The workmanship is great. If there was an underlying problem discovered during Work Matt would let me know and fix it. I have had him do quite a lot of work at my house and will continue to. Highly recommend.

Jake is the epitome of what a business owner is he is very knowledgeable and experienced in construction offers suggestions and an all around nice guy. I can't say enough about Jake. I called him on a Tuesday he came out Wednesday and completed the 5 windows, microwave shelf, installed two fan lights, removed kitchen counter tops, sink and leveled cabinets for new granite all on the Friday of the same week...awesome. We are getting the house ready to sell and these items needed to be completed and by Jake squeezing us in we are ahead of schedule by one week. The pics are before and after we couldn't be happier with everything he did. His prices are very reasonable and affordable. If you need work done Jake is your man. I'm having him look at my rental property to update the bathroom and also back splash in my kitchen. It's not every day you come across an honest hard working person who takes pride in his work. Thanks Jake!!!

Work went better than expected. Rich was on time and exceed my expectations...and even did a few extras at no charge. I understood that drywall work requires time to dry and reapply so he did as much as he could in the 4 hour slot. Basically all I have to do is a simple sand and paint and Rich did all the hard work. I will definitely keep his number in my phone for these smaller jobs that most larger companies do not want to bother with.

The project went EXCELLENT !! I work for a contracting company and deal with all kinds of companies on a daily basis ,needles to say some Great, some not so . I met with Tim Russell and reviewed the drawings with all of our wish lists. Tim estimated the project and came up with a proposal. The proposal has a associated cost which you are reimbursed for if you move forward with the project, I thought that was a great idea since estimating takes time and you will find out by working with Russell Renovations  he did not do his estimating on a bar napkin . The guy really knows what he's doing and is fair. He can direct you on items your not familiar  with help you avoid wrong choices . The project was anticipated being around 6-8 weeks which he actually beat even when we added items as the project was underway. He also will work with you if you choose to perform some of the work yourself . Our experience was great and we look forward to working with the Russell Renovations in the future.

I originally purchased services for 299 in March. I immediately called contractor to inform him of my purchase. He stated that he was booking three months out. I stated that I wanted to get his next appt. He then said he was out of town and will call me when he returned on Thursday. I never received a call. I called multiple times with no response. Finally in April I called and left a message threatening to get a refund. He called me back within an hour. He then stated it was busy season and he will be calling me shortly to schedule a day to do the work. I never received a call back. One random day while at work I received an email asking to schedule an appointment on the 6th of May (i believe it was the 6th but definitely early May) I said that would be fine. I when received an email two days later stating that that day was booked and to select another day. SO basically I was supposed to play this game called "Guess which Day I Have Open". Needless to say I was upset. I emailed him back asking him to call me and let me know which day he dad open and email was not the appropriate from of communication if he is not willing to respond right away. Also it was my work email. He never responded. I called Angies list a week later and stated that the system was updating but he could see the purchase on his end. He also stated that I should try one more time to try to contact the contractor before asking for a refund. He confirmed my purchase which was Handyman for the day for 199. I said no handyman for the day for 299. He said they currently have a promotion for 199. I asked the rep if I purchased the 299 which included 2 handymen and he stated no the ad only stated one handyman. while on the phone with Angies List the contractor called and informed me that he would be scheduling very soon. i agreed and hung up with the contractor. I am now back on the phone with the Rep and he he informed me that because the purchase was within 30 days I can get a refund and then purchase the other ad...Me being an airhead I did. Now we are into May still did not hear from this guy. I finally left another email threatening to get a refund and he called back. We scheduled for 5/27 life is good. The worker scheduled to come on the scheduled day called me on 5/23 and asked to reschedule until June 10 or 11 I said "hellz no!" I am scheduled to be off on Friday (5/27) and I am not changing my schedule so he said ok I'll be there. Today is Friday 5/27 and I have not seen the worker at all. I called the owner and he stated that he spoke to the worker scheduled the day before and gave him my information because he was concerned about the day he was scheduled to work. I told him I denied the change in schedule and I have not seen nor heard from him since. He said he would call me back. It is n ow 3:33pm it is over 82 degrees outside my kids are off and I have been waiting for this guy all day instead of living my life. Needless to say SHAME on contractors for being so unprofessional and waisting peoples time. I am requesting a refund. Cheap is not always good. I cant speak for the quality of work. Maybe he is really good at his trade but hte lack of unprofessionalism is enough for me to spend the last few minutes of my now waisted time to write this long dawn out misspelled venting, review NEVER AGAIN! NEVER AGAIN! Not once but twice!

