    Bradsell Painting & Carpentry
I want to let everyone know what an A+ job these guys did on our house. The place has never looked better and the staff has been incredible. In particular, I want to tell you how impressed we all our with Caesar. His hard work and his dedication to get everything exactly right are rare qualities of pride that we dont see enough of these days. Caesar and all of the crew cared about this job and it shows - you guys are lucky to have him on your staff and our family is lucky to have found you. We will be long time Bradsell customers and fans. Thanks for the truly excellent job.

    Papa & Sons Contracting Inc
it went well. it was a big job, which spanned over a week. we had a few issues that came up, such as rotting wood, and they were all addressed quickly and professionally. it was also a messy job, with nails, shingles and debris all over the place, but the guys were pretty thorough in cleaning it up at the end of each day. It was hard with 2 dogs at home, but the guys were very cooperative about moving the truck so we can leave with the dogs and take them on walks away from the property. overall, it was a professional job and they always stayed in touch with us about issues, next steps, etc. It was also an expensive job, although I feel that they did as good of a job as possible trying to keep the costs from escalating as issues came up.

    Papa & Sons Contracting Inc
Perfect - Robert Papa and his team are professionals. High quality work; reasonable pricing; timely and responsive. They did a quality job installing the new roof which was put to the test a couple of days later - no leaks! Would definitely use them again

    Twin Brothers Roofing
Did excellent diagnostics. 3 other guys that I called did not figure out what was wrong with the roof. Very professional, pleasant to work with. Used new materials like EPDM rubber.
Finished the work quickly, roof and all installations are all working well.

David and Rob showed up on the date, and time, previously agreed to!  They were efficient and professional.  They explained exactly what they were going to do and why.  When I first made an appointment David showed up when he said he would and gave me a price right there and then.  The price did not change at all when the work was done.  After the job was complete they swept the area to ensure there would be no metal, screws, etc. remaining.

Since they were doing a replacement they made sure that the replacement parts matched the color of what was existing.

In addition they are two decent, professional people.

    Perry Verrone LLC
Perry's Roofing Company did an amazing job on our roof . After 25 years, it was time to replace our roof. We called Perry Verrone and a few other roofers to get estimates. After doing our homework, researching reviews and just getting a brief education on roofs and then meeting and speaking with many, we decided to hire Perry. Basically the job involved, removing all existing asphalt roofing and carting it away. All rotted plywood was replaced. Ice and snow barrier installed on all gutter edges and valleys. Paper installed on entire roof. Timberline shingles installed, copper chimney flashing installed and gutters and leaders installed.
I would highly recommend Perry's Roofing Company and would definately call them for any roofing needs we may ever have again. Professional, honest and responsible. So happy that we came across them through Angies List!! Thank you.

    WJR Contracting Inc
My husband and I invested in Ecotimber, the bamboo flooring highest rated by Consumers Digest, and ordered the moisture barrier underlay recommended by Ecotimber, MP Global Quietwalk. We also opened the flooring packaging and left it for over a week so it would acclimatize to our basement as instructed. Flavio Suqui had been recommended by a co-worker of my husband. He wrote a proposal on behalf of WJR Construction Inc. and supervised and performed the work with his brother and 2 other workers.

Each package of flooring contained an instruction booklet about correct installation. Mr Suqui and his brother threw away the booklets with the packaging and went on to ignore every single instruction. They put in the moisture barrier wrong side up (the packaging specifies how to lay it but they did not read it.) They arranged the bamboo planks so that the joins created an H pattern down the centre of the room. I caught these mistakes quickly and insisted that they correct them and lay the planks in a random pattern as is normal practise. I also pointed out that they needed to leave an expansion gap at the edges of the room. I was not able to stay and watch the work as I had my own work to do.
Because a friend of my husband had recommended them, I was still assuming at this point that WJR Construction Inc. knew basically how to lay a click lock floor. I was wrong! A week after the floor was laid, the flooring began to rise up and buckle (our walk out basement floor is completely dry and we use a dehumidifier.) A week later as it got worse, my husband removed the baseboard trim. The instruction booklet specified a 1/2 inch expansion gap at the sides of the planks and 1/4 inch at the ends. We found that WJR used no spacers or chalk line and cut each board carelessly so the expansion gaps ranged raggedly from 0 inches to 3/4 inch at the ends of the planks. At the sides of the planks the gap was less than 1/16 inch in some places. Also the underlay was cut too small and did not extend a little way up the wall as instructed. When the flooring had expanded slightly as is usual in summer, it had buckled. Our beautiful and very expensive flooring (around $3000) was ruined by poor craftsmanship and carelessness.
My husband contacted Mr Suqui multiple times. Suqui turned up once and roughly cut an expansion gap along one section that we had exposed next to a wall - and then left. The flooring adjacent to that spot flattened out. However there are other places where the floor is badly buckled. The trim has not been replaced and the door saddles were not fixed in place. My husband continued to call him and Suqui sent a couple of flooring guys. Both said that they needed to remove all the trim and add proper expansion gaps but neither came back. We were given appointments by Suqui and left waiting while no-one turned up three different times.

This past Saturday (10th August 2013) we waited home all day because Flavio Suqui told us that a flooring guy would come and fix the floors. No-one came and no-one contacted us. My husband called Suqui and got another excuse. Two months after the installation we have contacted another company to give us an estimate for addressing the problems. The flooring may need to be partially taken up and reinstalled and of course we will have to pay all over again. Flavio Suqui and WJR Contracting Inc. do not have the skills they claim to have and apparently don't care enough to even check how to perform their work correctly.
We have photographs documenting the faulty installation and terrible workmanship. We are also making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Protection Agency for Westchester County.

The Brothers That Just Do Gutters
They were excellent. Their service and quality was very good. They were very professional, they came on time and they are productive. The advertisement was excellent, I would say it is right down the money because they said whatever is right and they did a good job. Installation wise, quality wise and I was satisfied.

    BDW Roofing LLC
Don, the owner of BDW LLC, is an extremely knowledge person with a tremendous amount of experience and conscientiousness. He has a high amount energy level, he works hard and does things the right way. He is also very good are figuring out what the problem is and how to fix it.
He also has very good people working for him and they know what they are doing too.
While BDW is not inexpensive, his prices are fair for the work performed. For the money you will pay, you can be assured that Don will do things in such a way that you will not have to have it redone. His work will last. I can not say that is true of many of the other contractors that we have used in the past.
I would not at all hesitate to recommend Don to my friends and relatives. He is first class and does first class work. I assure you that you will not be disappointed. The work will be done correctly and will last !

Our gutters were in need of replacement.  Between the harsh winter and the already sagging gutter over our kitchen window [which provided a pretty waterfall when it poured], we decided it is time.   I called several companies and got a similar price for the job.  Since we already used Hastings for our roof in 1998[9] and were extremely satisfied with that job, we chose them to replace the gutters.  The job came out great.   They came when they said they would and did the job in one day.  They removed all debris from site.  They [gutters] look good but until it rains, who knows.   A few days after the job it rained very hard,  [fast moving thunderstorm providing lots of rain in a short period of time] a great test.  The gutters and downspouts passed the test.  Hastings gets an "A".
