A Man With a Van & More Inc
Fantastic! Jimmy and his team were professional, knowledgeable, courteous and punctual. They even started and finished ahead of schedule due to a large and well coordinated team, working long hours but with a lovely attitude and a true commitment to a quality job. I had worked with them before on a smaller job and was confident this larger one would work well and it did. I highly recommend them!

    The Moving Company
Roy was terrific. Very nice. Very personable. A total pleasure to talk with. He really seemed interested in getting his fledgling company off the ground on a good note. They were hired to pack up our house and move it. We knew from the start that about half the house would end up in storage. Roy was the low bidder but was available on our schedule and seemed like a good guy. Unfortunately, he really underbid the job. Should have come with more people to pack and more people to move stuff. Should have come with two 26 foot trucks instead of one 18 foot truck. He says he did that to save us money. My opinion is that he, as the professional, should have insisted on the right resources for the job and quoted it appropriately. Should not have taken on the work at a lower bid only to just get killed later when the job took more time.
That said, he made a valiant effort and ended up making 5 trips (two to the storage and 3 to the apartment). But a two day move turned into 4 and a half days and it was extremely stressful on our family. At one point, we had to stay in a hotel and wear the same clothes two days in a row because all our possessions were on a truck that could not be unloaded late at night at the new address.
Still, I like the guy and his crew. And would not have taken the time to write this bad review except for this: Most of the guys on his crew were inexperienced. They were strong, hard working guys, but not experienced moving professionals. They dutifully wrapped all our belongings in shrink wrap. But then didn't realize the shrink wrap doesn't protect against damage. Many of the items they moved now have dents and dings. Especially on the corners. There is no amount of money that can solve that problem. Some of the damaged items were fairly expensive pieces. Others, not so expensive but hard to replace at any reasonable cost. He offered to file an insurance claim, but that's not really the point. They should have taken reasonable care to protect the furniture. If there had only been one or two things, I would have written it off as the risk of moving. But these guys were recklessly inexperienced and it showed in the way they handled our possessions. Buyer beware. Maybe he'll learn from this experience but it won't help us.

A Man With a Van & More Inc
I needed a piano moved from one room to another.   The move itself was short and easy, but the timing was critical.   Because we're renovating our house, we needed the move to take place at a very particular time -- after floors had been refinished in our living room, and before the painting could be done in our kitchen.   We also need the work to be done very carefully to avoid damaging the newly refinished floors.   Jim responded to my inquiry immediately, and we very quickly agreed on a time that would work perfectly.   Then, because of an unexpected scheduling change on my end that required me to move up the work by a day, he scrambled to get his crew here on about two hours notice, on a Sunday afternoon.   When they arrived, they were courteous, professional, and quick, and they did a great job.   When our construction is finished, there will be more moving to be done, and I now know exactly who to call.

College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving Co
This Angie's List Big Deal worked more smoothly than any other I have used.    I clicked on the button, bought the deal and the provider responded very quickly and agreed to one of my chosen times for the service.      I was given a 2 hour window for arrival, and they called during the last 5 minutes of that time to tell me they were running a bit behind schedule.   Otherwise, the junk hauling went perfectly.    Three guys and a truck arrived and took away most of the stuff I wanted gone.

A Man With a Van & More Inc
In looking to hire a mover, I contacted several different companies. A Man With A Van was extremely quick to respond via email and phone. They were flexible with regard to my schedule and showed up right on time. The movers were extremely courteous, professional, and EFFICIENT. They went to great lengths to protect my furniture, as well as the walls and floors of my house. I had grossly underestimated the amount of boxes I had, causing them to bring a smaller truck (they told me they'd bring a smaller truck before they did it) that wasn't quite big enough to move all my supplies. Fortunately, they had another van from their fleet come immediately. I was pretty much at their whim at this point and they could have really taken advantage of me charging for the extra van, but Jimmy (the owner) only charged another $300 - more than fair considering another truck and person had to stay with us for several hours. Not a single item was broken or damaged. I would never hesitate to use these movers again and recommend them without hesitation.

    Liberty Moving & Storage
Moving 33 years of accumulated furniture and other "stuff" is a difficult,  and an anxiety ridden event. The staff of Liberty, from start to finish, made it a much easier, and an almost pleasant experience. Stephen Talenti, the estimator, and Tom Pendleton, the move coordinator were always available and answered our questions, and addressed our concerns in a timely manner. The moving crew, headed by Nestor, did an outstanding job of moving our belongings under difficult circumstances. Both our old home in Chappaqua, and our new home in Bethel had snow and ice covering much of the area surrounding the houses. The crew had to shovel snow, or chop ice, to provide safe passage to and from the moving van. They did this with no hesitation and in good spirits. The men were courteous, friendly and obviously very capable as they effected the move with absolutely no damage.
Although the shoveling and ice removal added time to the move I was not charged for this time, and the price I was quoted by Stephen was the price I paid. It was a sincere pleasure to deal with such an honorable organization, and I would recommend them without hesitation, or qualification.

We had one of the worst experiences for our move. We had 5 people from serenity movers over and the lead of the group was one of the worst ones I have ever seen. He was rude to his own staff as well as to us. There were two big scratches due to furniture move on our brand new hardwood floors. The lead mover was so rude during this process that he was shouting at us.
On the positive side, Max is one of the best I have seen in customer service. I wish Serenity can clone him for rest of their service and customer dealings.

The move went well. They helped us set up the furniture and place it where we wanted in the new house. Moving is very stressful, especially after 24 years in one house. Jimmy's group was great and I would definitely use them again.

Service was great.  Very responsive with communication to set up the job.  The crew was careful with packing our nice furniture so nothing would be damaged.  They showed up on time, did everything they said they would, took great care of our belongings, and they stuck to the price that was quoted.  I would definitely use them again.