From the onset, they were what workers were many years ago, These people are craftsman and offer service well beyond anything I have come to expect in recent years. After contacting them for an estimate, they showed up on time and were very receptive to our ideas and actually provided us with options which we never considered. After giving them the contract, they showed up on time every day. Their work ethics are second to none. All work was performed in a professional manner and they left the jobsite clean after every day. Ilya, the son in this Father / Son company, was at our house for five days performing numerous tasks which ran the gambit of construction trades. All work was performed in a timely manner and he was receptive to changes made mid-stream. This usually is met with attitude but he simply executed the changes we asked for. I have supervised construction crews in the past and these people exhibited old school work ethic with modern tools & products. I have already asked them for an estimate for additional work and have referred them to do some work at my Mothers house .Simply stated, professional ,punctual, ethical and reasonably priced.

I think the pictures speak for themselves!!

    Randy McWethy's HandyMan Services
The first time I hired him a few years ago he a good job of painting my living room and dining room.  I subsequently hired him for some odd jobs and he did a decent job for a fair amount.
Last week I hired him to remove the wallpaper in my kitchen, paint the ceiling, repair the walls, paint the walls, remove the linoleum, then replace the linoleum with a laminate floor.  He bid $650 for the job with me buying the paint and the floor.  the kitchen is 12 x 12, with L-shaped cabinets and a little less than 120 sq feet of open floor space.
It was to be a three day job but I subsequently decided that sheet vinyl was the best option and he does not install sheet vinyl.  but that didn't help shorten the job.  At the end of four days he had removed old linoleum, removed the wallpaper, replaced two sections of the subfloor, painted the ceiling, repaired the walls, painted the walls, and installed trim between the kitchen cabinets and the ceiling for $600.  I?m hiring someone else to install a vinyl sheet floor.
I don?t know what happen between the first time I had hired him a few years ago and this time, but this time was 180 degrees different.  I paid him because I thought he was honestly trying to do the job even though I have concluded he did not have the necessary skills or knowledge to accomplish the task in a satisfactory matter.  At least he did show up and try.  But in the end all I got for my money was the removal of the wall paper, a passable job on the trim for the cabinets, and perhaps an adequate replacement of two sections of the subfloor.  I?m $600 poorer but not $600 closer to completion of the project.
On the first day, Friday, he showed up with nothing more than a putty knife to remove the wallpaper.  Realizing that would not suffice, he decided to remove the old linoleum floor first, which was a mistake because the subfloor ended up with no protection from the removal of the wallpaper, repair of the walls, and painting.  Moreover, he merely ripped the rubber baseboard off the wall and the cabinets, leaving most of the glue, which he then proceeded to sand off the wall (he never removed the glue from the cabinets.  I subsequently learned that he should have used a heat gun to remove the baseboard and glue together, and the heat gun and a putty knife to remove the residue.  He knew I had a heat gun because I told him I had purchased many years ago to remove some stubborn wallpaper in the bedroom.
After removing the floor, he left for about an hour and a-half to buy a steamer and some plywood to replace two sections of the subfloor.  When he returned he replaced the two sections of the subfloor, but he didn?t make a cut around the door jam on one side of the stairwell. A piece needs to be put in that small section because otherwise the vinyl floor will have no support and will crack and deteriorate at that spot.  He did not fill in the spaces between the old and new plywood sections, nor did he cover the nails.  I don?t know if that is necessary but it was obvious that it was done when the original subfloor was put in.   I won?t know until the floor installer shows up whether his work on the subfloor needs to be completed or replaced.  But that was only the beginning of my disappointment with his work this time.
I?m also going to hire someone to fix the walls properly and repaint them.  As the pictures show he left lots of holes and uneven sections in the walls, every wall has paint drips, and he even left a few spots unpainted.  Although he was here for four days, he barely worked 2 1/2 days.  He didn?t show up until 10 am each morning, and except for Saturday, he would leave by 3 pm or 4 pm, and took an hour or more for lunch.  On Saturday he showed up at 10, left at 11 because he was sick, returned about 2, then worked until about 7.
I removed about one-quarter of the wallpaper myself on Friday night and Saturday because it was obvious the job was otherwise going to go on forever.
I also spent about an hour Saturday night cleaning Durabond off the woodwork, cabinets, counters, and sink.  On Sunday I had to chase him down my driveway to get him to come back and clean up all the primer he had gotten on the windows, trim, and counters.I don't know what it will cost me to hire someone to repaint the walls (after properly repairing all the poorly repaired sections) but I do know I can do a better job myself than what I got for $600.

From our very first visit to their store to the last day of the renovation, Keith and his crew were very professional and efficient. Keith listened to us when we told him what we wanted and he drew up plans. We agreed on the design, and then we chose all of the elements including face plate and the tile for the hearth. On the agreed upon date, Keith's crew arrived on time. They worked every day all day until the job was finished. At the end of every day, they cleaned the area, and when the work was completed, I didn't have even a speck of plaster dust to clean up. They were professional, efficient, and very courteous. I couldn't possibly have asked for more. When they were finished, they made sure that we knew how to care for our new fireplace and how to operate it safely. I/we are thrilled with our new gas fireplace and the cabinetry that was built just for us!
