.  The shed appears to be constructed well and there are no complaints on the quality or price we paid. The only negative is that because of the heavy rains and our soggy lawn, they could not control the mud issues.  Mud got everywhere on the shed as they were building it, inside and out.  Our lawn was very muddy and trampled in the area that they were working.  They tried to control some of it by laying down some plywood, but it wasn't very effective.  They apologized for it and to be honest I don't think that there was anything they could have done to avoid causing such a mess.  I only wish that they had come back at a later time to clean up.  As a result, my husband spent the better part of the following weekend, power washing the exterior while I hand washed the interior as best as we could. If I wanted to nit-pick, I could also comment that they left (most likely unintentional) remnants from their lunch, which my dogs were all too happy to find.  They also smoked on site which I find unprofessional and bothersome as a non-smoker, but I did not find any cigarette butts. I would definitely hire this company again.
